I’m proud of her dad for knowing what JP did make her say was under 😢duress. They did not take that personally and that’s because they know Mica, JP never knew her. She had empathy, he had none. And never will.
Please put J.P in jail, the abuse is enough, before you even find out what else he may have been involved with, which I hope fully comes to light. Why also did the Robeson County police force not investigate better and care more? Why just close this case? These questions need to be dealt with too. This is a crying shame when even one poor woman had to fight as she did.

It is unfortunate that this was not the case and you in fact are not changing your heart. God gives grace to the humble - those who can turn around when clearly wrong - but resists the proud. Under the law of God J.P. is most certainly extraordinarily guilty for going directly in the face of everything God laid out in the treatment of a woman and a wife or any human being really. The God whom J.P liked to yap on about gaslighting and lying and twisting words, actually had a lot to say about the value of a woman. In reasonable human law this should also reflect as anyone with a brain and conscience combined can see this. If a law is worthless, change it to do good, did God not give man common sense. If you cannot see what took place despite mountains of evidence, it is because you do not wish to and your conscience is seared. I am following this case closely for a deep sorrow for Mica and I believe a rightful anger to what happened to her. You are clearly following closely too from a dark perspective that her life and the treatment of her was not worthy of much.

Yes. Yes. This is how victims of abuse are so often expected to behave in order to prevent violence against themselves or their families. My abuser rarely allowed me to contact my family, but when he did allow communication, he stood very near me and made sure to control the narrative.
My parents have passed in recent years, as has my abuser. All these years later, I still remember the sound of my Dad's voice on the other line as he allowed me to say those the horrible things I had to say to him while I sobbed. He quietly assured me that he KNEW that I loved him and my mother and siblings, and that it was me NOT saying those things.
I will never forget my father's voice breaking as told me he would drop the phone right then and drive straight to me and bring me home, if I would only tell him where I was. I ached for his big bear hug and my mother's soft hands, but I couldn't lead him into the darkness and danger where I was stranded.
We had many sad years of separation and hurt, but at the end we had a reunion and I was brought home safe. That is what you DESERVED to have with Mica. She DESERVED to come home, safe in this lifetime.
I am so deeply sorry - more than words can expres -, that your reunion with your beautiful sweet daughter Mica must wait until another time and place, beyond this one. I know it is small comfort in the face of the tremendous and unbearable grief of her unnecessary and tragic death... but as you know, she is held by the angels now, and forever and always safe from this sick and ruthless abuser that calls himself 'pastor'.
