Watched both on TV at the same time, and I enjoyed the F1 no commercial break model over the NASCAR Commercial 500 race

F1 races are only 190 miles with usually only one very boring pit stop. I always watch both races recording one for later. F1 produces anticlimactic finishes most of the time hopefully 2026 season we will see many changes.

I absolutely agree with Haley. She's smart. And she knows how all of this works. I'm pulling for her for next year in the NXT Indy season.

As I’ve commented previously, the fact that Sheldon Creed commits all the money he brings to the Team & doesn’t take a paycheck despite finishing 2nd 10x or more is a huge indicator of the poor health of NASCAR. Nobody else on the Team (& none of us) is working without a paycheck, why should he. IMO, Larry Mac is just late to the table.

Regarding fans in the seat, have you ever been to Indy Car races? In Danica's last year there were a few thousand gathered around to see her speak at Sears Point. The following year the meet and greet was Bobby and Graham Rahal, who fans would have you to believe was the most popular driver. Attendance, about 50 and my son and I were only there because they were giving the tickets away. Of course the only thing the "fans " wanted to know: Hey, when you gonna race them there cars on that there dirt, yee haw, boy howdy, sum b!tch...

Deegan benefitted from NASCAR's "business model". If she wasn't a young, cute female, she would never have gotten off the local dirt tracks. She is a driver that brought money and little talent. Racing in general has historically been one of the most "show me the money" sports EVER!! IndyCar, F1, NASCAR are all the same.

hah. she was garbage in Indycar. her only win was when the field was split ( the former CART guys were doing a one off race in Long Beach that weekend to fulfill a contract ) and it only happened because the leader didn't even know she was on the lead lap.
      .
also, look at her behavior when she almost wiped out that Indycar safety truck. after the wreck she sits there crying on the radio about how she doesn't understand what happened.
      .
when the bimbo had created every single aspect of the situation, first by spinning herself out rejoining the track ( no other driver had that issue the entire race ) and then speeding excessively on flat spotted tires, causing them to blow out.
      .
i certainly wouldn't have been "confused" ( more likely was just playing for sympathy, which a guy would never have gotten away with ) but either way that single incident should have gotten her fired for gross incompetence.
      .
further, Janet Guthrie had BETTER NUMBERS across the board ( with the exception that Danica had a single finish one position better than Janet's best ) than Danica had. especially when you consider that Janet
      a - never ran a full season
b - was on a single car team ( i think Danica had a single year where she was the best driver on her team )
c - had a part time pit crew

I like F1 better because stewards call an incident and give a penalty immediately and the racing is good with no major pile ups/wrecks. I like green flag racing not racing where half the field is taken out by someone's aggressive driving.

She has never driven a long race in NASCAR, I would like to see her comments after running 500 miles. Real race car drivers that have done both NASCAR and Indy have said that NASCAR is much more physically demanding on a person. Even F1 drivers that have run a stock car have said how much more physically demanding it is compared to their cars.

@@driverslqqk7940lol, she is the one that wrecks people. You must have missed that part of her career. She got her break as part of the DEI bullshit that the manufacturers and NASCAR started a few years back. The other drivers don’t want her on the track because she drives way over her head and is too aggressive. She will ride this wave of popularity and go to Indy and fail and simply disappear.

For god sake, auto sport it's endless money pit. It's not a baseball where you need only stick and ball to play. Or football where all you need is time and legs to kick it. What the hell you expect from high tech sports? For it to be profitable or free? American people are truly delusional. A car, even self made cost a fortune. Bring it to track? Another fortune. Fill it with gas and put tires on it, isn't for free. Carting series is long out of reach for regular people without money and you want NASCAR to be "let's bring a talent to drive because it's free!" Yeah right.

I don’t understand all of the coverage about Deegan. She isn’t that talented of a driver and is a pretty dirty driver. She has only a handful of wins in karts and some dirt racing, but nothing on pavement. The reason other drivers don’t want her around is because she wrecks people, not because she is a woman. She has been called a spoiled brat by many other drivers and many owners don’t want her driving for them. She is basically the result of DEI. She will go to Indy and get a lot of attention because she is a woman and cute, but she will fail there too. And I guarantee that she will blame everyone but herself when that happens.

    • @TheCrazyMoparDude68
      @TheCrazyMoparDude68 12 годин тому +2

So true! I can’t understand why she is getting all of this attention. She really isn’t that great of a driver and there is nothing amazing about her racing career up until now. She did well in karts on dirt when she was younger, but as she got older and the talent got better, she just couldn’t compete. No woman will ever be successful in NASCAR because it is too physically demanding compared to most all other forms of racing. And her saying that the NASCAR drivers have it easier than the Indy drivers is one of the dumbest comments I have heard. You don’t need near the upper body strength and endurance driving an Indy car. And that is what many drivers that have done both have said in the past. An Indy race car is much lighter and requires less physical input. Even with the modern day NASCAR race car becoming easier to drive, it is still a handful and very demanding on a person physically. Of course she has never driven more than a 300 mile stick car race in the past, and didn’t do very well. Imagine her trying to run 500 or even 600 miles, she wouldn’t make it to the finish.

@@miketwotwenty she did just as bad in a top 5 truck team and you can’t say o it’s the trucks there different so is an ixfinty car and so is a NXT. If she was worth her weight or any of the drivers after that they could get in the car and tell them what it needs and that’s something you learn at a basic lvl. She isn’t even capable of telling them how she needs the car truck or whatever set up. But that’s what you get with a paid for driver. A crew chief isn’t the one that at the end of the day makes the car work. The driver tells him that. His job is to organize and achieve what the driver ask and what needs to be done with the rest of the crew to win.
