Yeah things are slowly getting Greener now. Its hard trying to add saturation to the videos without ruining it. It is still something I am far from mastering. This one is still a little greyer than I would like.
@@DavesWalks - Yeah, color correction is such a tricky thing to get right. I like the videos you put out. They do a great job of showcasing the countryside and towns. You have inspiring content man. Well done all year round.
Thanks for this type of video Dave. It gives a good larger scale overview of this beautiful area, rather than walking alone. It is redolent with long term history and heritage. We have only about 200 years of European type history. It highlights too, how close together towns and villages are. Here in Oz they are more typically 50 - 60 KM apart. Love the stone buildings and walls in this part of the world. It's facinating to see all the bare deciduous trees too. It allows a longer view to what lies beyond and a more open feel to the landscape. Most of our trees in Oz are evergreen.
Glad you enjoyed it Joe. I planned this route and knew it would be a great representation of England's countryside and old villages and rolling green hills! One of my favourites this drive! 😊
i honestly never thought i’d like the drives as much as the walks, but i do! so much to see! and with a local radio station playing in the background, it’s as close to being there as you can get! right, i’m off to chose a sheffield radio station. thanks, dave. :)
This is one of my favourite drives I've done, captures the UK's countryside so well. Small old villages, rolling green hills. Was a lovely drive to film! 😊
Hey Dave. Nicce drive, I should visit the english countryside someday with my friends and have a pint. I've been to London with them, many years ago, which was quite fun but I imagine I would like the countryside more.
Thank you for posting this, Dave. Glad to see the flowers coming back. Btw, Did you change the setting of your camera? I think the green is less green than your previous videos, also the red telephone box in 1:11 is rather tangerine. Maybe it's just my eyes, though. :D
Haven't changed the settings, it's just until Spring really sets in, things really are quite grey and unsaturated. I do my best to add in as much colour as possible when editing. But usually what works in one part of the video, ends up looking funky on another part. So I have to be careful not to over do it. That said, it could well be that the phone box is tangerine as the red does fade if it is not regularly repainted.
Really liked this installment of what I like to call, "Drives With Dave". Good to see the greenery coming out.
Lol yeah

I would certainly recommend it!
Ahh! so relaxing . Thanks Dave for sharing this :)
EDIT: The timing of the train @ 25:20 was brilliant!!
Ha ha . Serendipity on a stick. Good one Dave. Of course, you planned it down to a tee.😁
It was tricky to time the drive with the trains. Took a few failed attempts, but the effort paid off! I am glad I endeavoured 😊
Here's a fun you can do with these type of videos then the speed setting up to the highest level and put on a VR head set on 😃😃😃😃😃😃
