- In this episode we are creating a RC racetrack in my backyard!! I have a nice open grass hill that's perfect for a unique RC track. Watch the track come to life as we tear up the grass with a 24" Rototiller and rakes! From grass to dirt with a couple jumps the track really starts to take shape! Have an idea for the track drop a COMMENT below!! Be sure to SUBSCRIBE for future updates like track maintenance and the building of a drivers stand! Have a great day!
Cool results🎉
Thanks 😊👊

I've been seriously considering a backyard RC car track for some time now. One of my main questions are weed control on the track, and taking care of the infield areas. When a friend of mine had a MX track at his place we would weed whack every other week. Thank you for sharing your process.
Hello! That's exciting😄 so for track maintainece I created a drag. I used 2 metal poles and a chain link fence piece. I put heavy stones on the chain link and drag it behind my atv. This process hits and pulls weeds/grass. It also levels the course out nicely. I built Ramps instead of dirt ramps so that I can remove them and drag the whole track. I've stayed away from barriers and just mound dirt on edges. This way I don't have to weed wack I just riding mow the middle grass sections like every 2 months because my goats do a pretty good job keeping the grass down 🤣🤣
great hard work. congratts.
Thanks👊 it's been a fun process especially the testing part
Love to see a few race videos or clips. Good job.
I have one coming, like a little teaser showing some updates and couple hot laps. I will try film the next time I have a few people over to race!! ✌️
@@IRONSIDE_RC Let's go. Can't wait. I am doing something on a much lower level in my yard filled will trees and a slope.
@@RuToClose ouu that sounds cool!! It's a lot of work but it's so much fun to have a good track and get people together😀
Nice property
Thanks 👊 I appreciate it. 3 years here now and we love it!
I saw where someone put old carpet on their jumps to keep them from eroding. The racers carry dirt up onto the carpet and makes them dirt. Only downside is when there is a hard rain.
That's a good idea, I have seen that before on BMX dirt jumps. I think in the end I'm going to make wood jumps and maybe a table top!
You wanna race on this track, you gotta opt in shine work.... Take your shirt off...
Lol
🤣 I failed I guess. Only one that didn't😜
Would it been easier to have used a sod/grass remover instead of a rototiller?
To be honest not quite sure. Never used a sod remover before first time doing a track!
