Probiotics make me feel a lot worse. What to do?
It does not matter which one I take (Sac. boulardii, Lactos or bifidos). I always get pain and bloating ... How to fix dysbiosis, if porbiotics are not tolerated?
    Any suggestions?

I've been using RenewLife 50 billion microbes, six strains. Pretty expensive. I don't know if it helps but it doesn't seem to hurt. I used to take it before breakfast but read it was better to take before bedtime. Is it safe to take twice a day given the high number of (50 billion) microbes? PS... I usually have 1 or sometimes 2 bowel movements a day, but the morning bowel movement is massive. I used to be concerned with slow motility but Dr. Bulsewicz says it's more about completion. Truthfully, when I'm kind of constipated I may go 3 or 4 times a day but the movements are small and weird.

Well, I'm 43, 6 feet & normally 150 pounds. I have been in a bad flair up now for the past 6 months. I've had chrons for 20 years, I've had 6 resection, and iv never had a flair up like this. I can't find anything that works. I'm too poor to buy a bunch of crap that at the end of the won't work. Just give up..

Hi, I'm also a crohns patient.
      Reduce on fibre intake
      Have enough rest.
Cut down on sugar or eliminate completely.
Eat protein: it helps me when I have flare up.
Take journals of foods you tolerate and those you don't.
For me,I don't take milk...I am lactose intolerant.
But if you can tolerate milk, take Greek Yoghurt instead.
Avoid brocolli,garlic,onions,apples...they can cause flare ups.
Properly cook your meals. Avoid uncooked meals.
      Avoid spices.
Avoid coffee, it makes me dehydrated
      Take lots of water
      Eat little at a time
Lastly, be happy even though it might be hard.
      I hope this helps😊

You want high CFU counts because most probiotics aren't acid resistant so the full let's say 5 Billion won't make it to your gut.

Who the hell is taking a dump 2 to 4 times a day…. Thinking this is normal? This is the dumbest thing the doc has said…. And I have mild Crones disease.

    • @m.htruth8880

Well a lot of doctors say you should use the bathroom 1-3 times a day, so I am sure many ppl think it's normal because it can be. It depends on other symptoms. I commonly hear ppl with chrons use the bathroom 3-20 times a day.
