I really like the fact that the trainer tells them to protect the aggressor against severe head injuries. It is one thing to defend your-self but another to kill or paralyse another human being, EVEN if he or she attacks you. This distinguishes you from the aggressor and should be the reason why you should learn how to fight. Great video, mille gracie

mshesh16 I just said marines because he specifically said "marines4life", but yeah, I doubt he is or ever was one. I don't know about the "killing is acceptable" mindset. Like that as well. Will say, though, as a prior military and someone thinking of going back in(if and when Biden dies or something), I will not lose sleep if I don't catch them if the situation is life or death.
Depends on the situation, is people around, is it a group? are they armed? Sure there might be a way to fight your way out, but sometimes running and drawing attention is the only way out. the object isn't to prove your manhood the object is to stay alive.

My attacker *always* allowed me to move them into position and to perform those actions in the video. Helped that my attacker was my big soft teddy bear.
@Michael Smith Doesn't matter what does and doesn't work, pushing someones head back in any situation aint the danger, it's the floor bit that's worrying. Forget this maneuver, the two parts I'm talking about is all I'm referring to
@Michael Smith Well, again ignoring this maneuver, my general rule of thumb is that if someone goes down you make damn sure they stay down Thankfully haven't had to fight anyone in years, but I'm not about to risk getting the shit kicked outta me just because someone went down for a bit, especially when I never throw the first punch, A solid kick to the thigh or stomach is definitely on the menu at that stage
@Michael Smith My guy, you're not really listening to me here are you? I have said multiple times, I'm not talking about this video. ANYTHING you do that results in someone going down or having their head get pushed around is what I'm talking about. If someone goes down for any reason, and they hit their head, it's dangerous. And if someone goes down but clearly isn't out, I'm not gonna give them the opportunity to get back up on sheer principle, I'm not talking about this video or little pushes.
Brown belt in Karate myself but I always found it less than real-life helpful that when practicing and demonstrating that someone would throw a half hearted punch and then freeze at their extension so you could do your thing. I doubt anyone in real life would just stand there, arms extended, and let you do your thing after throwing their punch. Of course, in class, you don't want to hurt one another and your learinng technique, but this is how most martial arts classes go I think and you have to start somewhere. Of course, I expect a lot of criticism over my view point. Fine, this is how I saw it.
I was scrolling to see if anyone was going to point this out.. I agree with you.. It's no different than Aikido students throwing themselves around.. Muay Thai and BJJ are so successful because a) they're effective and efficient, and b) you actually do the moves when you train.. All this step here, pull this nostril with your left thumb, poke this eye with your big toe while biting this ear and headbutting his balls while keeping side control all within a split second bullshit is just that, bullshit.. Every krav maga nut I've sparred with were clueless, except for the ones with experience in another full contact sport like boxing, kickboxing or some form of grappling - which means what exactly? It means that krav maga is useless AND wearing camo pants and black t shirts doesn't help win you a fight... Nor does breaking your hands and wrists while punching in a real fight btw.. Oh maybe you can get one guy off you and walk away with a shot hand that's now useless, but once his friend comes flying in from over here, what are you going punch him with? Your fucking dick? Knowing krav maga guys, they probably would.. Jesus christ almighty.. 😒

@Special Agent Krycek this is the form of self defense that every Israeli soldier must train in. If you're judging Krav by this video, then you really need to watch some videos of guys earning their brown or black belt. These are obviously beginners. I got as far as orange, and spent an hour in the ER getting my lip stitched up after that test. It's a tough, tough form of self defense. And you have an advantage over your attacker in that you have training and most likely, he does not.
It's amazing how reality and training differ. I've actually had this happen, but in reality it was a friend and I wasn't expecting the situation to escalate so quickly. And unlike the video if someone is going to push you the distance is much much closer. No one does a run and push unless they really have no intention on actually engaging. The combination of timing and speed coordination to pull this off against someone who's been in a few most people just don't have. I think training seminars should come with a 'this is under optimal conditions' set up before passing it off as techniques that can work just because you've taken a few classes.
+wotchthiz thinking you can make stuff work after just a few classes just proves the person does not understand the basic concept of training - i won't become an expert in cooking just by book-cooking a few times either

All martial arts (some exceptions) are effective when you train and actually been in a fight or two (not tournaments). You learn very quickly what you are in a real fight, win, lose, gun, gangs, or cops. These days, depending on where you live, you're not fighting one person, unarmed. Such a world we live in these days. Ugh... I love this instructor and his lessons. Awesome teacher and love his explanations. I wish him and his school all the best and thanks to Luca Goffi for this video. God bless
Have caught clips of bands of hoodlums AGAINST 1; Like 3, 4, 5, guys against ONE; this is how the cowardly do battle; they can’t even do 1 on 1; (and will say they are Black against White) and of course they always say (when saying how unfair that is) is that in the 50’s, 60’s…but then they are essentially saying: revenge. But It doesn’t work like that. It will get worse. Good to know self defense at these end days. It will get worse. NOR for bullying but to protect yourself and your family.
KRAV MAGA, is a awesome fighting style that incorporates a bunch of fighting styles into one. Loved talking to friends that served in the IDF SF that were trained in this. From what I was told, they use this to end a serious treat quickly.
Get out of the geometric straight line of an opponent's attack , don't "be there" . Redirect and keep moving . Always have a smile on your face which seriously messes with your opponents mind . Excellent video and Thanks Very Much .
Now you have to spend years fighting a legal battle instead. Then you have to spend the rest of your life fighting Bubba from getting into your booty.....that's when Krav Maga really shines. lol
And you also have to hope that the guy or the girl doesn't have a black belt in krav maga. Otherwise you would be destroyed with bare hands even if you have a gun.
@@mateagoston8145 All of this looks good in the video. But in real life things are different. I'm not saying this is fake it's actually good. +Nievesggness True but it kinda sucks having a bunch of skills and then never use them. It's like becoming a good ball handler and never wanting to play 1 on 1 against somebody. Improving your ball handling makes you feel like wanting to break someone's ankles.
This is great when you know where the actions are coming from. I've been in combat sports and in a fight you can't tell your opponent which way to attack from. That being said, Krav Maga is a VERY effective martial art.
From my long ago bar experience, most attackers only have one move each, and they telegraph what they're going to do. "Just do it already so I can slip to my left and hit your wide open right side as you punch where I was."
Basically doing all moves my Wing Tsun sensei demonstrated during advanced private tranings - i hated the fact advanced moves where considdered "secret"; Note: WT moves more passive and automated.
I have shit reaction time and it is easy to tell where someone is gonna attack from unless they do a spinning back fist or certain kicks which If you have enough experience are easy to avoid
1 JetGator lol I agree. just ask Goliath what David did to him, or Samson and the philistines, they didn’t hold back because they knew in that situation it was kill or be killed.
Although these hand-to-hand techniques have the potential to be effective in a real fight, as with any hand-to-hand technique, they are context-dependent. If there are people who seek a hand-to-hand technique that will work regardless of the context, they'll be waiting indefinitely. If you want to be best equipped to protect yourself and/or others from harm, you have to sufficiently dedicate yourself to more than just one technique. The more effective techniques you can execute effectively, the better equipped you'll be to protect yourself and/or others from harm. If you want to avoid violence occurring in your life, then don't do what is conducive towards violence occurring in your life. That's going to require thought, and possibly, a change of belief, in order to best equip yourself to do so. I hope this helps someone.
There is always 'The 'X' Factor'. Hence insight, practice, and as real as possible simulated experience are necessary. One technique is not neccissarily effective----ie stairwell, elevator, beside cars... 'Fred' n a D in ujoG
Killertiger Gaming Krav Maga is actually very effective when trained properly.. developed by the IDF, which are definitely people that you don’t want to fuck with. Of course the way they and other militaries who use it, teach it, is to annihilate or kill your opponent
Always love to read the comments on these demo/training videos from all the REAL fighters who train full contact, 100% of the time from lesson one. I always leave feeling so inadequate. Thai Bo for life! 💪
Duggy but you’re an idiot, you know why? Because Krav Maga is a martial art for self defense purposes, not fighting skills, and it is for the average person, against the average person, not a trained boxer or an mma fighter. And you do realize that some of these Krav Maga guys are boxers or mma fighters and do incorporate punches/kicks in their moves? just since it’s the street and everything is allowed - sometimes there are other faster ways to end a fight (like balls, eyes, nose etc.), things you can’t do in a fair fight, or as I explained, things that are easier for the average person to do more than magically learning how to muai Thai low kick.
Glenn Robinson thank you kind sir, I am myself trying to get into martial arts these days, but I’m having a hard time with my labrum tear, and will have to do a surf in the near future.
This is really excellent stuff. I mean it. It won't look nearly like this in real life because it's just a drill. But the idea is evade, get behind, and grab the head, because where the head goes, the body follows.

As a trainer I learned that when I tell my students to push me, they kick me in the nuts! When I tell them to kick me, they punch me... .. in the nuts.
The thing is you never have the reflexes to truly do this in a street fight. You never know when a shove is coming or not cuz they're always so random.
Training is required. Build up muscle memory so it becomes a reaction. You definitely don’t have time to think in a fight, so muscle memory is the only way any type of combat training becomes effective.
@@martinprince7773 how do you build muscle memory in krav maga when there is no sparring and the only time you actually do this is in a real fight. How are you expected to do it?
@@aleksandarsokerov9290 krav maga is based on natural reflexes, there's minimal adjustments to those to make your counterattack effective. good krav maga schools will teach you how to counter fighters with all different kind of fighting backgrounds (jiu jitsu, mma, boxing, muay thai, etc). if they don't let you spar (with gear on), it's not a good school. you don't have to go full force the whole training, but effectively dosing, and then taking your exams against opponents in full gear will test whether you have mastered the techniques. krav maga is the real shit, so don'r go to a crappy school :)
Yep. You'll never see this move used in close quarters combat, not even by this guy. It's ignoring the multitude of idiosyncratic reactions of the opponent. Typical staged: "This will happen, and only this so you do this and you are now safe," bs.

***** actually, it was Jeet Kun Do that Krav Maga ripped it off from... which derived from Wing Chun because Bruce Lee created JKD based on his training from WC. But JKD is the slim down version of WC.
***** It is not a martial art, hell they have a handbook on this that teaches you near everything you can do, martial arts teaches you techniques and sometimes you have to be fit to do a lot of these things. they also say a lot that this is not a martial art
Chak ada For first, he never said it's a martial art but a combination of a few martial art styles. Which is a truth that can't be denied. And for second: Just because they say it's not a martial art, they aren't right. Because: 1.) Everything that is made to skill you for warfare is a martial art. 2.) Krav Maga is made to skill you for warfare. 3.) Therefor Krav Maga is a martial art.
One thing I'd like to see more of with these technique videos is having the aggressor try to compensate like in real life instead of just letting it happen. I'm not saying it won't work IRL, but IRL the if he already has contact with your chest, the opponent won't just keep going past you when you side step.
Callum Turner The second part of his commend is pure stupid, but he's not wrong. It's pretty typical for our time to see guys that look like this. The instructor looks pretty ordinary to me. Tattoos like that are rather common these day in modern martial arts gyms and nothing else really says that he looks like a maniac.
you know how you end a fight in 3 seconds? Train for 10 years. There is no shortcut to anything, including a fight. You could spend a lifetime solely on the mental aspects of combat. Quick shortcut:? Study wrestling, western boxing, muay thai, judo, brazilian jiujitsu. You will be unstoppable. It's called MMA
I'm ex-army and was a PTI and taught unarmed combat. We don't play fair when It comes to hand to hand combat. We play to kill. I can end any conflict in the blink of an eye if you touch me. Every been throat punched? You won't see it coming. You'll only know you are near death. And with good reason. You may never get up. But when you do you won't have any fight left in you.
This video is titled badly. It's basic telegraphing and self-defense. Read the opponent and react to the opponent. The side-step is a pretty low-level and common technique. It WOULD end a fight in 3 seconds if it went down like this, and you went for a face shot or a grapple. In fact, you might kill or seriously injure the person. There needs to be context for stuff like this. This is not for 'fighting', this is for 'combat'. "How to end a fight in 3 seconds, and go to jail for 30 years and live with the guilt of murdering/crippling a man your entire life" He does seem to suggest that you can deflate the situation, by noticing the telegraph of the 'push'. By diverting the 'push', nothing else really has to happen, as long as you are controlled about it. 99 times out of 100, the fight is over, and nothing really happened. But the suggestion that you should then clean the opponents clock is insane, and the way he is diverting the push is aggressive and doesn't need to be like that. Edit: Watch the shoulders, watch the hips. You don't even intend to strike the guy. Let him make the first move and deflate it. Also, if you have any sort of martial arts training, in circumstances like a weird street fight, the onus of responsibility is put upon you, even if you are only defending yourself. So you need to be aware of this as well. You will definitely go to jail for 'defending' yourself in this way, because you have a higher level of responsibility. The sidestep and reading a telegraph and how to deflate is good. That's what people really need to know.
That's not realistic. Our Army and Marine Corps had to fight the Japanese, a culture very steep in the martial arts. We neither had the time nor the inclination to go there. What they were taught were tactics to take out the enemy in short order or get killed themselves. I was trained by the best, the US Army Special Forces while stationed in the central highlands of Vietnam. After I came back, and in due course, someone tried to rob me with a gun. I disarmed him, cleaned out his clock, and sent him fleeing for his life. I did this without holding a black belt or any belt at all.
@@michaelcummingsherrera1232 You fought in WW2? Respect! Also, as someone that competed at a national level in Tae Kwon Do, and is also an ex-Marine, I can tell you the basic level of Marine hand-to-hand combat training isn't even on the level of the crappiest 'Karate' or 'Taekowndo' school, modern day.

Knowing my luck, i would break the neck and spend my life in prison.
It's not that easy to break a neck by pushing someones head back
But their head hitting the floor is a problem.
@Michael Smith Doesn't matter what does and doesn't work, pushing someones head back in any situation aint the danger, it's the floor bit that's worrying.
Forget this maneuver, the two parts I'm talking about is all I'm referring to
@Michael Smith Well, again ignoring this maneuver, my general rule of thumb is that if someone goes down you make damn sure they stay down
Thankfully haven't had to fight anyone in years, but I'm not about to risk getting the shit kicked outta me just because someone went down for a bit, especially when I never throw the first punch, A solid kick to the thigh or stomach is definitely on the menu at that stage
Hit a man on side of his temple twice and stopped when his eye pop out of socket .
@@elaines5750 HMMM I THINK AR OR DEAGLE IS BIG ADVANTAGE AGAINST MARTIAL ART WHERE YOU NEED TO EXPLAIN YOUR ENEMY WHAT TO DO
@@elaines5750 OR SLAVIC PERSON (that's big advantage too)
He's teaching a class of beginners. He's breaking down the moves so they understand. Duh.

If you are serious about martial arts for self-defense, study wrestling, bjj, boxing and Muay Thai. Those work in the street.
All martial arts (some exceptions) are effective when you train and actually been in a fight or two (not tournaments). You learn very quickly what you are in a real fight, win, lose, gun, gangs, or cops. These days, depending on where you live, you're not fighting one person, unarmed. But It doesn’t work like that. It will get worse. Good to know self defense at these end days. It will get worse. NOR for bullying but to protect yourself and your family.

This is great when you know where the actions are coming from. I've been in combat sports and in a fight you can't tell your opponent which way to attack from. That being said, Krav Maga is a VERY effective martial art.
My KM instructor said there’s no such things as “just do this”. Training taught me a lot, mainly that I want to avoid fighting and bad situations.

KM is not a sport. It is a self defense technique.
David E it has almost no potential for a fight

Duggy but you’re an idiot, you know why? And you do realize that some of these Krav Maga guys are boxers or mma fighters and do incorporate punches/kicks in their moves? just since it’s the street and everything is allowed - sometimes there are other faster ways to end a fight (like balls, eyes, nose etc.), things you can’t do in a fair fight, or as I explained, things that are easier for the average person to do more than magically learning how to muai Thai low kick.

Others can laugh at you and me. You get my respect and may save me some time with your teachings.
The poeple that are complimenting this never had been to a real fight.
As a trainer I learned that when I tell my students to push me, they kick me in the nuts! When I tell them to kick me, they punch me... .. in the nuts.
That kind of focus to your nuts is just a sexual harassment lawsuit waiting to happen.
The thing is you never have the reflexes to truly do this in a street fight. You never know when a shove is coming or not cuz they're always so random.
I have Ligma Help correct
@@Sophie6396 krav maga is the new century martial art crap, sorry about that
It always looks easy when you have cooperation from your opponent.
Yep. You'll never see this move used in close quarters combat, not even by this guy. It's ignoring the multitude of idiosyncratic reactions of the opponent. Typical staged: "This will happen, and only this so you do this and you are now safe," bs.
@@kennedyd4687 Anyone that is pragmatically-oriented. This can be from any traditional martial art that has learned to include realistic sparring and practical moves, to MMA.
Also, the quality of your academy and your instructor will be more important than the style you choose.
@@kennedyd4687 Alicator2 is absolutely correct. Try to avoid McDojo styles like GKR, though.
@@Zachorazor1
When the hell did anybody say "this and only this"? Nobody would teach this move if it didn't have any kind of practical application.
@@serotonin5852 You're joking right? You think any technique is good if someone has gone to the effort of teaching it? You clearly know nothing about self defence or fighting.
Keep up the good work guys!!!
rly nice execution, and i like the control when he show his punches, good teacher in my opinion :)
Krav maga is the most badass fighting style I have ever seen.
Chak ada
For first, he never said it's a martial art but a combination of a few martial art styles. Which is a truth that can't be denied. And for second: Just because they say it's not a martial art, they aren't right.
Because:
1.) Everything that is made to skill you for warfare is a martial art.
2.) Krav Maga is made to skill you for warfare.
3.) Therefor Krav Maga is a martial art.
Every thing he is showing is what we practice on a daily basis in Wing Chun.
Dsloan Johnson Yep.
Certo.......sicuramente rimane con le mani incrociate l'avversario....
One thing I'd like to see more of with these technique videos is having the aggressor try to compensate like in real life instead of just letting it happen. I'm not saying it won't work IRL, but IRL the if he already has contact with your chest, the opponent won't just keep going past you when you side step.
"and as always... Stomp to the groin" Master Ken
I tried this and wound up in another dimension.
Trans dimensional travel is one of Krav Magas many uses. You must be a quick learner is all.
The guy at 2:19 was so happy to push him 😂
R H you’re cute too Damn.
Real life street fights are a different matter
The trainer looks like a maniac. Definitely someone you wouldn't want to pick up a fight with in the street. Great trainer though!
yeah good trainer :) i could understand what he meant without reading the subtitles or knowing his language!
typical for our time....ur afraid of a guy just cuz he goes to gym and has tattoos while this kind of guy is prolly the easiest to fight.
***** Go troll somewhere else Steven Seagal.
Andres Gonzalez Don't indulge in conversation with a troll. :)
Callum Turner
The second part of his commend is pure stupid, but he's not wrong. It's pretty typical for our time to see guys that look like this. The instructor looks pretty ordinary to me. Tattoos like that are rather common these day in modern martial arts gyms and nothing else really says that he looks like a maniac.
End a fight in 3 seconds... *pulls out gun 💥🔫
Idiot !!
Or pull knive out
Yeah I have a few pals doing life for pulling an using a knife 🔪 I don't advise it!
Pj Mcd Who are you friends with? A few doing life. Self defense with weapons isn't illegal if its just. Thats why we can conceal and carry.

dont bring a gun to a bomb fight
you know how you end a fight in 3 seconds?
"How to end a fight in 3 seconds, and go to jail for 30 years and live with the guilt of murdering/crippling a man your entire life"
He does seem to suggest that you can deflate the situation, by noticing the telegraph of the 'push'.
BJJ fighters slowly wear down opponents and then submit them. You can't pratically win a fight in 3 seconds using BJJ lol.
I'm an artist and instead of using this as drawing reference, I ended up binge watching
It's pretty exciting to watch
