Well done! Branching out onto the mainland, and the wine country of Victoria, no less. Amazing views (I particularly loved Mt. Everest at 0:05!) all around this tiny house, which truly looks like what a clueless American would imagine a bush country home to look like. The whole structure, both inside and out, creates an amazing sense of place. No attention to detail has been spared. Rustic, yet elegant wood paneling and furnishings with charming elements throughout - and a very well-appointed kitchen for such a tiny home. However, that copper-pot sink in the bathroom is an achievement of brilliance.
The porthole windows are a picturesque touch, especially since they provide views of the stunning surrounding landscape: the frame at 6:25 could truly be a picture postcard! How wonderful that the hosts provide the makings of a full Australian Breakfast (yes, that means wine is included), along with a charming welcome note. And any place which provides pairs of bespoke brand socks must be owned by the most amazing people. Oh, and thank you for the translation on the workings of the roll-out sleeping platform. One quick question: does the roll-out sleeping platform always come complete with a bearded, barefoot studpuppy…? Nonetheless, providing a sweeping panoramic view during the day in addition to its titular use at night makes this a wonderfully unique feature. Shout out: The Man From Snowy River! Such an enjoyable movie, which I believe was responsible for sparking America’s love affair with Australia, or at least forcing your average geography-ignorant American to find Australia on the map. But, I digress. Woodfire sauna and not one, but two soaking tubs - I know you must have been in your element. And that campfire: great for cooking and for enjoying a glass or two of one’s preferred beverage. Another enjoyable video with excellent production values - each one a step towards great things. Time, methinks, for a well-deserved pat on the back, good sir. This remote setting sounds the perfect spot for the Stella the Stargazer location. Truly a “tiny home with a big heart.” Final note: a good man is hard to find, especially one who does the dishes…
Simply beautiful. I’m building an Aussie tin shed on my property in rural Portugal to remind me of my origins. At first the engineer was horrified, but now he’s on board. I just wish I could get a water tank. Great video.
I've seen Stella the Stargazer before, but it's nice to see her in more detail. I think this is probably my very favourite video so far Ben, and I'm more than a little jealous, one again 🥰
We're all of us jealous of our Ben, living the exciting life of travel and adventure in such remote locations in these wonderful homes in picturesque settings.
Stella sure is a special place! I was only just looking up Tiny home designs this week and Ample had there beautiful buildings including Stella. Then low and behold your video comes up. Loving your videos Ben, they are a real treat. All the best.
Beautifully shot video Benny. Especially for a video that almost wasn't made. I can see why you two lovely boys were keen to stay at this place. It's also nice to see you two getting around in a zero tailpipe emissions vehicle. 😊
The exact reason our perfectionist Ben took two hours to get the absolute best drive-by footage. I kid, I kid - we all know it was more like three hours...
I live in 600 sqft/55.75 m2. The older I get the less indoor space needed. I could down size for a nice little place like that. Great review, hope they are doomed out.
High praise indeed from a forest dweller. Nonetheless, even a suburbanite sellout such as myself can appreciate the beauty of this amazing home in such a picturesque setting.
Yes, but there are two versions of the language: English English and American English (which is the better version, because everything American is the best [this is sarcasm , by the way]). What do you call someone who speaks three languages? Trilingual; What do you call someone who speaks two languages? Bilingual; and what do you call someone who speaks only one language? American. I'd like to think we Americans can laugh at ourselves, though this is not often the case. And some of us relish our Old World/Central European roots: my maternal grandparents are from Zsámbék, just outside Budapest, Hungary, and my family has always been very proud of our heritage. Nonetheless, thank you for your honest observation.
Can I say that Stella is brilliant but if you want to do the same thing in Victoria and you dont happen to be the Visit Victoria government Department you will not be allowed to do so. Stella started her life at Green Gables Winery in the Wellington Shire. Under the Victorian State Planning Scheme Rural land zone where they placed her it is prohibited to place her there as visitor accomodation. They moved her to the Grampians and then to the Shipwreck coast near port campbell. Each time they breached the planning scheme but because they were the state government they thumbed their nose at the rules that every other tiny house in victoria has to deal with. They play a game that a tiny house on wheels is a vehicle and is not subject to planning laws. Ask the Yarra Ranges shire about why they are requiring tiny houses to have building permits when they know that no building surveyor can issue a building permit as there are no approved standards for a tiny home. The State Government recognises a Tiny Home with a building permit. But no one understands how to build one in the absence of standards. I totally support the concept of Stella as an environmentally friendly accomodation choice. But other than favouring their own projects, the rest of us are left at the mercy of capricious Local Goverments who impose different standards on accomodation providers. On different properties I have a 35m2 AirBNB apartment (Southbank) that is not suited for permanent accomodation but is being taxed out of existence by this corrupt government and a tiny house on our commercial property that hopefully will be ready for rental by christmas. We have plans for two more small size apartments but they wont be tiny homes as the State Government wont get its act together to allow tiny homes to legally exist. If Tiny Home owners need assistance in Victoria please contact me through ATHA web site (Australian Tiny House Association) Paul Kenna Law -State Lead. We would love to get the same privileges that Visit Victoria - govt dept - gets running these tourism promotions.
Very cute. However, you sit under one of those metal overhangs in summer, then talk to me about how rustic your sunstroke feels, especially considering you sat "in the shade" all day. I've dried fruit and veg on a small veranda with a metal roof; the goods hardly got any direct sun. As long as "Stella" is airconditioned, or at least well insulated inside, it would be great.
Nice video, though I think it would get more views if you showed yourself living more, rather than talking about how you stayed in it. People also love to hear noises too.
Lovely house alright 👍🏼 Beginning is a bit like a car ad EDIT// oh, the whole thing kind of is an ad. (Thats okay, but raving about the bath salts is a bit cringeworthy.)
Like an ad, as a film maker, that's a big compliment, thank you! Glad you liked the house 😊. As an outdoor bath connoisseur, I take my bath bombs very seriously-nothing cringeworthy about a top-notch soak! Thanks for watching.
Love it...but the repurposed custom orb claddings and roof are certainly not 'aluminium' ... The rust alone belies that description...and an outside unprotected shower is not something anyone would enjoy...even in summer...the wind or even a breeze is exquisite torture.

Absolutely amazing Ben! The port holes, the stargazers bed, the shear Aussie-ness in all her, tiny yet big splendour. Conveyed beautifully.
Remember when Bono sang that he ‘still haven’t what I’m looking for’
I think I have. Magnificent.
Love the rustic look, inside and out. Great video Ben.
Glad you enjoyed it my friend! Thanks for the support.
Amazing concept of house. So beautiful area. Decoration and some details are just so inspiring.
Very good. Enjoyed the relaxed, unrushed commentary.
I think you have the right of it: the commentary is always an excellent feature of each video, making them that much more enjoyable to watch.

Instantly thought “Man from Snowy River” aesthetic! Love it!
Cheers from 🇨🇦
Very nice setup , just don't fall out of bed when its rolled out !!!!
Gorgeous! I'm going to build some of these on my bush/creek property! 🤩
What a dream come true🌷
As always a great video, love the rustic vibe.

Now all you need are some trees and a garden to soften it a bit provide shade and attract some birds and other wildlife.

Hey, Ben, you have to be one of the sweetest men on the face of the earth! Well done, my good man!
Lovely video, as always. Ah... I want an Ample! :)
Thank you Mr Sweeney! Little Fella's all round I say.
Love rustic homes.
Lovely video and what an amazing tiny house - thank you!
Beautifully shot mate! Keep it up !
Cheers my friend, glad you enjoyed it!
Gorgeous country!

That looks amazing love it Ben. Great video.
Thanks for the ample link!
magical
This is beautiful, and I would love to see the insides of it, especially how the water works (including where it's from if this is off-grid).
Aluminium tin. This guy knows his stuff.
Very good until a snake decides to join you in bed.... .I do like tiny houses, this one is very unique.😄😄😄😄😄😄
so beautiful man
I live off-grid in a forest but this would be my 2nd choice.
High praise indeed from a forest dweller. Nonetheless, even a suburbanite sellout such as myself can appreciate the beauty of this amazing home in such a picturesque setting.
I'm Central European, I understand boot-it was funny to hear the explanation for Americans, it's usually the only language they speak : )

Rusty Aluminium Tin, super rare!! 😂
Yea should have used the abundance of galvanised iron we have

Awesome
Beautiful little house! But there must be some Australian super spider lingering in a corner to powerslam you...😂😂😂
And the mozzies ?
I know, right! Although it's hard to quietly linger when the spider is the size of a Fiat!

Hi Ben love love your videos do you mind sharing camera set up , nice shots there
It’s lovely… but is it insulated?
Ah wonderfull the heat in summer the flies the mosquitoes with icy cold in winter.
What's stopping bugs coming at you though, when you're in bed at night with outdoor exposure??
It has sonic repellant technology at the base of the bed. We had 0 issues
...and what about dingos?
@@j.bjornson4148😂
@@j.bjornson4148 And the kangaroos, and the snakes, and the velociraptors...is there no place safe on this island?!
Aluminium tin 😂
Lot's of snakes under that tin. It keeps them warm.
why don't u grow any flower a round your house
