How are you feeling now? Is the pain fully gone?

No pain in a very long time! Just had to do a lot to get to a point where intercourse was comfortable again. Pelvic PT + pelvic wand + vaginal valium suppositories (who knew?)

@@UndefiningMotherhood Glad to hear. I am thinking about the surgery since I cant live with a bulge in there. Did it take more than 6 months to have a normal intercourse again? Thank you for sharing all this. I am trying to motivate myself as it is really a very hard step! Bless you!

@@theearthling8178 For me, it took more like 9 months. BUT--I didn't advocate for myself strongly enough. They didn't want to give me vaginal valium because I was nursing, and that was honestly the thing I desperately needed. I tried pelvic pt and a pelvic wand some, but wasn't regular with it. Once I stopped nursing and they gave me the valium suppositories, the muscles released rapidly and things were back to normal within maybe 6 weeks. I should've pushed harder to get them earlier. But if you're not actively nursing, that won't be a problem. Also, I had a hypertonic pelvic floor before, which I don't know if you have. I also had a completely detached muscle they had to reattach, which made my recovery much worse than expected. So more than likely, your recovery will be quicker and easier than mine, and if you do get a really right pelvic floor as a result, you can likely also get your urogyn to support medical interventions that'll really help PT.
