I have the same car, just the S60 and I don't get any pops and crackles! I am super jealous. Maybe cause I went with the IPD downpipe instead of 8fab? Or because its Hilton tuned instead of RICA? Either way, its not fair lol. Going to get Dyno numbers for my stage 2+ Hilton tune. Cant wait to compare to your numbers. Keep the great vids coming.
I'm so excited for this video and parts II and III. Do you know if a better battery tender would have kept your battery charged? I feel like some of these tenders are only made to maintain the battery or slowly charge it when the car is off and not with any sort of draw on the battery.
Lol no, I've had the hat and glasses since Carlisle in May. I always get the glasses when I can though. Literally the best throwaway sunglasses I've ever seen.
I have a 2011 Volvo S 60 T6 downpipe DO 88 front mount in the cooler IPD 3 inch downpipe, a waste gate and recirculation valve upgrade from Viva performance IPD, rear sway, bar, light, weight rims, koni shocks, Eibach springs titanium, lugs, and stud conversion, and a custom-made pole star intake that I made myself. It’s a replica of the one that’s on the pole star site of our T6 motor. not dynode, but also I’m running the IPD P3 tune and the ultimate nine pedal commander. My car is also lowered and it is plastidip. All work was done by me. Oh also ignition coils from Viva performance and a k&n air filter. so yes, I am dying to hear your performance numbers. My next step is to put a exhaust cut out after the resonator and maybe a E 85 conversion but I need to do more research on that.
@builtforspeed has been messing around with his S60 with various modifications and found the true limit appears to be max 29 PSI of boost on stock internals. He thinks he recently damaged the piston rings and now his engine has a ton of blow by (where having the oil cap off will show it just blowing out air like an exhaust pipe)
The battery tender only outputs 3amps, which is nowhere near enough to keep a battery charged with the ignition turned on. Also, replacing the battery was unnecessary, all that was needed was to charge it back up fully. It also looked like the ignition wasn't fully turned on in the beginning so I wonder if that's why it took so long. Now that the new battery is in there, I'm pretty sure there's a registration that needs to happen to tell the car it was replaced.
@@tdevans11 There are plenty of battery chargers that will, but tenders by nature do not typically output a ton of amps. The one we have at work is rated for up to 60amps and is meant for programming use if needed.
I am trying to get my car to sound the same as your beast, I just don't know how? I have a 2015 S60, with a downpipe, full exhaust but I cant get the crackles like you got!! Is it because you have the true polestar and not just the tune or is it something else. Let me know your thoughts. Love the channel man!
Very excited for the dyno numbers! Do you know if this is Rica Stage 2? I know Rica recently released a transmission tune as well- did you add this on top of the power tune? Thanks man
Can’t wait for you to dyno it again with the tune I’d love to know how much whp it picked up. I’m on the fence of picking up a v60 with the 2.0 and the 8 speed I know it doesn’t sound as good as the I6.
Don't buy the 2.0. Why too many issues. Lots of guys on the forum having supercharger issues and othe problems. The inline 6 is bulletproof, smoother, more refined, and very reliable.
I wanna say, that charger was WAY to small, when you gonna have igniton on you need atleast 15amp so it gives more then it use. And also i have autotuner and could have done this in 30-45min, but if its work its work, but 8hours to read out/unlock or whatever is insane xD
Easy! Shift it into sport mode, use paddle shifters, in 2nd/3rd/4th/or 5th gears build revs to around 2500-3500RPMs, the feather the throttle with about 1” of travel quickly almost like you’re tapping the accelerator pedal. Enjoy the crackles😬
Yes the tune cleared the CEL for the downpipe. It doesn't overwrite the Hilton tune. I had to flash that back to stock before doing the RICA tune. You should ALWAYS be on stock tune before flashing a new one.
Imagine if these cars came out with double clutch transmission, would be insane!
Anyone else notice the subscribe button lighting up as he told us to subscribe??
Yeah its a new feature
I literally had the same experience yesterday after tuning my 2.0. Amazing 👏
What company did you use to tune your 2.0l? Thanks
@@isaiahshamar rica
@@odiespankers07 Thanks
Is your 2.0 stock? Or do you have supporting mods for the Rica? Also, did you do the trans tuning as well?
@@Staatus_Quo kn filter, poly engine mounts. And suspension mods. That's it.
I just put my car on Rica stage 2 tune + transmition, and it is insane 💪

ipd downpipe is 3" vs 8fab or kt4 is 3.5"

Are you running with traction control off in sport mode?
Do you have Elevate intake? Also BMC air filter?
In retrospect it likely wasn't the tender, it was likely the battery itself. Volvo gave me a flooded one when the car needs AGM.
TC off and sport mode, yes. No other mods other than the DP and tune.
did you also raid the fcpeuro booth at gridlife last weekend?

Are there some tenders out there that will support the battery with the ignition in position II (accessory mode)?

Man.. makes me want to dyno the 2.0 now that I have the Rica tune
I wish I used a better box for ya. Love my Jack Links though lol.

Does it clear the check engine light from the downpipe? Also does it over write the hilton
Im wondering this also, looking to buy the downpipe and this tune.

Awesome. Did you buy the Rica loader used from someone or is that how it came?
What’s in the box?!
Why not just buying an E46 M3 instead of making a Volvo close to be like a E46 M3 ? I like my Polestar 3.0 how it is to be honest
