I recently finished watching the Ash vs Evil Dead series after a long time of putting it off and had a blast with it! Your Evil Dead deep dive had a lot to do with me getting back into the whole world so thank you for that! Lol
When you were showing off the DVDs in your collection, it reminded me of how amazing DVDs and even VHS tapes used to be. I mean the cover art and the sleeves are so cool. I have some old DVDs and VHS tapes that came in a collection box. And one of them forms a whole picture on the sleeves when you line the tape cases up. Like that's just perfect. Thanks for showing your amazing collection. Really loved the how chill vibes this was as well
I definitely agree with you on physical media being better than streaming cause man those DVD covers and sleeves are not only cool to me but most of the art on them are just so amazing. Plus the added features in DVDs like bonus and deleted scenes, BTS, interviews, bloopers (which is probably my favorite feature in DVDs). All such good stuff! You have a lot more cool stuff to add to your already amazing collection. Also I'm all for more of these unscripted and less edited down videos. I loved the whole vibe of this. It just felt like I was hanging out with a good friend as they show me what's in their collection. Thanks for this awesome collection video Kylie! And as everyone has been saying in the comments, I'm so happy to be part of the Haunted Hippie cult!!
Dang! This update to your collection is fire fr! So many classics and badass covers like the steel book and the cabin in the woods holographic cover! Amazing! I’m also so glad you got the full ash vs evil dead series! Now you don’t have to get starz haha I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on that series! Something tells me you’re gonna like it more than the movies! Plus your Evil Dead collection now has Army of Darkness! Groovy! I also love how these unscripted videos captures the authentic Kylie where your disassociate lol I do that all the time! Love when you sang across the universe 😂 reminds me of when you used to use the Beatles song “The End” in your old videos! You’re clearly a Beatles person like me and love all things Fab Four! The movie across the universe is one of if not the best of the Beatles movies! Love the reimagined musical take on all the Beatles’ classic tunes! And speaking of music, Queen of the Damned is an awesome vampire movie that has a stacked soundtrack of nu-metal and hard rock from the turn of the millennium (late 90s early 00s) and has the vampire singing like the guy from Korn cuz the movie uses the Korn guys voice! It’s cool but kinda takes me outta the movie being a korn fan but regardless, it has an amazing scene featuring the deftones song “Change (in the house of flies)” I’d love to hear your thoughts on that movie once you’ve seen it! But keep the unscripted long videos coming! Hope I can snatch one of the sick blurays with your signature!
Totally! Been a long time fan! It’s so cool seeing your channel grow! And this is embarrassing but I edited a little typo on my comment and it took away your heart! 😩 could you like my comment again? It just has to be “liked” 😏
Great video. The Sting is a great movie. You got a lot of fun horror movies from the 70s and 80s. I’m sure you will enjoy them. Your video was a lot of fun and entertaining.
Just found your channel and I’m loving your collection videos. I highly recommend checking out Vinegar Syndrome and Severin if you are looking for some great deep cuts. The Ward was filmed in my hometown btw and a friend of mine worked on the film.
Omg didn’t know Halloween had a book series like how cool !! Your collection keeps getting bigger and better ! So hyped for your David croneberg video in the future ! You’re making me wanna watch the evil dead franchise ! I’ve only seen remake and dead rise . I wish I could participate in your giveaways 😭
I hope to have a collection/haul like these someday. Also happy to be on the cult. Your voice/narration/commentary is definitely alone worth enough to give up my soul
Great haul!!! I watched Freaky and Train to Busan for the first time this year and both loved them, they have become favorites!! I watched Demons on Shudder the other day, and it was a fun time, I think you'll enjoy it. The Brood is sooo weird, I would be curious to hear your thoughts 😅 And The Changeling was good too, a bit slow but good!
I'm glad a fellow physical media collector will appreciate these. I'll be sure to send you more once the doubles begin to pile up again. It's an honor being part of the cult.
Hope you enjoy the books Hippie. I'm especially interested to hear your thoughts on the Ends novelization as the movie would've been SO much better if they'd put in some of the scenes from the book!
one flew over the cuckoo's nest is one of my favorite movies and one of my favorite books. I also recently got the chucky box and it lives up to the hype
I went to Target yesterday and they only had 15 blu rays and 5 CD’s. I left depressed for the rest of the day lol. I seriously hope there’s going to be a renaissance of physical media when consumers revolt against the greed of streaming services
Love Cemetery Man. I own the dvd and it's really hard to find even here in Italy so that's a great addiction to your collection. It's based on a novel by Tiziano Sclavi that was like a prototype of the comic book he later created, Dylan Dog, a very popular horror character here in Italy.
I had William Friedkin's adaptation of The Exorcist, all seven of the original Nightmare on Elm Street films, and all ten original Friday the 13th films in my collection.
I have ALL the weapons from the Famous Slashers! Plus signed by the actors that played them! Included a Ghostface "Buck" knife signed by Skeet & Matthew! Plus every Hockey mask from every part signed! R.I.P. .... Steve Dash, Richard Brooker & Ted White! 🤘☠🤘
All those new covers you liked are from Shout Factory, they always have new art for their CEs. Snapper cases are those you call 'clicky DVDs' 😄 Lenticulars are the 'flip-flop' changing covers, sometimes they're used to add 3D depth. Mayhem and Freaky are awesome! You don't know about The Frighteners!? It's great, was recently released in UHD in Germany.
Ash Vs Evil Dead (Please make your season reviews! I need them!), Across the Universe, The Brood (we have the exact same copy! I wish there were special features on it :( ), Return of the Living Dead, Cemetary Man, Personal Shopper, Killer Klowns From Outer Space and tons more. This is the horror jackpot! Also I can't stress this enough you NEED to listen to the audio commentary and watch the special features on Killer Klowns From Outer Space even if you don't like movie. I rented the movie in the early 2000's and the audio commentary and the behind the scenes blew me away. The Chiodo Brothers made that movie out of NOTHNG! They wrote, directed and did all the effects for the entire movie themselves with practically no money. They talk about how they did the effects, things that can go wrong on set (like the car scene) everything you need to know about making low budget features. It's all there. And the Chiodo Brothers didn't actually want to direct a movie they just wanted to do special effects for other people's movies, but they couldn't get work, so they said screw it and made their own movie to show off their effects work. And it worked! They went on to work on Robocop (the 6000 SUX commercial in the movie), Alien X-Mas on Netflix, Marcel the Shell with Shoes on, puppet work on a Simpsons episode, Critters 2, 3 and 4, Screamers (A very cool sci-fi horror movie from 1995) and they did the North Pole sequences in freaking Elf! Mr. Narwall, the puffin, all that stuff was from Chiodo Brothers Productions baby! Honestly some of these are new to me to but I knew about Elf and Alien X-Mas. Killer Klowns From Outer Space isn't just some random horror movie it was made as a literal tech demo to launch their careers and yeah it totally worked. Fun fact: One of the Chiodo brothers was a technical director on Tim Burton's Vincent. The special features on Killer Klowns is a freaking goldmine. I know you went to film school, but yeah it's free film school haha The Chiodo Brothers are freaking special effects wizards. Knowing how they made that movie and pulling it all together (without working themselves to death!) with very little money or help proves Killer Klowns is a freaking miracle movie. And they admitted they stole the plot from original The Blob and changed the blob to Killer Klowns just to show off their effects work, so they had more creative freedom. Neat, huh? haha Also I have the Halloween 2018 novelization too. It's definitely worth a read.

I also want to purchase my 4K Blu-ray copies of "The Craft", "Carrie" (1976), "The Slumber Party Massacre 1 and 2", the first two Scream films, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and the Candyman films (1992 original and its 2021 sequel).
