I don't care how many times I watch these guys do performances it's always amazing. If you've never had to do any type of drill with a weapon you have no idea how difficult what they are doing really is. The dedication, time and talent it takes to be that controlled is very impressive. Wearing cloth gloves doesn't make it any easier, you lose that sense of touch against the weapon.
I was in a drill platoon in my youth and it fills my heart with joy to watch these men. Just such a pity the camera work was so shoddy and did not highlight the intricacy and difficulty of many of the moves. Such amazing memories.

MrFloppy19 ...EVERY halftime show!
O ra !
As an ex british squaddie, I have most resect and admiration for a flawless exhibition of drill. This Marines are just so young and to master this drill absolutely brilliant. Most respect to all of you. 🎖
Wow. That's discipline + talent.
Absolutely stunning machine-like precision that shows just what humans can be capable of with dedication.
God Bless the men and women of the United States Marine Corp!!! Highly professional, highly skilled, THANKYOU!
North Koreans do it much, much better … and why throw old rifles in the air? Military is not circus and even less acrobatics. Why does this anyone make PROUD? This stupid childish and in fact very easy to perform show dishonours the military (if there is any honour left after the Irak crimes? Forgot My Lai, Abou Garib, water boarding to name just these, not to forget the blind, criminal support of clown state Israel?
@@pierreamiguet4854 Iraq started it we finished it. ISIS came to OUR countey they hurt OUR people so we brought he fight to their home land.
And as far as America commiting war crimes what about the North Vietnamese during vietnam or to this day North Korea?
PERFECT " THE SOUND OF SILENCE " GOD BLESSINGS THANK YOU FOR SHARING.
My generation is more worried about retweets and hashtags rather then serving, so sad.
Well said!

Not true our generation didn’t need a draft we chose to serve. Current navy

These guys are awesome! That's a halftime show I would not tire of.
As much is it was an honor to be at 8th and I, it's the best and worse place a Marine can be stationed. 110% perfection takes hours of work, sometimes 16 hours straight a day, and the fear of messing up just one small time in the slightest fashion is the highest stress in all to endure. If you think you have a general idea if what it takes to be on this team, multiply it by 10. In this platoon, 100% perfection is slacking.
So imagine your average mortarman etc. The smallest screw up is the difference between killing your enemy and killing your friends.
Given a choice, I would've taken 8th & I any day, it beats dodging bullets & eating sand while inside the sandbox....Semper Fi
@@cowboyjoe5402 True that, but think about this, in order to do 8th and I or any type of embassy duty you must have a main MOS of 03 soooo, it's a double wammy of BS......but a very honorable position indeed!! SF bro
Only thing lower than a Marine is a Submarine.
@@kristyniederkorn1105 Hmm.........clarify as that sounded pretty rude.
As a current member of the US Air Force JROTC, watching these guys drill is a wonder and all the precise movements and discipline shown is a testament to true skill. I hope that I can get there one day, and proudly serve my country in the Air Force or Marines.
You'll get there! 👍🇺🇲 and my Best Wishes for you whenever you DO!
The next Super Bowl halftime should be performances of our Armed forces bands!!!...enough of these so called musicians.....show off our Military talent!!...
These men are paid to fight and win what do the band do. From the uk 🇬🇧
