As an American convinced I was born in the wrong country, I watch your videos to transport myself to a new place. One of these days I'll make it over there, but for now it's just a dream. Thanks Dave.
Qu est ce que tu aimes pas aux Etats Unis pourtant c est un pays très intéressant pour s y installer mais les américains n ont qu une seule semaine de vacances payée c est pas beaucoup
I have to admit while watching this I had a slight bit of anxiety as you were going down those narrow country roads, but when those views opened up .. breathtaking. Brought back a lot of memories. Thanks Dave.
With these trips I’d like to ‘stop and explore’ occasionally. Trouble is, that’d make the videos about 12 hours long. ‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder’, which is why I find these journeys exceptional. 🐨🇦🇺
@@DavesWalks What I like most in your country are these majestic oaks. They are so huge that they can hide an entire house in their shade! Our pines, cypresses and olives cannot compare with them...🌳🌳🌳
I live in Seascale, so couldn't miss this! Next time you're over in West Cumbria, try the Cold Fell Road. Very scenic, with wonderful distant views on a clear day. Two pieces of trivia: On your drive through Cleator you passed the Grove Court Hotel on the left. It's only a year or so since you made the journey, but its already gone. Demolished, with a new estate built in its place. And - at 50:29, you drove past one of my best friends :)
Nice vid apart from some of the driving; No offence intended but it's abysmal. -like @39.10, when you met the oncoming vehicle, (you seem to think you have automatic priority over other vehicles) and despite him clearly giving way to you and trying to reverse out of your way, you proceeded to push forward (very distracting and pressurises the other driver!) as he was trying to back onto a grassy verge...not all vehicles have 4 wheel drive! Your driving has an aggressive style. Instead of patiently waiting for him, you virtually bullied him off the road in a very intimidating and discourteous way showing no consideration for the other driver whatsoever. This would earn you a fail in a driving test, & you repeated this behaviour when encountering other vehicles later. Why did you overtake the cyclists when you were about to turn off the road? You need some driver training to improve your etiquette behind the wheel...otherwise you might end up on Ashley Neal's channel?
Interesting, and thank you for the feedback, it is fair and welcomed. No offence is taken, and now watching it back with your comments in mind I am happy you are raising a very valid point. Whilst I have veered slightly away from doing driving content, I hope my more recent videos show that I am far more relaxed and courteous driver than I am for some reason in this video. I endeavour to be the best driver I can be and am receptive and want to learn when it is pointed out that I have not been the best driver.
