- In this Inkscape tutorial, we'll give a logo/text an embossed or engraved appearance, which would be great for something like a mockup or promotional presentation.

For anyone who would like to learn how to create the seal logo I use in this video (as well as learn another way to create a mockup/display), you can find the tutorial right here: ua-cam.com/video/6gsKat2r56o/v-deo.html
Hope you enjoy it!
Agreed ... excellent video! Also, I really enjoy when you offer both keyboard shortcuts and show where the functions are for those who don't use shortcuts.
Amazing! Looks top quality! Thanks for this :)
This is nothing but "pure skills"😎👍👌
thanks for these videos ! they are really helpfull
Great demonstration! Unfortunately this didn't work in my case. The HSB Adjust didn't want to darken the image. And when I darkened the image with Lighting and Contrast and set clip, the actual background image too would darken to the same shading. First I thought it had to do with my logo being in rough brush stroke style (vectorised), but even when I applied a clean circle object/path it would do the same. Maybe a bug? Sigh, I'll try again another time. And if this fails I will try this in Affinity Designer. It's a great design idea though! Thank you!
EDIT:
Okay, I re-imported the background texture image and did not play with recolouring. Just left it at this boring grey. HSB Adjust still didn't work, but I will able to achieve a similar effect with Lighting and Contrast. And this time the set clip worked. So partial success. No have to probably find another way to apply a colour filter
HSB Adjust or rather the whole of color extensions do not work one 1.3 anymore, on windows
Excellent video, greetings from Brazil!
Thanks a lot, and welcome!
First video of you that I watched and decided to like and subscribe. Excellent lecture. You deserve more subs.
Thanks!
Excellent, Brandon!
Thanks!
amazing
Excellent! Thanks for your videos.
Thanks a lot!
This is something great...
The tutorial is excellent, that's not a question. Only that it has the same "issue" as some of Nick's videos: the layers panel is not being shown while there are a tremendous number of layer operations going on. Sometimes it is not easy to see what exactly is going on in the video especially that the Inkscape 1.4 development version I am using seems to act a bit differently when converting text to path (it will not create group). As for the now (Inkscape 1.3+ ) broken Extensions >> Raster >> HSB Adjust, maybe we can use GIMP's Color >> Colorize AND Colors >> Brightness - Contrast features.
Excellent video. Having problems with designing using leather. Not getting clean lines.
why i in inkscape 1.3 could not blur the black line after set clip?
my difference tool is not working i have tried it 15 times please help
😔😔
Path --> Difference does nothing here. It doesn't cut out the black rectangle. I selected both the logo and the rectangle, chose Path and Difference and nothing happened. So frustrating.
I have a logo that has colours, is there a way to do. Can you use the same process for text.
Doing this with colors and text is a bit more complicated. I'll make a video about it.
The function “Difference” it’s not working here. I’m using a svg logo. Do you know why i can’t cut using Difference?
Difference only works between two single objects. If your logo has multiple separate parts, you will have to do Difference on each part that you want to cut (might have to ungroup (Object -> Ungroup) the logo first).
