My buddy had me watch this a couple nights ago while we were drinking. Damn near fell of my bar stool. Watched again sober. Still freaking hilarious. The random flying bike.....OMG......Twice!!
My favorite part was watching all the s*** fly off that weed wacker and thanks I always wondered what it sounded like with rocks hitting the side of a barn..
Hilarious but so true....spent a month putting together an outdoor R/C track, left it for 2 months and couldn't even see where it was. I used a tow behind sprayer with some weed killer from Tractor Supply and that worked really well but everyone wanted to race but very few wanted to help maintain it. Had plans to get a shipping container to use for storage with the drivers stand on the roof using an Ezy Up for shade. Drinking beer and R/C....two of my favorite things to do..great video!
We plan on adding a drivers' stand this spring. Don't need something as tall as a shipping container, though. Also, my racing buddies + beer + heights over 4 feet may not be good idea. LOL. Thanks for the comment.
Dude!!! Nice goin guys. I built a small track and faced the same issues. No tractor though. LOL. Never tried the organic stuff like Slater did. Too funny. Looks like a good time over there. Look me up if you need drivers. Hopefully not too far away. Cool vid guys
We set the track width about 8 feet in areas that are close to the drivers. The back half of the track where perspective gets more difficult the track is 9 feet wide.
I knew if I searched the comments someone else asked this same question I had! Haha, I am in the planning stages of a backyard course myself, and hope to start working on it tomorrow, but wanted some perspective on lane width sizes! Thanks to the asker and to Johnnie Hobby! Great content, I have subbed!
For 1/10 scale I recommend no narrower than 8 feet. Our track width varies depending on how far from the driver it is. The closer parts of the track are 8 feet wide, and areas in the rear further from the driver where depth perception isn't as good are 10 feet. The PVC track gauge you see in the video is 8ft long but has a 2-foot extension that we add to set the pipes on the backstretch.
@@johnniehobby ty for the reply I greatly appreciate it idk if youtube let's us post pics in comment section but if it does once I finish I'll reply with my track. I hope it comes out half as nice as this one.
What do you recommend on building a RC track without tearing up the dirt I thought about putting some tarps down and nailing them down to the ground and just taking some PVC pipe and trying to put it on there like make two holes and then zip tie if you see pipe down does to the zip tie I really don’t like the tarp idea but do you have any other ideas that you could think of that tearing the dirt up to make a RC track and not putting gravel as well or a plywood method work to just put a couple plywood down and drive on that and you’re so funny this video about the track where the track go i subscribed and liked this video and the bell is turned on
I'd suggest outdoor carpet (artificial turf). That's what's used on a lot of indoor tracks. It has high traction, it's very durable, and will last a long time as it's designed to resist water and UV light.
The best (and funnest) way to keep the track clear is simply to run your RC cars on it. Just that keeps most vegetation from starting growing. Take a break from racing for a week or two and it starts to come back. Not so bad in the middle of the summer when it's hot and dry but spring is the worst. Do nothing with it in the spring when temps are mild and lots of rain and you won't be able to see it anymore within a month. Best bet when you can't run on it regularly is get a backpack garden sprayer (about $25 from Harbor Freight) to apply vegetation killer every couple of weeks.
Didn't mean to come off like an a**, just telling you for view purposes and general success on youtube, takes a very specific type of personality to pull views from the comedy alone. Better off just giving the material to the topic. And my goodness, rid of that music in the future haha ! I liked it nonetheless.
@@christopherh6361 This isn't a "how-to" video. Just showing how much work it is to maintain an RC track, especially if it's been neglected for a few months and having some fun along the way.
Favorite part comes subtly at 8:10 when I spy Jason Voorhees! Haha bravo! Let's see at part 2 for this season!
This video is the definition of awesomeness
Glad you liked it.

Glad you like the vids, and welcome aboard.
That was the best RC video I have seen in 10 years thanks guys
You bet! Thanks for watching.
Great Job ..congrats
Well done
Beer dirt and RC cars... instant like!!! I'd like to see a video of me running my slash with you guys on this cool track. :)

HAHAHAAA,,,, Jason seems to want to help with his machete. This was great. Corny,, but great!!!!!!!! Loved it.
He does seem a bit lost, doesn't he? Actually it isn't Jason but Chet, our resident farm psycho.
nice track
Thanks!

Amazing and pretty funny moments there. How wide are your lanes of that track?
Average track width is 10 feet. Areas in the back are closer to 12 feet.
Nice track. Working on mine but central Texas heat can be brutal. We hit 100 already on June 9 2020. 00
Good luck with the heat. Send us pics when you have the track finished, we'd love to see it.

how wide do you recommend the track to be im about to build a track for my 1:10 scale slash and want to do it right
i like the pvc spacer and plan on making one but for my track just need to know how big lol

Nice video. Curious what's the width of your lanes? I'm building a track now (so much work) & am going with 9 ft lanes for 1/10 scale cars or smaller.
We try to keep it 10 feet all around but it does vary by a foot here and there.
Epic!
Guy that I had to comment absolutely fantastic video was laughing my ass off
So slot cars ✔️, Short Course Trucks✔️, Drone✔️. You guys into hot rods too?
Does my '96 Camaro Z-28 and Slater's '98 Firebird T/A count?

where is your track located?
Metro-Detroit area.
This is what I’m afraid of if I build a track...the Maintance!!!

You boys are a bit dramatic eh... drinking organic pee... really! Great video!
That was just a joke...it's not really organic.

Wtf was that intro lol
Less of the attempt @ comedy, reaching boys. Stick to the footage related to the topic. Trust.
