  • We are delighted to announce a brand new device that will vastly improve the quality of your castings. This new pot can take about 10 ingots of metal from any of our alloys and will heat it beyond what a normal hotplate can handle. This results in better results and sharper details. There is also an addition of a bag of flux, to free metal trapped in dross.
Plus there is a special half price metal offer and a special discount on the pot itself.

How to answer your own question: Google the melting temperature of the gold you want to melt. Compare to temperature range mentioned for this device in the video. Now you don't have to ask completely unrelated questions in comments sections and you get your answer right away! Win-win! ;-)

One would assume not, as pewter melts at quite a low temperature however whilst in a liquid state, gold glows orange. This would indicate a far higher melting tempreture.

You could put a small crucible on a std. stove-top in your kitchen for two halves of one whole hula-hoop.
