I actually disagree. You'd be much better off getting a decent guitar for 300 quid or so used. Get something that won't give you trouble and will actually encourage you to play! If after a year you don't like it, you can always put it back up for sale!
@@mathewcormier5445 Nah you could totally gig with a 45$ geetar!!......if you only play the thinnest 3 strings and swamp it with reverb and are playing in a shoegaze or dreampop act.......lol
Not bad at all. I used to like buying cheap second hand guitars then upgrading them (easy for me to say, my grandad builds them too). My favourite is a £40 Westfield that I picked up. Now it's got a steel nut, skull machine heads, scalloped frets (12th down), upgraded electrics, bumble bee capacitor, a yjm single coil, custom single coil and custom humbucker. Custom artwork (borderlands 2 inspired) painted by an artist friend on the pick guard and revolver cylinder style knobs. To me it is priceless 🙂
I actually bought this same guitar from wish (using a promo code I actually got it for $30). I did a set up on it and put a hot rail in the bridge position. It plays great! After a set up it stays in tune very well. By the way, I got the hot rail on Wish too.... $5!!! Looking to buy another one again.
I learned on a cheap 40 dollar acoustic guitar, the wood on the body was thin as hell and the frets were unpolished, sharp, and stuck to my hand when I tried to slide or bend. The strings were high and caused me great pain. It was never in tune. Looking back I’m glad I got that guitar. It allowed me to build strength, tolerance, how to look for the rights and wrongs, and right from the get go I had smoothed over calluses. In the end, rubber finger molds and guitar gadgets will not spare u pain, they will only prolong it.

I absolutely love these type of videos. I'm learning to play currently, knowing theres some decent cheap shit out there is nice.
Check "Zakk Wylde playing N.I.B with a Hello Kitty guitar" just awesome
Wouldn’t mind a longer video where we get to see you set it up and then do an after-setup play through.
Probably better than my 100$ guitar that came with an amp
It's really the same, they come from the same factories but china can sell it without the namebrand on the headstock for super cheap.
‘Taking One For The Team’ is what comes to mind with this cheapest from series
Fluff you need a proper unboxing knife lol. I laugh every time you flip out that box cutter. Every man needs a good blade. Keep the great vids coming.
This is awesome, have been following you on Instagram for years and didn’t realise you were a UA-camr lol
That guitar actually looks really cool
Love the ETID riffing!
I wonder what you do with those cheap guitars after making these videos
I bought one...the tuners were the worst I've seen... bizarre rattle...I replaced the bridge block with a GFS Brass one.
Replaced string tree and trimmed the baseball bat neck and now it sings...I like the weak pickups...my other guitar is a monster so nice change
How much distortion do you want?
Yes
I bought my guitar at a pawn shop for 70 dollars. The guitar was a nice guitar but only when we’re out of the store I realized that the bottom three strings were broken. Sad part is it’s my first guitar but I will do the best I can on E A D strings.
you could do the cheapest audio interface.
"Oh, sweet! Let's see what kind of crap he gets"
>Literally the guitar I bought at a local instrument shop
"Oh, okay... Yeah, and it sounds the same..."
Time for a proper setup, I guess hahahah
Not disappointed, def sounds like a 45$ guitar
Love the sneaky etid riff
AirPods: 200$
Wish: ~200$~ 8$
Heres an idea, set a limit of no more than the price of the guitar for new hardware/pickups/pickguard from amazon so that you can also demo that, a setup, and then itll also show if a cheap guitar with upgrades is studio/live quality and how much it is compared to say a 400-600+ dollar guitar. Basically 100 dollar super strat vs 500 dollar superstrat or something.
Opie Winston ripping some guitar
Videos like this teach you it's more important to have something good to play the guitar thru than the guitar itself for sound to an extent lol
