    The differ b/w electrolytic cell and Daniel cell ; the anode is positive and cathode is negative in electrolytic cell while anode is negative and cathode is positive in Daniel cell.Actually the anode is negative in Daniel because of the presence of zinc sulphate solution in its half cell when zinc looses its electrons , they gather at anode and as electrons are negatively charged particles so anode also Becomes negative. These electrons flow from Zn_electrode through the external wire in a circuit to copper electrode (cathode), these electrons are gained by the copper ions of solution and copper atoms deposit at the cathod.As the cathode looses electrons so it becomes positive.       But in electrolytic cell, also the anions lose electrons at anode ... Why doesn't it become negative in that case. Kindly help

    In the last step of a rxn... Copper doesn't carry positive charge after gain electrons.. Bczz copper is metal and has tendency to stabilize itself after gaining electrons... And when any metal gain electrons.. Never bear positive charge on it.. Correct that point

      In the diagram we have positive charge on Cooper because it needs 2 electrons when two electrons are gained it becomes neutral so there is no charge after reduction

      I also want to clear this. I'm not sure but i think in electrolytic cell, the positive end of baterry is towards anode so anode is alo positive. Wheres in galvanic cell, there's no battery. And oxidation occurs at anode (Zn loses electrons) . Electrons gather at anode. As electrons are negative particles, anode becomes negatively charged

      In the galvanic cell, we are converting chemical energy into electrical energy.So in this cell the battery is not used but we use any voltmeter or lamp to check the flow of electrons
