It’s blasphemous to expect anything less from Dallas! ;) Dude inspires me so so so much. Because he LIVES through his craft. When you get to a certain level of skill, it takes a real creative mastermind to be able to live there and keep producing. Dallas’s style continues to morph and still retains the Nile foundation/passion. He is a fucking legend and the way he screams, the annunciation of his vocals, and showcased here, how fucking ABSOLUTELY dovetail tight he is!
I don't understand how Narcotic Wasteland isn't at the top of most people's lists. Honestly the mixture of thrashy and death metal riffing is greatly appreciated, especially in this world of boring bedroom virtuosos and artsy fartsy metal bands...
I think the music is pretty interesting, but the mix on the last album was super thin. This band also has no idea how to market themselves online. If your online presence isn't good and your sound isn't comparable to other bands doing similar things, you're going to go nowhere. It's just the state of how things work.
