    2 murders and a bunch of attempted murders on police officers and they are still given a chance to get out?

    • @SelenaBrandt
      @SelenaBrandt 7 місяців тому +3

      The max u can get here and that’s only for first degree murder is 25 years to life and you only serve 2/3 of that maybe less on good behaviour

      No you’re wrong.
      First degree murder conviction is a mandatory 25 years in prison before parole ELIGIBILITY. Then if released on parole they’re on parole until they die and if they break the conditions of their parole they go back to prison. Another thing is most convicted of first degree murder don’t get released after 25 years, I think the average is 32 years before release but im not certain about that.
      For second degree murder conviction it’s also a life sentence but the judge determines the number of years before parole ELIGIBILITY.
      For all other sentences you do 2/3 of your sentence before being released on Statutory release but only if you didn’t lose any good time while doing time.
