Yup it was allllmost a nugget, but i sure ain't complaining! The place is awesome, basically the whole west bank is 30ft+ of handstacked tailings from the old timers. And the gold is chunky!
@SECRETCREEKPROSPECTING1776 hey brother! I’m doing good, had a heck of a tough summer but one of the best at the same time. It’s been so much work I barely had time to eat ! I’m finally editing the next video for my channel and so excited to get back to uploading. Hope you had an amazing season and got out to the creek lots.
Thanks bud! That creek is really tough to prospect (better to dredge i think) but the gold is really chunky when you find it. I'll have to take you up there sometime
Thanks bud, it was an awesome day, that creek is so hit and miss. I'm sure i told ya, I bragged about it to anyone who'd listen haha. This was way back in November. I can't remember why you couldn't come that weekend though, i went back the next day solo and didn't find squat.
Very nice gold you really raked the gold in there from that crevice you did the same thing I would do I’d work it until there’s no more daylight that’s called gold fever nice job looks like a nice creek but it takes patience and he definitely had that payoff take care great video out for now
It sure is, guys have gotten some multiple gram chunkers out've that creek this year. It's tough to prospect though, no black sand to dial in the gold location
Geezers I would be happy with one of those or heck anything I could actually touch lol great job man I'm obviously not doing things right unfortunately.
Very nice that area has always been known for match head size gold. At less it was when I was living in the area. All I got to look forward to is all this fly poop just to the west of ya it all adds up I guess 😁
Yeah the gold in that creek is nice and chunky! Hard to find though, no blacksand there to dial in the dropout zones. I mostly get flower gold myself, just need to find a ton of it haha
Thanks bud, I'm sure you recognize the creek then! I had to move to Salem for work and don't get down there too often anymore. I'd be down to meet at a Republic event sometime
I'm still exploring the claims I've been a member for about a week I've been to the lee one found a little bit and I'm going Saturday to a different one closer to home,I definitely will be going to any events they have to meet some new people who enjoy prospecting as much as I do
Notice at 3 min what's also growing with that small tree on the spot where he finds that chunky gold. Thats not a coincidence in my opinion. Certain ferns will selectively grow where high mineralization (especially arsenopyrite) occurs in order to detoxify the biology around it. So I would pay close attention to where small trees & ferns are growing along creeks as a possible signs. There is also good empirical evidence to suggest that nano/micron gold is concentrated by bacteria & fungi at the roots of plants & trees, which explains the presence of chunkier gold when you pan out these areas. So it’s not just crevices, it’s biology too! ua-cam.com/users/shortsImnWg3Dr24g?si=rTRjtrfwkOkytbfR
Bad ass . I am a new disabled minor but I am a hard worker and love adventure . I have traveled all over Oregon practicing I have found a few pickers 1/4 to a half gram on the regular in southern or at a few places . It's so fun . I know a couple things I need help with a second person egual split . I would be grateful if you have time .thankyou

@insidebendprospecting you're in salem!? Dude I've lived in the NE area for about 10 years. I've just gotten into gold panning it would be amazing to do a trip/ day trip with you. I'm dying to learn more. Did my first weekend out panning passed Silverton along the creek. Found nothing but fines... been trying to youtube if there's any chunky gold near this area at all. And found your channel over the weekend

Yup it was allllmost a nugget, but i sure ain't complaining! The place is awesome, basically the whole west bank is 30ft+ of handstacked tailings from the old timers. And the gold is chunky!

Thanks Holly, yup you are right that's a good place to check for gold!
That gold is CHUNKY! Seems like most of the gold there is thicker, I didn't see much fines. That's a sweet spot you got there!
It sure is, guys have gotten some multiple gram chunkers out've that creek this year. It's tough to prospect though, no black sand to dial in the gold location

Very nice bro if you ever want a prospecting buddy I'm in south Oregon and a member of republic mining
Thanks bud, I'm sure you recognize the creek then! I had to move to Salem for work and don't get down there too often anymore. I'd be down to meet at a Republic event sometime

I think you’ve done the hard work, now it’s time to reap the benefits. You will visit that spot many more times.
Thanks Rusty, yes i think i'd been to that creek a few times without finding much, nice to get some good gold
