As poetic as it would be. In reality there is no way a normal size man can take someone like The Mountain without weapons or some sort of miracle. The only one i can think of is Mike Tyson on his prime, he was not very tall, but still very strong and quick as fuck.

Hafthor is clearly holding back. He is astonishingly fast for such a big man. Would be fascinating to watch him with a battleaxe.
Battleaxes were pretty light as were virtually all weapons historically. A two handed Dane Axe weighed between 2 and 5 pounds. Lighter weapons are faster and tire the user less. Even most claymores were less than 6 pounds.

It's a play fight. however, there were two parts near the beginning where the mountain caught conor by the head and by the leg. if you think in either of those instances conor could have wriggled his way out of and not ended up with a broken everything, then you're fucking delusional. there's a million ways the mountain could have killed conor, and only 1 real way for conor to win, which takes a lot of faking him out and dodging strikes and grapples, tiring him out. It's not impossible for conor to win, but there are weight divisions for a reason you dope. the odds are overwhelming stacked against the littler guy.
