- A short video breaking down the fuel economy numbers I collected with my Suzuki Cappuccino over a 5 month period in Japan. I did miss a couple of fill-up's accidently but most of them are in there. Is the Suzuki Cappuccino the most fuel-efficient Japanese sports car of all time!? Maybe.

Thanks for watching :D - Авто та транспорт
When I did my 3500 km trip in Europe getting my Cappuccino to home, it did around 5,6L/100km on faster highways (at around 120-130 km/h) and around 4,8 on 90 km/h highways.
That's some great figures! As stated I only ever drove my car for fun. I suspect under "normal conditions" That I would be in the low 6's or high 5's. Good to see some other Cappuccino number though, not many people have released stats on them!
Nice vid! Interested to see what other cars you have lined up for your future fuel economy videos 🧐
Getting around 30mpg in my Miata, it's just as fun to drive, and saves me a lot. I'm looking forward to importing a Sambar and getting around that while also risking my life on the road.
Powerful and fast cars do not necessarily equal fun. On the contrary, slow and weak cars do not mean it is not fun! I have experienced both and I can confidently say the Cappuccino is as fun (maybe more) than my Supra. It is a different fun though. I think a lot of people that have never experienced small underpowered cars do not know what they are missing! Bonus part is great fuel economy!
~7.6 to the hundred is pretty good given it was driven, not 'just operated'
I commute with a 1.4l golf and see around 6.7 on average, but that's without trying to be efficient, my old 3.8l commodore would see 13.6l/100 under similar trips.
Highway journeys make a difference though, took a 747km round trip to a rural town, managed about 5.2l/100, still had 200km in the tank after arriving home, AC on the whole way too. It spooks me the kind of numbers cruiser / patrol v8 drivers boast about, those things are crazy thirsty even down the highway.
Yeah tbh it would be safe to say if I took the racing numbers out it would be in the mid-high 6s. My old commodores always got well above 10. I cant believe people daily cars that get like 14+...
Seems like the Cappuccino is about the same fuel economy wise as my Daihatsu Copen, which averages around 13km/L as well
In my results that I got that sounds about right. Although I suspect If I drove the car "normally" I should have got 16-20km/L. I am keen to do more tests when I get it in Australia one day!
For recreational driving those number are fairly good, not far off my 1996 1 litre Charade and I drive that from southern suburbs to Wingfield and back each day.
I love an old Charade
@@JayDM2311 this is the younger of my two Daihatsu cars
Cool 😎
