    The big question is: did he actually own some PCP he could sell? For if not, it was not a drug deal gone wrong but preplanned murder and a rediculously low sentence.

    Heartbreaking, it is very important to not just trust random people on the street, and go off with them alone, no matter how desperate you are for something. It is more understandable on account of his age that he was not wise to this lesson, just a young boy having a really good day with his friends, too trusting of people. There are sooooo many evil people out there, and its easy to make the mistake of thinking everybody is just wanting nice time and good vibes like you. I watch a lot of true crime documentaries like this, and this one particularly hurts my soul.

There they beat him to death, just for fun of it. That scared me as I know a couple of guys like that, just want to be everyone's friend and think everyone is essentially a good person. Thank for an interesting story. A 14 year sentence for such a brutal murder seems pretty light. However I recently met a retired LEO from the city of Albuquerque, NM and his statement to me was that a person convicted of a deliberate murder in New Mexico would likely receive a sentence of 10 to 12 years. Very depressing.

    • @chriscooke109
      @chriscooke109 2 роки тому +2

      The thing is it isn't that simple, humans do objectively enjoy taking substances to change how they feel and most substance use is recreational not problematic; even a glance at alcohol use amongst adults in the West shows that it isn't a small minority that like using something for a buzz. Drugs and there use isn't going away, when this is finally accepted the first step towards removing crime from drugs is removing the selling of them from criminals and regulating them to be sold from a fully licensed business, that is fully compliant with legislation. Users are exposed to dangerous criminals as they have no legitimate establishment to purchase from. Saying don't do drugs just ignores the reality that, as long as there are people, there will be those who use drugs.
