John Lawlor's playing is the reason I started playing electric tenor guitar. I already played 6-string guitar & tenor banjo, so I figured I would just blend together what I knew about both instruments. Wrong! The electric tenor guitar is its own thing, & I find it pretty difficult. Thank you John for being my inspiration on this great instrument.
DAMN. That is inspirational (I'm taking up the tenor guitar), and really depressing, because I know that even if I live to be 100, I'll never sound anything like that . . . Lawlor's amazing!
We shot hours of footage of John playing with the trio, with brother Jim, and, of course, solo, plus about an hour of interview footage. Stay tuned.
It is great to finally hear John's musicianship being complemented by other superb players.....MORE PLEASE!
Much more on the way.
You have come a long way from your banjo days in the 70's. All the best to you John.

Hi Tony. I will pass your compliments along to John. I'm sure he will be delighted to hear it.
Go, Johnny, go! Glad to see you with a decent instrument.
How great!! Lawlor Brothers!! I'm going to email my sister Joanne a link!
