(082) Scenario Customer Snapped Key In Lock Due to Door Misalignment

Weve been asked in the past to put some scenarios onto video, so this is one were the customer had snapped a key in the lock due to the door being misaligned with the keeps. Without adjusting the door no doubt the key would snap again over time.

Nice diagnoses of the problem. We just don't see these type of doors here. Being able to adjust the hinge with just an allen key is a whole lot easier than the bashing of the hinges I have had to do. Good to see the type of problems tou come across at work, thanks for this video, cheers

Just shows a bit of knowledge here fixes the job. It's amazing just how many upvc doors go out of alignment.

Thanks I had a similar issue a while ago. I've not seen any videos where it shows how to align the keeps. Is it a case of grinding down the area where the keep sits by a few millimetres and then re-screwing it back in?
