    JB, stop with the SLT is a low trim nonsense lol.
    This is a very nice truck. The max tow package is a work around for people wondering so you stay under 26,000 GCWR if you’re towing a 14,000 GVWR trailer. 11,750+14,000= 25,750 and no need for a Class A CDL if you’re a business. A SRW 3500 would be 12,100+14,000= 26,100 which would require a Class A CDL if you’re a business. The max tow 2500 is the exact same rear suspension as the SRW 3500. So it’s pencil whipping the numbers for commercial use guys.

    I'd take the SLT over the Denali but with the Texas Edition package. Great video and Merry Christmas!🎄

    So this truck comes in $6k under what I paid for my 24 Denali 2500 with max trailering package. Some differences between mine and this one is that I have the heads up display and rear camera mirror. I also have the power retractable running boards with perimeter lighting. I also have the all weather package that includes the extended molded mud flaps. In addition to this, the premium badging, upgraded interior and denali animated entry display provide an upgraded look compared to the SLT. In my opinion, it’s worth the extra $6k especially when looking at resale value with a higher trim level. Another great review JB!

    best thing is auto 4WD and mirrors and you rarely hear anyone talk about but it actually is quite significant is digital variable steering....Ive owned LT 2500 and now a High Country and its very noticeable....especially at slower speeds, much easier to turn the wheel

    I realize you're a big fan of the Denali glitz and flash, but I come from an older generation and the higher optioned SLT hit my hot buttons. You'll maybe laugh, but my biggest motivator was the hideous (to me) look of the Denali wheels, yeah they can be changed, but why? I also preferred the dash with the bin behind the screen for my sunglasses (I know, I know, and yeah, I miss the overhead compartment my older truck had). My SLT is nearly identical to this rig without the 3500 chassis parts, came in just under $2k less. To each their own............

      GMC has been doing this for a while. For instance, you can load SLTs all the way up to Denali-level equipment on 1/2 and HD trucks. But some buyers don't care for the glitzy rims and chrome everything.

    The SLT offers the center console (SLE does not) and has the trailer brake controller in the exact same location as the Chevy which is great. The interior is a carbon copy of my 2024 Silverado 3500 LT SWR. My payload is 4015lbs and cost $73k. Roughly 10k less than this GMC. You do get the cool LED look on the grill and power extending mirrors but otherwise it’s the same interior, engine, suspension, frame, brakes, multi-folding tailgate, 360 camera, hitch and bed views, power rear window, etc..as my 3500 LT. I do like the GMC grill, but I’d rather save $10k. It cost me a whopping $65 to put in LED bulbs and switchbacks for the parking lights look nice.

      That is interesting, lately I had been looking at the GM specific website and noted as you said that the SLE had no bucket seat/full console option and had to jump up to the SLT to get that configuration. I made an error in assuming the Chev LT would have the same configuration choices to the SLE, and that one would have to step up to the LTZ to get buckets etc. What games they play it seems, I still wonder though what if any differences there are between a LT equipped with various add on options vs a SLT similarly equipped. Another thing I had not realized until more lately was that even the High Country for 2024 has what could be called the standard dash ( where the vents are located, therefore the info center height, row of piano switches etc ) and up to the LTZ trim is the same. And as this video also pointed out, the AT4 and above trim have the other style of dash which therefore is deemed "premium", now if it has advantages or not is a good question, I have read where drivers complain about the column gear shift knob is blocking the view on the upscale version so that part is not bonus. And as to chrome bumpers vs painted, not that I have priced out the latest GM part one vs the other, the theme has been on any of the brands of pickups that if a painted bumper has been damaged its typically far far more expensive to replace because its NOT painted when purchased and have to get a body shop to color match the paint and paint it, very different from just ordering a chrome bumper and bolting the darned thing on and carrying on with life.

    • @charlesb4267
      @charlesb4267 7 місяців тому

      @@outfitr9703 Ok, was not sure at what truck level they installed that in, I find it very confusing with all the changes within each package and each truck trim level ... I am sure they are quite happy to make it confusing so some customers will just throw up their hands and say give me the Denali and bend me over the counter !. Another item I don't know at what level or each brand ( GM or Chev ) that they go from a possible no or limited steering wheel adjustments to a manual system to the full electric up/down and fore/aft system.

    • @bradniehues9560
      @bradniehues9560 7 місяців тому +2

      I used to always get the SLE in the past when I bought new pickups. I recently got an AT4. Yeah it’s way more than I needed but honestly there isn’t a huge difference in price between the two if you spec out an SLE with everything. And the problem I have is that you can no longer get the console and no leather upgrade. I know back in 2020 you could still spec a SLE out with a console and leather. I believe with the Silverado you still can do this on an LT but I haven’t checked in a while. Now if you just want a bare bones optioned SLE they are pretty “cheap” relative to what you get. Still get the upgraded interior over the WT trims and LED lights. You can always upgrade tires and wheels with aftermarket and put a leather kit in.
