I’m really glad to see this video. I’ve been looking to switch to a 302 mani or 18 mani. The 302 looks better, but the 18 seems to have better numbers on all the videos I’ve seen. I also have a 2012 GT with similar miles (78k) and mods. However, I do have catless long tubes with x pipe (resonator and muffler delete) and 3.73 gears.
COYOTE swap or you get DEPORTED thanks for the advice sir. I’ve been going back and forth with this particular mod for several months. 18 mani it is. Thanks fellas.
Thats crazy jlt 18 mani and high flow can get it to 420 👀 just got a 2011 mustang gt and havent done much but a blackhawk cold air intake and muffler delete been thinking about doing the manifold and longtube wit high flow cats
Little known fact, the ports on the 2018 intake are bigger than the intake ports on gen 1 heads, so porting the intakes without porting the heads is absolutely useless
Man I have a FBO 2012 with a DSS aluminum driveshaft, only put down 386. I'm straight butthurt with my numbers, is it because its on a drag radial? I'm talkin full exhaust no cats, ported 18 manifold, steeda intake tuned on 93.
Lots of variables on a dyno, even the type of dyno can show lower numbers. Correct factors, transmission type, weight of tires (yours would produce lower numbers), and type of fuel quality. A lot plays a role in numbers. RPM, temps, knock activity, all sorts of stuff.....
I really want a ported 18 mani. I’ve got a full catless 3 inch exhaust, stock headers, Steeda 93 tune, 85mm TB and Steeda 101mm CAI. I put down 413/393 with just intake and tune. Wonder what I’d be pushing adding the ported mani. Manual car
Impressive stuff for a basically stock Stang, imagine cams and long tubes. Hope your new Dyno serves you well.
THANKS FOR WATCHING!
Cams don’t do anything on a 5.0
@@moosestanggang😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
All those fast 500 wheel horse 3v cars broke your dyno!!!! You'll be back up and running in no time!
THANKS FOR WATCHING! It was time for an upgrade anyways just bad timing!

Thanks for watching. The Boss mani looks way cool, but has a much bigger loss down low.
T-REX GT with 78k miles I would get a 18mani since the boss you will be revving high to get the the full gain & usually “beats” on the engine more

Go with new 18+gt 350 manifold makes 20hp more than the 18 gt manifold fyi

Might be Dirty but still a nice ride....and he has a Brenspeed sticker in the window. Loyalty! Got to love it.
Yes I was just busting his balls lol. Thanks!

Great #'s on a basic setup! Did you guys noticed a significant torque loss with the 18 manifold? Thx Brent!
This car has 4.10 gears so not really. THANKS for watching!

@@BrenspeedEngineering I plan on going e85 and maybe going on a stock wheel to see what it puts down. Love your content and thanks for the reply
These cars (like most cars with MAF sensors and fuel injection) dont need a hot air intake, the cold air induction system (OEMstock) is best if N/A.
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
of course you are the expert and not the professionals, so we should listen to you,...brenspeed politely said "eff off dumbass" LOL
@@charlesmeaux3954 lol. Yeah from my experience the closed box get super hot anyway.
Im planning to do the same mods, just got a 12 5.0 6 Speed manual. What do you think it would get with a set of long tube headers and highflow cats?
Maybe 10 more peak, but more under the curve. THANKS
Do 18 manifolds bolt directly onto s197’s?
As long as you lock out the IMRC yes, and you will need to adjust some vacuum lines. But yes.
I was trying too so that to my 11 gt what’s the price range for just the tune with the jlt and a 302 manifold
Do
Here is a link to the tune

Will the 18 manifold work with my factory cai on my 2014 gt?
Yes it will as well as any aftermarket CAI.
Is that manifold ported bro ?
No it was not ported.
I’m mean how many dyno days has that one made it through?
A LOT LOL, thanks!
Can't you hit 400whp with the stock manifold
Yes it is possible to hit 400 on a manual with the stock manifold
@@BrenspeedEngineering unless i run this to 7500 rpm would you say the stock manifold is better for a street car ???
What type of dyno is this?
Dynojet 224X SAE ratings used
Is that with stock throttle body ?
Yes
When installing the 18 manifold did you need any extra parts to get it installed ?
How much hp/torque is just the 18 intake worth?
I have not done back to back, I just pulled the car in and made a pull. There are lot of videos out on that test though. THANKS for watching!

Thanks for subbing!
Is that an auto car?
Manual, 75k miles.

Track Attack S-197 get the ported 18 and e85
Damn those Gen 1’s are weak
