I discovered Matteo and watched videos for maybe a week. I discovered Max shortly after and have not stopped listening to him after 2 months. Matteo might “technically” be better but he’s not the one I find most interesting to my ears. I definitely never seen a guitarist “better” than Matteo. He’s just not in my top 5 of guitarists I actually want to listen to. Max is in my top 5 and actually #1 at the moment.

He immediately reminded me of my nephew, Hugh-not a guitar virtuoso, but a neuroscientist, so quite bright. They share an ability to combine a physical/slap-stick joking moment with a dry-witted, dead-pan follow that adds a depth and intelligence to their playfulness. @CharcoalPencilPusher You must not play guitar or you'd understand there are literally not enough hours in the day for the vast majority of guitar players who have ever lived to even get half as good as Max.
I have been playing for twice as Max is old and I have THOUSANDS of more hours of practice than he does, and I would never get that good even if I practiced another 100 years.
You are sorely missing an element of talent and a natural gift for music which cannot be taught. What comes naturally to Max, and has, so early on, would take others far longer to grasp let alone duplicate, if they would even come up with the crazy phrasing and ideas in the first place.
When your hands can do anything your brain wants them to, you reach a certa level (mastery). To get past that, you need to have a creativity which far surpasses your peers and Max has that in spades.
He can already play anything that has ever been played, its WHAT he plays now, now HOW, that sets him apart.

Exactly... Its a phenomenal talent and skill wich is impressive but i could not listen to a 2-3 concert with that style of playing...
I miss the aggressiv aproach of other players who not have his talent, or bands who can do songs with just 2 chords wich are interessting enough that they don't suck even after hearing it 100 times...
      It's like yngwie for example...
A song or two is great, but a complete album or a 3 hour concert would be much too much noodling for me...
I sometimes feel like a song could be better with a less skilled player because his playing don't overshadows the vibe of the song...
If the whole purpose of a band is just to let the guitarist's shine, then It's another story...
