The M16A1 grenadier barrel shroud (equip XM4 with a long barrel and then an M203, which anachronistically is an LMT M203 which wasn’t developed until the early 2000s) and a section of the barrel in between the front sight post will be missing. Also the attachment systems appear to be either weaver rails (which were pre 91 I think) or picatinny rails, which weren’t developed (I believe) until the mid 90s
There are also mistakes on the following guns: 9mm PM: one of the barrels is supposed to be the suppressed barrel from MW2019 and it looks very weird without the suppressor. LR 7.62: They got the 7.62 right, but it's the *PGM Ultima Ratio* that is chambered in 7.62, not its sibling the *Hecatè II* which is the default design they went for, the Hecatè II is chambered in .50 BMG. Still better than whatever MW3 has been doing. Plus a few anachronisms are fine if it means some less-recognized weapons can get their moment in the spotlight. But still; Mp5... my boy.... tell me what they did to you... who did this?
I can already tell you guys, that some of these will not be real mistakes but creative liberties put in place to avoid lawsuits or paying royalties. HK's licensing or whatever doesn't come cheap.
definitely a huge let down from Cold War, whose weapons were already a letdown from MW2019 animations and sounds, but were still decently modelled and at least somewhat accurate to the time period of campaign and MP (1984-86) In BLOPS 6 we have weapons whose models IRL are somehow OLDER than the ones from Cold War (even when BLOPS 6 takes place 7 years after the story of CW) with attachments and accesories from the 2000-2010's era. CoD Black Ops series always have done anachronistic choices for the weapons and vehicles featured in their campaigns and MPs of the saga, looks like BLOPS 6 will just take this to another sweaty level, very likely, keeping the same cringy style of operator blueprints from Cold War and MW3
Tbf they can’t have the MP5 be accurately modeled since they don’t have the license for it. If you ask why ATVI don’t just buy the license. Well families are suing Daniel Defense because the Uvalde’s school shooter had used an AR-15 that he bought from them to commit the crime. Activision are also getting sued since apparently they taught the shooter how to operate an AR-15 since a firearm of said platform is feature in COD.
wonder if all the changes to the MP5 are a result of HK having argued in court that they own copyright for the "trade dress" of the MP5, I.E. its distinctive features and not just the name

I think at this point gun manufacturers should just file a lawsuit on the devs for bastardizing firearm designs...
Can’t wait to see what comes next
We train a lot with mp5's in real life with different variants and i was like 'this looks like an mp5 but it also really isn't' when i picked the c9.
Beta Ops 6
I had an off feeling the MP5 looked odd.
I've been waiting for this
surprised it was only 1:42
@@georgewashingtonsar-1527part 2 soon?
@@Randomly_Browsing yes. I'm just testing waters before doing a full length video.
In one of the trailers during Cod Next there's a pistol which has an inspect where they pull a slide release to drop a mag
Well, so much for seeing a proper or familiar gun design.
I don't understand why cod does this, maybe copyright reasons? But modern warfare had all the guns modeled correctly
Unrelated: I have never heard more of this song, it is actually very nice.
I miss the times where game put irl guns without changing name or changing entirely just for sake of license
Oh god we’re starting early
Wanna know something screwy?
You can pretty much replicate an even more cursed version of this in a Fallout 4 mod called Wacky Weapons.
Somehow they managed to make the car15 as good as it couldve been done but then completely ruined the mp5 for some unknown reason
Goodness, Activision really hate MP5 paddle mag release that much huh.
The MP5 is mostly probably the the worst model I have seen so far. It looks like a whole different weapon itself.
Damn you licensing issues!!!
Still better than whatever MW3 has been doing. Plus a few anachronisms are fine if it means some less-recognized weapons can get their moment in the spotlight.
But still; Mp5... my boy.... tell me what they did to you... who did this?
Partially blame H&K for the trade dress issue with the MP5. Which basically means that the very silhouette of the MP5 is within H&K's copyright
How'd they get past in cold war though because something should have happened between cold war and now that is stopping them from modeling the MP5?
@@munanchoincActivision sure asf don’t want to buy license rn after Uvalde lmfao.
@@moizv4771Well considering they’re getting sued rn by Uvalde’s families because an AR-15 is featured in COD. Yeah…
They're going downhill if they're doing this to avoid trademark
I'm fine with prototypes and such being in the game if it means we get more variety. But Jesus that MP5...
Can they please just stop being weird with the MP5, we had it good in Cold War and 2019 pls stop😭
I’m surprised you didn’t show the usp with the 1911 slide
It can't be for artistic purposes because it doesn't look good on account that we know what the guns are SUPPOSED to look like.
I believe this is to get away with using these guns and not getting copyrighted
I was listening to main theme and then this dropped😂
we will never have a normal MP5 after MW2019....
The worst part is you can MOSTlY do this in real life with your guns.
The BO6 MP5 looks like a detailed version of an XCOM gun
I can already tell you guys, that some of these will not be real mistakes but creative liberties put in place to avoid lawsuits or paying royalties. HK's licensing or whatever doesn't come cheap.
definitely a huge let down from Cold War, whose weapons were already a letdown from MW2019 animations and sounds, but were still decently modelled and at least somewhat accurate to the time period of campaign and MP (1984-86)
In BLOPS 6 we have weapons whose models IRL are somehow OLDER than the ones from Cold War (even when BLOPS 6 takes place 7 years after the story of CW) with attachments and accesories from the 2000-2010's era.
CoD Black Ops series always have done anachronistic choices for the weapons and vehicles featured in their campaigns and MPs of the saga, looks like BLOPS 6 will just take this to another sweaty level, very likely, keeping the same cringy style of operator blueprints from Cold War and MW3
@@predatorjunglehunter7332 older weapons wouldn't be anachronistic, rather outdated for the settings
@@Randomly_Browsing Yes, the weapons in Black Ops 6 aren't anachronistic, but some attachments are
Damn what’s this groovy music from?
i think the most reasonable explanation for the “c9” is because of california gun laws but idk
The music makes this vid
The XM4 uses a castle nut, locking ring would've been better for it.
Tbf they can’t have the MP5 be accurately modeled since they don’t have the license for it. If you ask why ATVI don’t just buy the license. Well families are suing Daniel Defense because the Uvalde’s school shooter had used an AR-15 that he bought from them to commit the crime. Activision are also getting sued since apparently they taught the shooter how to operate an AR-15 since a firearm of said platform is feature in COD.
nice 22 caliber mp5 in the thumbnail
wonder if all the changes to the MP5 are a result of HK having argued in court that they own copyright for the "trade dress" of the MP5, I.E. its distinctive features and not just the name
Idk if this video is genuine criticism, but as somebody who has a guns license, hunted as a kid, and plays tons of fps games; to me video game guns are video game guns, never once thought about it before...
Pretty sure there’s a law in California or something that doesn’t allow companies to make a 1:1 replica of real world firearms in game. That’s why a lot of these guns look like shit.
Just remember, they dont have the license.
If I squint really hard, it almost doesn't make me sick to look at the C9. Shit, the vaseline over my eyes shifted, I just puked.
Ah yes, the time-traveling subfranchise of CoD
COD players be all of sudden thinking they gun experts after watch one video like this I swear 😭
It seems that these are mostly homemade body kits for weapons, which may be logical
They want the game to look advanced even though it isn’t
Love the Kendrick Lamar scream
I may get this cod if its actually half decent, which it probably wont be but you never know
You forgot to talk about the "Swat 5.56"
That thing is just a semi-auto, STANAG compatible SIG 550 series rifle. Butchered by nature. The 89 import ban and its consequences...
