Little tip from a partner herself: Toffee nut is just a combination of caramel and hazelnut syrup 🤎 So if you ever need your toffee nut kick, you can sub for one pump of each. It’s essentially the same thing. Sending much love 💕
Also, an iced London fog latte, add matcha powder (make sure it’s shaken) taste very similar to a blueberry lavender matcha. It’s a little annoying to make but very much YUM 💖 London fog is an earl grey tea (which is lavender based) milk, and vanilla. You can sub the milk and sweetener to your choice! Enjoy!

My favorite matcha combo at Starbucks is a grande matcha latte with oatmilk and 2 pumps of raspberry syrup. They used to sell a raspberry matcha latte back when I was a teen. It was my fave!!!

I’m a Starbucks barista and for the matcha powder, the ingredients are “sugar, green tea” which means it’s over 50% sugar. No wonder is so sweet and.. gross! LOL

my favorite matcha was one i made when i used to work there a couple years ago, venti soy iced matcha latte with 1 pump peppermint, 2 pumps vanilla, and a drizzle of strawberry purée also is so good as a frappe with no whip!
As a partner at Starbucks, we get mad costumers when we don’t have a syrup like toffee nut , but keep in mind shipment is really behind rn so some locations do have it and other don’t. Also , I believe we are getting hazelnut back ….
it also taste really good with soy milk because it has vanilla in it and its sweet, iced matcha latte with raspberry syrup is also rlly good def recommend

I regularly drink ceremonial matcha. The flavour notes you have mentioned such as nuts, creamy and sweet can be all tasted in an a good quality matcha. The grassy earthy flavors from a matcha are mostly from lower grades of matcha. Considering the price point of starbucks, compound that with how many a person drinks per day, per month, it can prolly match the price of a high quality grade matcha without all the additives. Matcha isnt just grassy and earthy its so much more than that. Ill prolly try the first recipe, lol
What brand would be best for a less grassy taste?
@@jazlynmcneal it depends on the cultivar of the brand and the grade. Yabukita cultivar are mostly grassy/astringent , Okumidori taste more like nutty and green veggie. Sazen and Yunomi has a lot of varieties of matcha. WIth horii Shichimeien and Shogyokuen brand, i taste the nutty and green veggie notes. But ofc, taste is subjective and it differs from person to person. If you tasted matcha matsu from david's tea, that taste grassy. Very different from the veggie I taste from Shogyokuen.

iced matcha latte w an extra scoop, oatmilk OR soy milk and light ice! the soy milk will make it sweet so you don’t need any vanilla syrup.

Next time you should try with the white mocha. The recipe is grande iced matcha latte with 4 pumps of cane sugar, 0.5 or 1 pump of white mocha, light ice and oat base. It turns out really good and makes your drink creamier. This recipe is recommended by a barista from SB with 4 years experienced

I heard that a lot of locations still are out of toffee nut syrup right now. Starbucks stopped making syrups that isn't part of any drinks that are on the menu due to supply chain issues.
