Hey guys, I’m giving an update on the van in an upcoming video and I’d like to answer some of your questions. Reply to my comment with your questions below and I’ll get back to some of you in the next video ⤵️⤵️ Also I thought I’d add; I see bots in the comments that look like me replying to comments asking about getting a van built, how much I charge, etc. The accounts replying are not me. Always double check usernames/user handles. Don’t send them money.
What about the weight of all that wood? How has it decreased the mpg? Also, is it not heavier on one side and not the other? Would you consider doing another build showing how to gut it and have similar storage without all the carpentry for those of us that are less skilled in that area? Or at least explain what you would do? I love your build and how well thought out it is with the insulation etc. Thank you!
A determined soul can do more with a rusty wrench than a loafer can do with a shed full of tools. This young man gives me hope for this generation, he had a vision and made it come to pass, great job sir!
Buddy, you will make a fortune starting your business customizing vans or trucks for people wanting a mobile home that cost less than an actual trailer van. You are extremely talent for your age.
im a trucker and live in a truck 5-6 days a week and all iwant to say is all u need is a good bed and a good cooler , everything else u can find when u want to
This came out incredible. So much money saved by doing all of the building yourself, and re-using materials. Amazing build, I really appreciated the thought that went into it. The floor transition from kitchen to living area was a nice touch. And the cabinet/ kitchen area looks marvelous.
Hunter, YOU are an exceptional young man at 19!!!😃 Congratulations! Well done! 😊🎉 I LOVE your van build!!!😊❤ You are not only talented at carpentry and design, you are obviously very industrious, ambitious, as well as creative. Oh man you got the skills and the knowledge to do this at 19 years old you are amazing man you can make a business doing this you are so awesome at it so great I love your work
I have no doubt that this kid will lead a happy fulfilling life. He's got way more skills than just carpentry! Im not ready to do this yet but when I am i wish I could get his phone number..... live in his driveway for awhile and have him help me. Thoes cabinets are beautiful and really well thought out. If it was my van I think I would rather just have a bed a little wider than my shoulders with some storage underneath because I'm getting older everyday and it would be a hassle for me. Thoes front seats must have been a pain in the ass with the airbag situation Anyway ......great job👍
What kind of a van is that? I have a 2006 Honda Pilot and would LOVE to have the strength and stamina and BRAIN o do something like you did! Your parents are the luckiest parents in the world! Kudos Hunter! You are a genius with vision and a backbone. There must be 3 more like you still in the world! Stay healthy.
I've also seen a boat load if van mods. Takes the gold 🥇 for sure. Layout is esthetically balanced and truly functional. Thank you for opening the eyes of possibility and next gen focus. Well done young sir. 🎯
Awesome job! My 1st car at 17 was a gold minivan similar to this & I loved it cuz me & my friends would go camping & we'd sleep in it & I could fit so many ppl & everything I needed. I wish I had done this w/my van. 👏🏻👏🏻
Great job. I like that you can use a double sheet in the bed foam, easy to put on and off, wash and change. Good storage cupboards will use your Idea of hinging bottom cupboards at the top, as these can be opened up and by adding a fold down leg create a table top surface.
It looks amazing, so much storage and love the kitchen placement and the doors opening upwards, somebody further down mentioned adding a leg to utilise one of them as a table which sounds like a great idea!
Lol so true. No 19 year old kid! can do this where I'm at.. Everyone's parents are broke. And you Ain't going to find one hand tool, let alone power tools!
@@Quickstepz-OG your comment is ridiculous. Because parents don't have money a young adult can't do anything? This suggests only those with handouts can accomplish things. Absurd. Explain how not to have a defeated mentality when the world is going to hell an it seems like no one actually gives a fuck anymore I understand anything is possible when u put your mind to it but how can you put ur mind toward anything when life is such shit
Really nice work! Two related things crossed my mind: the weight of so much wood, and the balance of that weight. Neither issue probably interferes with your enjoyment of this well-appointed van, though they likely increase the cost of driving it.
I have the same style kitchen cabinet doors in my shuttle conversion. We also used pallet wood throughout, lots of work to deconstruct, but totally worth it. You did an amazing job!
Most definitely impressive. I actually think I can do something similar with my SUV. I've been thinking about it for quite a while. Now that I've seen how you went through the process, it's time to get moving and do it.
Great build! To help the bed base extension slide more freely try furniture sliders to help it slide over the carpet and bees, candle or even furniture wax where the wood slides over the wood.

Don't br afraid to look at stuff outta state too, it's definitely worth it. I have a minivan, and I love it don't get me wrong, but I'd love to see cargo vans come down in price. Also love to see gas go down in price
