Hey Haunted Hippie I purchase multiple copies of one movie or trilogy a lot just because it might have a alternate slipcover, special features, alternate film cuts, bonus discs, limited edition, deluxe edition, special edition, exclusive packaging etc. It's an addiction for us physical media collectors to double-dip. I love and enjoy your channel!
That seemed to be a lot of physical media, I would've been overwhelmed. Must've been like a field day for you getting all that content for future UA-cam creator homework and plenty to keep you entertained for a long time.

1 hour physical media video?! Yes please! So many great stuff. I'm with you with what you've said before and this video, there are something about DVD cases that I also just adore. The designs that go into some of them are awesome. And the special features are always something that I love. I mean if a DVD has a blooper reel it's a win for me. But I loved this collection update video. Even with the slight audio issues of the second part of the video. As I've said before I don't mind them as I just live for the unscripted, candid and realness of your videos. It's such a great balance between those and your more professional deep dive videos. So thanks again for another collection update video Kylie. And for putting together this tremendous hour long video!!

Was not expecting an hour long physical media/collection update but I'm here for it. And you got a lot of great stuff. Also when you showed Sky High, I actually watched that a few days ago and you're right, it's still amazing. I almost forgot that Linda Carter was in it and when I saw her I was like "omg wait Wonder Woman is in this?!" I also forgot how much I loved Danielle Panabaker's character. She was like friendly Poison Ivy and I loved it. Also can't forget Mary Elizabeth Winstead's character as well. I'm also with you on how much I love DVD cases and just DVDs in general. I mean the features that are in them are always a major plus for me. Especially if there's behind the scenes and a hilarious blooper/gag reel. Those are always a plus. But thanks so much for this amazing physical media video Kylie!

I have a tip for sticker removal, and you don't need glu/goo gone. If you blow dry the sticker for like 30 seconds or so, the heat from the blow dryer will heat up the glue and you can peel off the sticker without any residue.
I loved Monster Squad when it came out on VHS. I like how you are getting into films I have seen nearly 40 years ago and also bought on DVD/Blu Ray.

I don't really like possession movies, but I enjoyed The Possession of Hannah Grace because it had some slasher elements to it. Razorback and Mimic are good creature features. Mira Sorvino has been one of my favorite actresses since I first saw Mimic. Near Dark is really good, unfortunately it got overshadowed by The Lost Boys when they both came out in 87. The no plot movies I call hang out movies because it just feels like you are hanging out with the characters and we definitely need more of those.
Warning do not watch the Fulci stuff with dad.

Grandpa's love The Mummy movies! Mine had all 3. Also that Saw DVD originally has a lot more blood floating around in it. Either it's so old it evaporated or spilled out at some point. There was a special Texas chainsaw massacre in a similar case, It looked like a ground beef package.
I found using clean wipes works better in getting stickers off cases then goo be gone.
There's also a widescreen version of Sky High out there, it has a red banner instead of the blue.
I found that Frankenstein collection at a thrift shop a few years ago! So much awesome stuff on there and the movies are all great
i need to do some physical media shopping before most places stop selling it in stores, target has already taken the movie section out over here. there are alot of dvd's and blu rays i wanna get, like night of the creeps, the original house on haunted hill, the scream 1-6 collection, the childs play collection, chucky seasons 1 and 2 and tons more. i'm gonna hit up walmart this weekend and see if they still have their movies there still
DVD ROM are files read on a computer with a DVD drive. They used to be things like trailers photo galleries, screensavers and other interactive stuff The best DVD ROM is the interactive Encyclopedia/Labyrinth on the 1999 Nightmare on Elm Street region 1 DVD boxset. I still have it and it is still one of my best and favourite boxsets.
You gotta check your labels. There’s a lot of boutique labels in this haul.

Awesome load, some amazing films to fall in love with. Green Mile will break you. Dog Soldiers is wonderful fun. Brotherhood Of The Wolf is gorgeous to watch. Near Dark is one of my favourite******* films. And to quote Jay "Phantoms is the bomb!!!"

This haul is legendary! So much physical media and a Barbie?! My favorite of your finds is definitely deep blue sea and a hard days night! I love all the Beatles movies! I recently rewatched magical mystery tour and loved it!
Between the burning and TCM 2, you got two great 80s slashers that have Tom Savini doing effects on both! After all the other director and series deep dives, I think it would be cool to do one on Tom Savini, an all time legend in horror makeup and effects! I figure you’d appreciate it cuz you love to do creature acting and use crazy makeup effects. Savini also worked on creepshow!

I used to have that Saw DVD! The liquid in the front part of the case used to be red so it looked like blood. The little saw blade in the cover would bounce around in the "blood" too, it was pretty neat. I haven't seen any copies that still have the red color intact, so I think they're pretty much all like the one you got now.
Also a DVD ROM was a DVD that was specifically for using in a computer and I think they had interactive stuff on them. I almost never messed with any of the DVD ROMs I had, so that's about all I know about em haha.
This was the biggest hall I've ever seen. Congrats Kylie on all this great stuff! And a thing about Lucio Fulci is that his supernatural horror movies like City of the Living Dead are absolutely bonkers. I'm currently rewatching it on Tubi and I forgot how weird even the "normal" scenes are haha If you like City of the Living Dead I recommend watching The Beyond. Both of those movies and House By The Cemetery are his Gates of Hell trilogy. They're a thematic trilogy so it doesn't matter which ones you watch first they don't share characters either. His movies tend to be gory in a very weird and grimy way. And his movies rarely make sense, just insane vibes. New York Ripper is a pretty dark giallo and it's about as "straight forward" as Fulci gets haha

Also Jennifer Love Hewitt had a short loved music career. She released some bangers. The music video on the Blu-ray is the song that plays when she leaves class at the beginning of the movie
my last thrift shopping dvd run i found an unopened dvd of nightmare before christmas, big fish, doctor strange, princess and the frog, diamond edition of lion king, peter pan, mulan, i also found tucket and dale vs evil, knights of badassdom with steve zahn, peter dinklage, summer glau. but my favorite that i found was all of the indiana jones blu rays and also armageddon collectors edition. i need to head back to the goodwill here in town in nor cal, i never would find any good dvd's there but the last time i hit the jackpot. also alan tudyk is going to be at a con in san francisco a few days after thanksgiving, i'm going to have him either sign the box of his action figure from rogue one or the blu ray of tucker and dale vs evil
Yeah, Frankenstein Legacy Collection! The first three Frankenstein movies range from great to masterpiece. It was part of a series of collections for all the Universal Horror series. It was released as part of what was going to be a relaunch of the Universal monster universe, which didn't end up happening. But, we got these greater collections. The audio commentaries are amazing. They're thoroughly researched commentaries by film scholars based on the books they wrote about these movies. So, if you want even more details, you can pick up their books. Just fantastic stuff.

Cool I own that same copy of SAW!, that liquid used to have a red oil representing blood flowing through that clear fluid . The blood gets weird over time tho.

I’ve already explained in my letter that the Ferris steel book is the Blu-ray copy. I sent the 4K sleeve so you would see the special features. Then I got worried the the features were only on the new 4K. Funny the used the same steel book for both. But checking online it appears that both disks have the same features. 👍🙂😅
Still on your show sometime show where you watch your movies and on what equipment. I just know all my kids don’t have 4K players. 🤔

The two movies I sent to you are the Blu-Ray ones. In all your shows I have not heard that you have a 4K setup.
I myself do and I do upgrade some of my movies from Blu-ray to 4K. Many times it comes with a Blu-ray too. Being that I am upgrading I still have the other copy of the Blu-ray. You expressed before that you still want it in a regular case. So I sent them in the 4K case. I have a lot of movies in my collection. So I put many in slim cases. 👍😉🙂

Rian Johnson's Brick is underrated & worth a watch. if you're still in a Joseph Gordon Levitt mood Manic is a damn good movie also starring a younger Zooey Deschanel. The Out There Halloween Mega Tape/The WNUF Halloween Special part 2 is as good maybe even better than the copy you got in the mail. they are modern day specials made to look & feel like old school 80's/90's era Halloween specials/nostalgia down to the commercials & graphics. they are well made & done.

i have been buying used movies and music ......vhs and dvds and records
and have not payed full price for dvds from 2004 to now and were i am i can get dvds new or used for only 1 dollar and blue rays and 4ks are only 3 ea and many un opened dvds
and box sets for 4 ea , when everyone is paying full price and bestbuy or walmart i can get them a week or two later and i cant tell you where i get my dvds in my area
lets just say its a where house of dvds and games oh yea video games are buy 2 games for 6 dollars ............i am not going to say where the last time i sad where
this place is i open the flood gate and all the collector showed up and messed up for a year , never again i will tell any one ....and i get about 500 to 1200 hundred dvds a week
and in the summer time the dvds are only 50 cents ea
goodwill an dollar store is not a real movie collector stay away from that trap
