I use it when in mountain areas where my cells don't get service. I was in Cumberland gap during a snowstorm years ago and needed assistance. Most truckers are great 😊
@@mysimplevanlife Thanks:) I repurposed it ( slightly modified) into my cargo van in February when I sold the Pacifica! I love the underside storage. Lynn ( AvianMariner)
Thank you for good wishes 😊 In future videos, I will be showing more options for the bed/table and comfort for myself as well as ALL my dogs for day-outings, I have 2 hounds and a whatzit (a lab minpin cross )as well as what to do to pass time with torrential rains while van-camping 🤪
ur a good lady. You take such good care of your pup. I can't bear to put mine in a crate. I feel guilty even though it does seem safer when driving. There up with me in the front.
Thank you. My 3 dogs love their crates! At home, they go into their crates, ( doors open ) on their own! "private" dens they go to when they want to 😊 Lynn (AvianMariner)
Thanks! I'm waiting for my Van to be returned to me ( the fuel line split! ) When I get it back, I am thinking of doing another, " setting up the Van" video. The shop has had it for a week and I miss being on the road! I did completely empty it before it got towed, so it's a good opportunity! Thanks for the sub! Lynn (AvianMariner)
This is a great idea. I love that you are able to use it for different things and can remove it easily for using outside your van. I already have my 2nd row seats removed and was debating on removing the 3rd row. Now you have given another option to think about. Thank you for sharing. 😊
You're welcome! I don't want to remove the seats because I am planning on upgrading the van in the future. After speaking with a dealer, he said to keep it in as much original condition as possible for resale. If I were planning to keep the van until it's paid for, I would take the seats ( row 2 ) out too! 😊
When I am at home, if I take all 3 of my dogs out for short rides, they wear full tactical harnesses that clip to seat belts ( made for dogs ). Their safety, and wellbeing is my priority! 😊 If you watch any of my, "camping" videos- I also carry 2 ex-pens (exercise pens ) in my van for use at camping areas! Thanks for commenting- Lynn ( AvianMariner )
You have some valuable storage space you're not utilising there. I had a similar bed frame and I put a ply bottom underneath and screwed it to the width wise braces under the bed. Then I hinged the top of the bed so I could lift it. I then had storage compartments under the top.
I had a frame (plywood) platform in my pickup truck. It was hinged and had gas struts to lift the top of my storage area. In one of my first Pacifica videos- I showed some other storage options as well. I recently re-did it ... My objective here was to lighten the platform for ease of removal ( and weight for better gas mileage ). I can empty the van in a few minutes now, and put my 2 10.6' kayaks in. The 48" long "bed" also can be used as a table, or bench when I want to use it outside of the van. Yours is a great idea, but I wanted more flexibility and don't use the van just as a camper but also a family "car" Thanks for commenting- it helps others searching for options! Lynn (AvianMariner)
I have a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica I just brought I'm wanting to build it out I do not know how to remove the back seats and I don't know how to remove the seat belt in the back as well. I bought a piece of plywood but with the hump in the back of the van I don't know how to build out feet for the piece of plywood I'm extremely stressed out I bought this new van and I don't know if I can do it or not starting to feel like I'm obligated to $30,000 for nothing
@@tinadaniels401 I did put up a few videos on making the 8 feet in the back useful ( including how to build up the back so it is flat. ) Keep in mind that you may want to sell the vehicle in the future! Permanent removal of the stow n go seats and belts is not something I would do. The belt in the far back can retract into the ceiling... I am traveling right now so can't look up the early videos easily, but will try to when I can if you can't find them 😊 Lynn ( I loved my high mileage Pacifica until I traded it this year )
I wish I’d done that with my dog. She would still be walking today!! 😢😢
Nice. People still use cb radios. Breaker breaker 1-9. I may have to get one.

I bet you could buy a wedge pillow and cut it to fit the angle of your rear seat.
I have seen that done!
😊
Very well done! Love the simplicity!
Thanks ! Always appreciate comments 😊
Good for you! I've gotten so much flack for my pets traveling in crates. Loose pet travel is called "shotgun" for a reason!! 😢
