To add to my comment of 7 years ago, this remains my favourite rhythmic interpretation of a great tune. So much harmonic detail - on just 4 strings. I wish you'd have posted more. Magnificent musicianship John. All the best.
John, I just love coming back and revisiting your videos. I am always tickled with what you come up with. Your chord voicings are beyond cool and it is just plain fun.
Awesome! Not just awesome playing skills, but this song is one of my favorites off all time. Words cannot stress enough how much I'd love to have that guitar. I'd get rid of all of my guitars just to have that one. It's a jewel.
Absolutely superb --- period. A beautiful rendition of another wonderful song written in 1963 by Burt Bacharack and Hal David. A year before (1962) they wrote, "Liberty Valance." Not just the catalog (volume) of songs they wrote, but the wide diversity of the kind of songs they wrote is amazing. Even if you're in my age range (65) and grew up listening to Burt Backarack and Hal David, check out the list of songs these two wrote. Incredible. Steve
Great to see you playing, pardoner! You were the first person I ever met who played tenor guitar. You remain, one of the best tenor guitar players in the world. You inspired me to create the Tenor Guitar Registry and the Annual Tenor Guitar Gatherings in Astoria, Oregon.
Me likes this song! Your playing has MAGICALNESS! You still got it! You should come over soon. Bring that guitar!.......and your girlfriend! The kitchen looks great!
Rev Dr Jim Wheeler I am sorry I did not want to chock but I still think you are the best tenor guitar player I have ever heard. I don't know what I would give to play like this. Excuse my english, it is not my natural language, I did not know what means Yelling.. I hope there is no confusion.
I SO love your approach. I'm a tenor banjoist thinking about moving over to tenor guitar. I hope I can come up with some stuff 1/10th as good as what I'm hearing in your videos.
That's very nice playing, John - so nice to see another tenor guitar player on the Tube. I play an acoustic model myself - slightly more old-fashioned, single-string melodic stuff. Anyway - 5 stars from me!
Hey Uncle Johnny! Love this tune! You once sent my mom to her phone a recording you did via cellphone. What was the name of that and can you make a video of that song? The world would love to see it!
John is the baddest ever.💯💯💯💯
You got that right.

The jazzy blues with no pic clean and on time very enjoyable to listen to

For my money, one of the best videos on youtube, along with the Nat King Cole trio doing Little Girl. 4 string...you're killing me, John.

Wow
That guitar doesn't have enough strings on it? What the heck kind of chords are those ?
Tenor guitar. Derived from tenor banjo.
Seems to have plenty enough strings.
@@sclogse1 Nice comeback sclogse1. No truer words were ever spoken.
