- Join us on this fast-paced adventure as we recap 65 bike trail rides from the first 4 years of our channel! This video marks a nostalgic journey through the places we've explored from coast to coast; many of which we might never have discovered if not for our channel and the enthusiasm of our expanding audience.
Our travels have taken us to iconic trails like the Great Allegheny Passage, C&O Canal, George S. Michelson Trail, Route of the Hiawatha, East Bay Bike Path, Olympic Discovery Trail, Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail, Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, Pine Creek Rail Trail, and the Erie Canal Trail; to lesser-know, but beautiful none-the-less trails like: the Mount Vernon Trail, the Island Line Trail, Ashuwillticook Rail Trail, Kokosing Gap Trail, North Bend Rail Trail, Niagara Falls Gorge Trail, Cape Cod Rail Trail, Crabtree Creek, High Bridge State Park, Lachine Canal in Canada, Rio Grande Trail, and the Moab Canyon Pathway, to name just a few.

We love taking the trips, so the travel is the easy part. Editing can be hard if neither Randy or I captured good video. But usually one of us has a good scene. Thanks for your very kind comments. Back in the day, when I was a youngster my dream was to major in photography at RIT! Wasn’t a path I took, but at least I can try to fulfill some aspect of that through this channel. Congrats on Episode 100! Great accomplishment and many memories made as you have pedaled your way to many destinations. Looks like you bought new bikes along the way. What was the main reason for the upgrade? Keep on pedaling and showing us great trails to ride an adventures to be had.
Thanks for your support of our channel. Seems like we've been so many places, but the list of where we want to ride is still very, very long!! The reason we upgraded our bikes to Gazelle Ultimate C8's are -- not in any particular order: (1) didn't totally know what we were doing when we bought the first ones -- found out they were Class 3 and not allowed in many places; (2) wanted to have a more upright ride rather than bending over the handlebars, (3) wanted more battery power so that we could ride longer distances on a single charge. e.g. -- We had our eye on a 3-day Great Allegheny Passage ride and would have had to take 5 days with our old bikes. Also, the bike has a Nexus 8 system -- eight gears are built into the rear hub of the wheel. They are protected against the wind and weather, and this reduces wear and maintenance. Combine this with a belt instead of a chain and your bike maintenance is kept to a minimum. You can also shift from a complete stop, which is really handy if you’re crossing a road and forgot to downshift before-hand. It has hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear fenders, a fully functional back rack and front shocks. Lastly, Gazelle is a brand that you can find in bike shops all over the country - making it easier to find service should you need it.
