At this point I think the automotive lifestyle aspect of your channel is just a bonus. We're pretty much invested in you . If you're thinking of doing tech videos I think you should just keep uploading them to this channel. We like pretty much everything you put out. Hell you could dedicate an entire video to Ava and we'd still enjoy it. Point is the channel is yours and we're here for you and what you have to offer. A lot of people look up to you now and I can honestly say I'm one of them. You keep doing you and we'll support you through thick and thin. Also if you could bring out some fuel force hoodies that'd be great. I mean I live in the most humid part of Texas but still, fingers crossed 🤞

I honestly didn’t expect this when I started making videos, just wanted to have fun with cars and a camera. Part of me is in shock and the other part wants to tell you not to look up to me lol. I’m just a super opinionated dude that likes cars, but regardless I can’t thank you guys enough for all the support!

Joe Knows Best dude it's 2018, everyone is super opinionated lol. When I say I look up to you it's more in a way of a reminder not to slack off and be grateful I'm not working a register at Target. I mean I'm a draftsman working for an award winning designer and looking to start my own firm after getting enough experience and connections. Plus I do Photography on the side, mainly automotive, and I'm hoping to make that a second career someday. Your videos, rants included, just help stay on track and remind me that it's only gonna get better.

Great comment Jonathan Garcia! To add more, this was also a great and enjoyable rant considering I'm in this age group and have been going through some of the same struggles. I'd certainly enjoy more vids like this and I don't think it needs its own channel, Joe.

Hey Joe! You are my favorite UA-camr by far. I’m a software developer turned entrepreneur running my own dev studio and an avid Porsche fan! You make the best videos and I think you should make more Tech related videos. It’s true that everybody’s path to being in this industry is very different but I think a lot of us love your channel because we are like-minded. Your “rants” tend to be very honest and help to weed out the true followers to your channel. Keep it up man.

The ending was great😂 These kinda of videos are what originally drove me to your channel. As far as direction; there’s a million car channels, a million product reviews, a million coding tutorials. I think what separates you is your success in freelancing. That’s something that a lot of people touch on but never fully elaborate on how to be successful at it. I would enjoy practical & entrepreneurial content. The life style is the goal but you’ve got to fall in love with the gritty side to get there.

A lot of honesty in these words. Many people want the results but don't want to do the work. Just because someone make something look easy doesn't mean that it is. It just means they are comfortable with the amount of work necessary to achieve the goal. Pop always told me nothing is easy and nothing is impossible live in the middle.

The life you portray on your channel, and I say "portray" because I don't know you personally, is what got me into learning how to code. I'm on month 5 out of 6 of my software engineering bootcamp and I'm loving every minute of it. hopefully in a few months or a year or so I'll be changing cars as if they were underwear like you do.
And yes, make a tech channel... okay, maybe not a separate channel altogether but dedicate a specific day of the week to tech.

Hey Joe, I am with you, on the whole, get up and go search for it. BUUUUUT, I think when people ask you about how to code, they want to hear more of your story with it, what courses you took, what was your first project, some fails, or maybe how it is to be a developer, the struggles.etc... I think they want to know more about the youtube behind the screen than the actual coding. just my opinion, keep up the great content brother. take it easy.

I'll be honest, I've been silently watching your videos here and there but I never committed to subscribing or interacting. I think it was because I didn't feel the need to appreciate much of what you were saying because the cars look good, so who gives a shit, right? This was the first video I watched that made me subscribe and I'm glad you posted it. Your thoughts are what people hate to hear, but it's tough love. I used to code silly things when I was 13/14, and I've since wondered why I've been ignoring my passion for technology. This reminded me. Thank you.

Very well put Joe!👍 I am a SDET and have done QA, Development, and DevOps. I’ve been working as a SDET for a little over a year. There is so many different aspects to software development in general. I think the key is to find what part you like and would be good at and learn what ever language is popular in your area. I work in SLC. Java and C are huge out here. Ruby is growing very quick as well. There are so many people looking for the easiest way but if you just put in the time and effort in something that you enjoy the money will come. Keep up the hard work my dude!👍👍

I’m no genius but the key to making money and your own happiness seems to be simple. Take something you’re good at...Take something you’re interested in. Mash them together and I’m sure you’ll either find a job that’s exactly that or... even better you’ll be the first to start something new that has the chance of becoming the next “big thing.” (Also great video as usual Joe. I started following you back when you were first introduced on Christians channel and now I keep up with your videos better than I do with him (a bit easier, I know). Even though I am not in software, I do see comparisons through what your saying. I am a mechanical engineer doing designs and see that if I want to get into a certain industry, I need to either direct my experiences towards that or just do something on the side until something happens from that. I think keeping all your content on one channel is your best bet. People follow you for what you offer, not just for cars.

And for those of you that don’t want to go to college, check out coding boot camps. Long story short, I went to a coding bootcamp this past fall. Best decision I made; not only do you learn full stack, but you make connections with other tech people.
After completing the bootcamp I went back to college to continue my CS degree and now I do part time freelancing while I’m in school. Issa win win 👏🏻

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a tech channel from you. Especially as someone trying to get into the field i find that having someone who does this for a living giving a better sense of direction towards the job field quite interesting and helpful. Having so many languages & seeing whats being used often is just the tip of the iceberg. Almost to the reference of here's my modded car but not diving deeper into why these mods were chosen is basically what i get from doing my research. So far i'm personally trying to get started with the basics of web dev following into JS/NodeJS/React & many more. However knowing exactly which ones are a must is a little tough considering everyone has their own favorite. Anyways, enough of my rant, Would love for you to go deeper into what you do, Keep up the great videos Joe!

Joe, I agree with Jonathan Garcia. I think at this point you have invested so much into this channel and built a following that will watch whatever content you bring to the channel because we're following you. I think you should evolve the channel to include segments for all the content you bring such as tech, coding, cars, fitness, how to's, coffee, etc (by the way I'm curious to know what are your favorite drinks from Starbucks?)
It's easier to follow you on one channel than multiple channels. Plus, you've already started the branding here on this channel. Don't fix it, if it ain't broken - "Joe Knows Best" - - you already picked the perfect title for the channel. By the way, as far as your merch goes - Fuel Force is cool! But, you should also consider looking at making "Joe Knows Best" merch, just a thought.
By the way - you always have the best music, you should tell us the songs you use in the description.
Thanks for enlightening us. Keep doing what you're doing.

I liked the video enough to see what else you had on your channel and having watched all your video and been a long time subscriber I haven’t been disappointed. I love your car content and your software dev content and just the lifestyle vids, so whether you do more videos like this on this channel or start another one for tech vids or decide not to do any more tech vids at all, I’ll still keep watching as I just enjoy your videos and I love your edits and backing music choices.

Post all types of videos to the Joe Knows Best channel man, your "best" isn't strictly limited to cars - it's quite obvious to me that you have many talents and passions outside automotives, so let that all show on your channel! No need to separate it out into individual channels with different topics, that's just adding unnecessary work for you to stay on top of and from what I can tell as a viewer, you're a pretty busy guy. Maybe playlists that contain videos specific to their topics would help out. But keep doing what you're doing, there's nobody out there that creates the quality of content and cares about cinematics on their channel like you (your videos are so good they really shouldn't be free to watch), keep it up. Looking forward to a fuel force meet up in the future. All the best.

This video is fabulous , Content wise. Everyone thinks the world should be equal but smarts doesn't always equal currency, creativity does.

I agree with Joe. I am not even a big fan of Joe I just check out his channel once in awhile when I watch Max. Everyone is different some people have rich parents some people are poor and some people just get stupid lucky so on and so on. The best advice is just start period.

I would really like to see a tech channel!
I started to learn to code at age of 16. Now I´m 18 and got a job at a tech company. Learning to code was one of my best decisions and I can recommend it to every one that is interested into computers!

Good video. A lot of fields around technology are booming, this and areas of IT (where I work) are huge. Security, Network Engineer, Cisco, Cloud, etc. Tons of opportunity, even if you don't care to develop, theres a list of opportunity in technology thats available.

Super fuckin glad you did this video dude. Nice and raw and said it the way it needed to be said. Interestingly enough we kinda had the same background in regards to not getting a decent computer til way later. Think I was 13 or 14 when we got our pc that wasn’t complete shit. Only difference is I didn’t get into programming until around 4 years ago. Haven’t looked back since. You hit the nail on the head with all your points, didn’t hear anything that hit a red flag or that I disagreed with. You make more content like this and I’m hella down to watch. Keep up the good work!

I bought one. Thanks, Joe! Hopefully it won't suck :-)
I pulled the trigger within 10 seconds of your description... why? Because I haven't seen you hype up anything that wasn't great. Plus we share the same car and you've complimented and critiqued the very same things I would have.
Let's hope the speaker is as good as the E63S!

Hey, I'd love to see tech channel of yours.
I'm iOS Developer for ~5years now and most of your words about software development makes me motivated and look into all of this from a different angle.

This was great advice for people looking to get into tech. Also you should either post more tech videos here or start another channel. Maybe to keep things more organized and fluid starting a new channel wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Great Video Joe. In my opinion keep all the tech videos and content you're producing on the same channel. This will keep things fresh and exciting, nothing wrong with having a blend of content you specialize in all under one brand! good luck my friend!

This was great. Keep it up! On the next video maybe mention how you started out (ie. how did you get a chance to even look at process optimization for your first few clients?).

Why not have a little bit of both? Both cars and tech. Like everyone else, I started watching because of the car content. But this tech stuff is super interesting and I would totally want you to make more in the future. Having both kinds of videos on your channel would make you stand out from every other car youtuber there is out there!

Totally agree - I think you should start a tech channel.
On a side note: starting school, or rather a curriculum, may be the most viable option for someone who is hoping to optimize the time they spend trying to obtain the knowledge and skill set for a tech job.
Sure you can do the research, but kind of like you said regarding these self help gurus, there’s a ton of crap out there.
Now if you have the time and not the money. Google away.
    Great video
