    A tip for all new Phatmoto owners, remove the rear wheel and clean the sprocket/disc bolts, now either replace them with 8.8 or 12.9 quality bolts or if you use the stock, blue thread lock and allow 24 hours of cure time. Otherwise you will fall victim to the dreaded loose/sheared bolt on the rear hub. If you catch it soon you can fix it, if not you'll destroy the rear hub. A timely tip from a 3 1/2 year Phatmoto owner.

      @@glenssmallenginecreations You are welcome. Believe it or not but I have seen maybe 30 + or more 6 hole rear hub failures. Some unlucky guys who have 0 mechanical experience and can't fix it, either by extracting sheared bolts or drilling out the hubs for a bolt and nut combo, end up buying a new rear rim or just parking their bikes. Watch the 2 jack shaft bolts also, they can come loose and stock bolts being Chinese can shear off. Use thread locker on them too, check your crank set bolts also. Enjoy your bike, they are fun but need maintenance.

      Or just not buy their product. They rely on mechanically unsaavy people to buy them. Everything they put on the bike stock is crap. The only decent thing about the bike is the frame and the engine selection. Forks, hardware, clutch, brakes are all crap. Would be nice if they just got their frame patented and sold it for builders who want to make a quality product.

    They're kind of neat but I definitely wouldn't spend over a $1,000 for something I can build for $400. Plus, a lot of negative reviews on these pre-made China dolls. Far better to build one with some American parts, specifically bearings and bolts.

    Hello from Ukraine to USA !
    interesting questions to ask))
    Italian Piaggio Ciao 49cm3 from 1967 vs motorized bike Phatmoto from 2022

      @galina serdiuk I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with the Piaggio ciao but I do know that the phatmoto bikes are more of a low speed,off road type of bike so I'm not sure how it would be in comparison.
      Thanks for watching ✌

    This video was the first that came up with "Phatmoto all terrain 2022 Range Test". Does anyone know how far these would go without pedaling (Other than small assist pedaling)?

    • @glenssmallenginecreations

      @tommy luksha they have a 1.5 gallon tank it depends 9n several things to the distance you can go on that fuel such as riding speed,weight of bike with rider,riding terrain. Usually get 80mpg in general from small engines like these

    It is a moped. Why not call it that? It has mo(tor) and ped(als).

      @Hamann9631 similar to a moped but definitely not the same.moped is built with heavier tubing,cvt trans, electrical accessories that make them street legal,heavier wheels and tires,brakes the list goes on.if you've ever owned a moped the only comparable parts is what you mentioned..engine (not a motor)and pedals

    Right. Now they're building bikes that resemble ebikes with a motor instead? How silly. It takes gas and its loud 😆 🤣 😂 Why?

    • @d00der41
      @d00der41 Рік тому

      Ebike range sucks, and most ebikes have an internal battery. Guess what that means once the battery has gone so many charge/use cycles? Your whole bike ends up in a landfill and your investment ends up a piece of shit leaching PFAs and heavy metals into the groundwater because people who manufacture these bikes are greedy assholes who don't really care about the environment, they just want you buying a brand new bike every 5 years. Besides, a 4 stroke is not loud at all.😆🤣😂

      1- because it can travel 100 miles per tank, 2- because it is faster than a typical E-bike, 3- because it costs less than half what an e-bike costs.
