That's absolutely brilliant enginenerding! Making a slingshot V8 & 4 wheeled is a great idea but shaping the exo-cage like a stingray is the icing on the sick AF cake! Freeeeedommmmmm!
Mike O'Barr problem is im fairly sure the seats arent stock and will kill you in a flip.
@@bobtherock26 They appear to be stock slingshot seats as they have the same orange accents as the rest of the car. And either way, the car has "roll bars". Also, with as wide as this beast is, the chance of rolling it is slim to none.
Alex Hill I agree. You’re more likely to flip a stock slingshot being 3 wheel.
Alex Hill if the seats are stock then everythings good but if they are not and the seat position is higher then the roll over protection (doesnt have roll cage) aint working. If u draw a mental line from the roll protection and the highest part of the front of the chassis, it looks like the line would go through a drivers head. In fairness im making pure speculation but if u can flip an f1 car, u can flip this.
@@bobtherock26 Yes you're right that from the roll protection to the hood (the next sturdy location) it would probably be at an angle limiting headroom in a rollover. I didn't think of that. And also, F1 cars are normally going much faster and at more Gs then this car will probably ever pull. In the event this was taken to a track it would never pass tech

@@MrJune4 its street legal. I didnt put the headlights on it before the tune session. Jeremy saw this thing for the first time on the day of filming and assumed it's not street legal. 🤔

I'm doing a V8 swap into a car right now too, it's a poor man's version though. Have a 78 Corolla and I'm putting a SBC 350, the whole cost for me probably costs less than your intake lol but I have a supercharger for it. I'm jealous man enjoy your build and car!

Dustin Evans I guess you don’t like the sound of this supercharged engine because it is a “screw style” (Whipple blower) and not a “roots style” supercharger. Sorry I was scrolling comments and couldn’t resist busting your chops a bit about the “(roots style)” comment when it was mentioned that it had a Whipple Blower on it but I do agree I love the sound of Supercharged engine (regardless of style).

Shouldn't a supercharged ls3 make at least 650/700 hp
He did say it wasn't making that much boost and had stock heads so that may be why
Should make 430 stock so I'd figure it around 450 475 maybe 500
It always depents on the setup you run (different superchargers have different efficiencys and displacements) and on the amount of boost you run
And of course the 90ish pound wheels
Steffin Mezger The Car was made for Sema and that means you put on unneeded power adders and do other expensive but kinda of pointless things because it either looks good or sounds impressive for the simple reason of just because (that or you were given free sh*t) if put it on the car. Hence the term “show car”.

Yeah, it's not a cage. That's just a tube skeleton of sorts. The slingshot has an integrated roll bar though.
DolphinDivingChamp What you are calling a “cage” is just an “exoskeleton body” wrapped around a Slingshot chassis hence why you see the Orange “roll hoops” protruding above the “exoskeleton body” just behind each seat.

If you need taillights in a bind, get some magnetic tow lights and wire in a flasher and connect to a jumper pack. Quick and easy portable hazard lights.
A buddy of mine owns a dealership so I have driven a Slingshot many times...They are just fun to drive....now this beast has to be absolutely crazy fun!
