Great video. I’m on my lunch break at work just binge watching the episodes I’ve missed of your show, haha! This game looks like a lot of fun and I hope to get a chance to try it out soon. :)
Excellent tutorial, Rodney. Thank you! We've been enjoying this little game. We've found the "First Player" card to be unnecessary and just leave it in the box.
Thank you very much for the explanation! I have the rules in French as I'm French myself and didn't got to try the game yet, your video was super useful for me to understand but also to explain to my German gaming partners at the same time!
Hey Chris, I shot this long enough ago, that I don't remember the rules off the top of my head, but if I don't say that you start playing in counter-clockwise order, then you don't. Is there a rule that you read that made you think the turns start going in reverse?
Hello, we like that game and play it a lot 2 players, but we aren't sure about the auctions. Can we bid as many times as we want? Because in that case, the one can lose all of his coins in only 2-3 bids.
Hey there, I'm always happy to try to help with rules questions, but if the answer is provided in the video, than I have to direct you there. You'll find an index in the description to help you find the section you might be looking for.
Does it say in the rules you remove cards that can't be used by any player? Maybe that got lost in the dutch translation.... We had a lot of useless cards in the offer later in the game, but couldn't find in the rules that we should remove them :) My girlfriend liked it, cause it creates a chance that someone misses a card he/she can use, so someone else can try to acquire it in the next bidding round :)
My videos follow the English rules, and I have them checked by the publisher before release, so to the best of my ability, I am confident in the way I present the information. Cheers!
I haven't played the board game version, but I also avoid reviewing on this channel so I wouldn't be able to help there. You might find some comparisons over on BoardGameGeek though!
Great job! Looks like a light hearted game with enough strategy to make it interesting, and luck to make it potentially tougher!
Thanks for checking out the video!

This is so nice to hear Hélène - I am glad it was helpful! I hope you had fun playing :)
Great video, love your explanation and examples. I recently received this game and am planning on playing it this weekend. Perfect timing!
Hope you have a great time with it!
Great video. Very helpful!
Thanks for the kind words!
Thankyou for the tutorial! You are the best!😊
Thank you kindly!
After the winner of the auction gives the first player card to the player on his left, the game continues counter clockwise, right?

Can you bid on an auction if you can't take any of the cards? Win an auction, take 0 cards, and then discard a card?
The rules don't rule it out, so I'd say that you can.

@@WatchItPlayed Nice, thanks. I will download the English somwhere and then make a comparison)) Good luck!
@@WatchItPlayed found it! :)
Love a Rodney tutorial. So long rulebook, won’t be needing you 🙂
Thanks Dean - glad you found this one helpful!
Watch It Played Always do!
How does this compare to the 4 player Lost Cities The Board Game? I love the original 2 player version, but I want the best 2-4 player version.
I haven't played the board game version, but I also avoid reviewing on this channel so I wouldn't be able to help there. You might find some comparisons over on BoardGameGeek though!
@@WatchItPlayed I should've known you wouldn't give a review :) There isn't enough information on BGG yet, unfortunately. Thanks for the fast reply!
You know me well :)
Doesn't look the same I have that game. Or doesn't play the same
Would this game be difficult to play with just two players?
I cant' really rate what the experience would be like for you (easy/difficult), but my first games of it were with 2 players.
can lost cities rival cards be played like its original duel mode, without its center color board?
I've never tried, and I shot this long enough ago, I don't recall if it has the necessary components.
@@WatchItPlayed yeah I've noticed this vid was 4years ago, and here I am just starting in this hobby, thanks anyway to all your videos. kudos
@@apolloguillem9358 Welcome to the hobby!
Does the game include a score pad?
No score pad, but the scores are simpler to calculate than classic lost cities because you only get points from footprints
Thanks for the assist from cardflopper!
What if the bider have lets say 15 Gold each ? Who wins ?
I shot this long enough ago, I'm not sure what you're referring to. Do you have a time stamp for the section of the video you are referring to?
