I owned the SVS ultra center for about 2 years and never was happy with it. Sold it and bought a B&W HTM71 S2 and am really pleased with it. Better mid-range, more base and more dynamic range.
I own the Ultra Center and have been waiting for a side by side comparison. The Ultra center has exceeded my expectations. It's worth every penny I paid for it. Thank you.
I have the prime pinnacles and the prime center, I have debated on the ultra evolution center but I cant quite justify it as you said the prime center is pretty good. Instead I am thinking up upgrading my side surrounds to prime bookshelfs and putting the satellites (my current side surrounds) as rear surrounds (which I currently have none)
I noticed on SVS speakers and subwoofers, black wood grain vinyl wrap you can see the join of the vinyl wrap, on the underneath, no other manufacturer does that, so bit naff
Great review. Subscribed. Can you tell me would it be good to pair Prime center channel (ultra is 2x expensive in euros in my country) with Wharfedale L/R Evo 4.2 speakers and Marantz Cinema receiver? My setup is in is middle sized room. Thank you very much.
@@homecinemaking397 Already have EVO's and I'm not satisfied with my Wharfedale center channel. It is MTM configuration, and I've read that 3-way design , like this Prime or Ultra is much better. In my country Prime center is currently only 3-way center that is in my budget. So I was wondering would sound be to way off. Thank you for quick reply.
@@homecinemaking397 I don’t think so, Sound United was just purchased by Masimo corp. Def Tech just announced all new outdoor speakers and simplified their current lineup.
@@homecinemaking397 no probs, tbh, I like your content, because it's genuine, most UA-camrs are pushing Arendal, and everyone of them is pushing Kaleidoscape, looks like a lot of them, got bought out 🤣🤣🤣, I have a Zidoo myself, what media player do you own?
@@leatijoseph828 this is more to compare if its worth it to upgrade and what is more important to you. Myself i would go Ultra, but the prime is still very good.

Thanks. Nice comparison

Hello, can you do a comparison vedio for Klipsch Rp 504c 2 with SVS Ultra Center speaker...which one is better?
@@Audioenthusatic i have sold my 504c but it will come down to what L+R speakers you have and go with that. Both are good.

@@libertalian_8415 i would always try match the front stage with the same type of speaker, try the ultra bookshelf’s for fronts.

this comparison is not correct old svs ultra center than, prime sounds better ) you should compare old svs ultra center with new one, not prime center
