Oh mama. This helps me feel not so alone. We are a homesteading, homeschooling family with 6 littles from 13-1 yr old. Hubby works a lot so your morning video reminds me of ours. It can be overwhelming at times but I don't think any of us would trade it. Be blessed! You are amazing!

Lovely video Bri...it was a good day on the homestead & a smile on my face remembering all the so-called mundane days I spent raising my 3 kids. Lots of stay at home parents struggle to find the value of what they do during those days...it's nice to have a video reminder of simple times, simple lessons, simply loving others including the animals with care, food & affection. Thanks for sharing it & being a role model for those who never had great parenting themselves. Being a parent is tough...let alone a homesteading, homeschooling, loving & cheerful parent...you are amazing :)
Art and Bri.... I just don't know where to begin! I'm 65 yrs. old, city raised from one of the Ethnic Treasure Chest urban areas of the north. We were taught so many of these lessons as children. Some neighbors kept chickens, most had Summer Kitchens and everyone canned, made sausages learned from our Great Depression parents, how to make the best of every blessing. You are living a lost art, Art! Hopefully people like you will help us all regain not only the skills of the past, but the pride too. I just bought a small 2 acre Homestead and although I can't physically do what you are capable of, my children and grandchildren will get a taste of how wonderful my world was as a child. Hopefully it will ignite a fire for self sufficiency and a respect for the Earth they don't have access to in todays world. You are doing so much, for so many! Keep it up!

That was a beautiful video Bri. The opening scenes feeding the many farm pets was very lovely and artistically done. I think this video is one of my favorites because of its peacefulness and depiction of your sweet home life. Plus I enjoyed the visit to the thrift store with your family. Your family is very precious! Seeing the children helping with chores and the baby in diapers sweeping made me tear up. Thank you for sharing your day with us.
LOL! I remember as a child having saved up to buy my dad MY favorite brand of after shave (definitely not his) and I dropped it handing it to him and it broke, with me in floods of tears and him telling me that he would NEVER change his pyjamas so that he could always remember my "wonderful" gift... I miss my dad so much and I have so many things to thank him for. Enjoy your families whilst you can! Much love :)

My kids are both in their 40's now and I have 7 grandchildren ranging in age from 7 to 21. I also had my first great granddaughter, Lily this September. What I wanted to say is that I wish I would have had the opportunity to raise my children the way you and Art raise yours. Both Biblical and homeschooling. I love watching your family, your children are adorable by the way, and the beginning of your day by feeding your farm animals and your children. When I was younger Bri I could have handled the work on a farm and I still love growing veggies and fruit trees it's just a little more difficult because of my back problems. I'm praying for your family and that you might continue to live the simpler life and stay as far away as possible from the cities. Also Happy Birthday Art!!

How beautiful that they are the age they can choose gifts for dad and each other. My younger boys are still buying me Matchbox cars for an anniversary present. I love it. I've got their name written on the packets and they are lined up on the dressing table. Hand made cards are piling up as are unusually crafted items. I melt for homemade. You have done so well to get them out the door and shopping. Parenting / negotiating with mini humans is the hardest job I've ever done but I wouldn't swap it for anything. Xxoo

I am so thankful that God led me to your UA-cam channel. I fully understand your business as at the age of 70 I recently inherited 8 grands to raise. Ages 7 mos, 4,5,9,19,14,16 and 17. Hey Bri! Have you tried adding a scoop of peanut butter (or any nut butter) to your oatmeal? The combination of oats and nuts creates a complete protein for our body to digest. I also find it keeps me full for much longer!

we have four kids and i love that they are learning how to help us on our homestead. what i love most is that we are doing videos on them helping and we can look back on them when they are older.
