    This recipe is so delicious I have a egg allergy so unfortunately I can’t eat a cake that has egg in it but that doesn’t mean I can’t a vegan cake or even cupcakes. Instead of making a cake I decided to make cupcakes out of this recipes it’s so good and perfect for the holidays 💖 happy thanksgiving 🍁🦃 btw

    The cake turned out really nice and soft but 1 tsp soda and 1bicabonate was too much, there was after taste, so I tried 2nd time with half tsp and turned out perfect thanks for the recipe.

    I just made this but my batter was a bit runny compared to yours. I did use gluten free flour. I added a bit more flour. Waiting on the outcome of this cake.

    This is an excellent and tasty recipe.
    I made it again this morning expect I payed a layer of cake batter, then a layer of fresh peach 🍑 cobbler/pie filling, then a layer of the cake batter, and topped it off with a tad more preach topping.
    I made a cake and muffins.
    It was a hit.

      Hi Emma, yes you can use oil! But use a light oil (like sunflower) because it does tend to make the cake a little heavier. Hope that helps!

      Yes you can use coconut milk instead! Be sure to check the blog post for all substitutions but any vegan milk works! ❤️

      @@nerielysdelgado7615 hey did you change anything like pan size or cook temp and cook/bake time? Should never come out watery! Sounds like the flour measurement might've been off or the liquid measurement too much!

    Made a half-batch, subbed baking powder for the baking soda because I didn't have any baking soda, and it yielded 11 delicious cupcakes! They came out moist, and secured such praise from my husband that he gladly ate them even without the yummy icing. I'd highly recommend! Thank you for sharing!

      Hi! Aww thank you!! Walnuts are my personal fave! And I would lightly toast them first. It putting them in the cake, toss them in flour first so they don't sink!

    Cake turned out moist and well done with my preferred modifications
    1) half the brown sugar; added three packets of stevia
    2) added two tbsp of high quality margarine and rest EV olive oil
    3) added half gluten free flour and half rice flour (to balance the density from gluten free)
    4) added some chai spice (made at home) to have a Chai Tea cake.
    Keeping the recipe.

    Can you do these as cupcakes? I know with some recipes, if you do them as cupcakes, they will taste completely different than the cakes bc of the baking time being different. Thanks in advance.

    Thank yeeew 💚 I made this, tastes so good but my cake is nothing alike. It's dense and doughy. It's my 3rd failed attempt so i'm starting to blame my oven cuz nothing bakes the way i want since we bought it. The only error this time was i used coconut milk and it didn't curdle up well. But that alone can't make the cake THAT bad 😭 I even tested my baking soda before adding it

      ​@@biernut8723 An ingredient derived from bone is used to whiten the cane sugar. If you're using beet sugar you're good. Or just a vegan cane sugar.

      I haven't tried it and the texture would be different by the way! I would suggest doing ½ and ½ so it isn't too different

      For the cake you can use oil but it'll be a little heavy! Not for the frosting though! 💖

    What type of butter did you use. It is soo white! Also, was your butter unsalted?

      hey, Miyokos for this! It was salted! :) if you have unsalted, just add a pinch of salt!
