Nice to see things are slowly getting back to the ‘new normal’. Went on the big roller coaster last year and couldn’t stop laughing and screaming. Brought back some lovely memories. Thanks for sharing😀😀
Watching this really shows me how much I have missed coming to great Yarmouth during the pandemic I would've have been twice here on holiday and one of those holidays would've been last week for 18th birthday and to see the summer spectacular at the glorious hippodrome circus. I will be so happy when this is all over so I can come back to my all time favorite place that in the near future I want to live. Watching this made me quite emotional I've been coming here since I was like 3 and all these things are going to be in my heart forever
Oh such a shame we did not get to see the snail ride going. I held my breath with anticipation when you stood by the rails. It was my favourite ride when I was a kid. Glad to see the spinning tubs though - happy memories. It made my day. Cheers.
Thankyou for these videos great memories for me I lived in oulton broad now live in Penzance cornwall! Miss great yarmouth soo much! Loved the snails when I was little would love to bring my grandchildren to joyland, and great yarmouth market just for the mushy peas in China dishes and mint sauce, love your videos thankyou x

nice video informative, great to see great yarmouth open for business. last time i was in great yarmouth was in 1982, the pleasure beach was known as Button Bros. glad to see joyland and the snails still operaring
Really enjoyed that video, really got me in the holiday mood, we go for 9 days in 4 weeks. I'm really glad you showed the Pleasure Beach, we always go, my son hates to queue up, he's autistic so this will be great for him.
The closest I'll get to Hemsby and Gt. Yarmouth this year. We'll be over again from Ireland next year though. Thanks for doing a great job of reminding us what we're missing every week (and twice this week!). Your enthusiasm for everything along this bit of the coast (high brow and low brow) is infectious. Cheers!
I love Yarmouth it’s a good family holiday I always go every year and stay in Hopton there’s loads to do from what you showed today on your video, also a zoo and The Norfolk-broads plenty to do there , great video and very good filming 👌🥂
when I went Great Yarmouth last year I really wanted to go in the fun house but I didn’t get time to. So thank you for going in the fun house and showing!😁😁
Awesome! Went GY 2 years ago and got ran over by those £1 cars by Pleasure Beach. Saw the bravery of you on the rides lol. Joyland is amazing and those tubs are something else... didn't go on anything at Pleasure beach but would do next time... looking good over there!
Hi Tim this was great i love great Yarmouth. Been holidaying there on and off since I was a child. So many memories of the rides and attractions. Thanks for sharing with us love Tracey xx
Fantastic Video Tim. I think you have excited many people about the re opening! I’m there in 2 weeks for a long weekend so I can’t wait to visit that upside down house!
At last, got to see the upside down house as you mentioned it in many videos but I didn't know which one! Not many resorts have 2 piers, but helps they don't stick out in the sea!
Great to be able to see around the attractions without having to pay! Thanks. I thought you were wrong in saying the Tubs ride was now unique as I used to ride one in Southend-on-Thames when I was small, and it was still there a few years ago. But I looked the place up and indeed it is no more. I go to bed wiser than when I woke up, always a good thing.
I'm not gonna lie, these videos have been quite helpful for me, just because I'm just not ready to start going over the bridge again just yet, so thank you for this! It's nice to see how the industry is doing in town too :)
Great to see Yarmouth open again Tim, we are staying in Belton this August and it's always a must to visit Joyland and Pleasure Beach, I've had a look at the prices for the 3 hour session at Pleasure Beach and is excellent value for money, great vlog as always Tim 😀👍
GREAT YARMOUTH | The fourth WORST seaside in the UK? 0757am 14.6.23 anyone thinking about aspects of yarmoth - whether it's weighing up the virtues of the various rides available in the pleasure beach or the joys of eateries is gonna sound like partridge - in their own heads... i enjoyed yarmouth as a kid. yarmouth is the proper pronunciation as opposed to great yarmouth.
Brilliant as always wish I was there only one complaint you went in joyland and didn't go on the snails 😂😂 even I go on them I remember when I was about 12 meeting cannon and ball on Britannia pier x
Does anyone remember the huge Bumpy Slide, that used to be up the far end of the Pleasure Beach? And... the huge Helter Skelter, that used to end in a wooden "bowl" area, set into the ground?
We have a wooden squirrel bowl just like the one in the upside-down house. Well spotted. We just keep trinkets in there. Also, I thought that I must not be British enough to recognize Alan Carr's laugh, despite 24 years of living here. Then you said Jimmy Carr (his brother, LOL) and, yes, I knew exactly what you meant.
Really enjoying your videos, thank you for making them. Some suggestions for new video’s are Ormesby St Margaret (especially Wapping), Caister’s Roman site and Burgh Castle

I remember being in a rowing boat on my own, with my Mum and Step-dad in another rowing boat, and I made my Mum laugh, because I kept having problems keeping my oars in place, and called out "I keep loosing my rowlocks" :-)
That Coaster is not the only one of its kind in the uk, There is also one in Dreamland in Margate that also has a brake man its called the scenic railway and is older than the on at Yarmouth its the UK's oldest Coaster, allthough some of it had to be rebuilt after a fire.
Great video Tim,I have watched it 3 times.I love Great Yarmouth but I haven't been able to come here for 7 years.Anyway, back in the early 90s we had a great time at the Battle Boats, shooting the boats and the targets which caused an underwater explosion.Lovely days.By the way is the Arnold Palmer putting green still there?
Great video Tim! Thanks - always makes me feel nostalgic for the family holidays we had in the area, in the 1970s (yes, I know it has changed a lot since then). We try to get up to Great Yarmouth at least a couple of times a year, even for just a "day trip". Those little round cars, with the padded bumpers... are they the ones where you can fire a "gun" at the other cars, and if you hit the target, you make their car go into a spin? They used to be under the Monorail... loved those (they might have been round "boats" instead of cars)!
6:38 I don't recall whether there was a ball pit, but all those moving floors look exactly as I remember ^_^ 13:40 Indeed they did - one year I came off one of those slides with a very nasty burn on the back of my leg (fortunately, 'twas the last day of our holiday so didn't spoil things too much). Keep up the videos I heard about them from watching Kate Mcabe's cannel good intro you did for her catch you later really enjoying your blogs .
Great Yarmouth looks like there’s lots to do there - the pleasure beach looks more my cup of tea than Blackpool (I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to roller coasters!)
You say that the Britannia pier doesn't stick out to sea. It used to though, at least half of it was in the water. I think they bulldozed loads of sand onto the beach.

love the video nice walk about
Thanks peter
Great stuff again nowt like a English holiday
Glad you enjoyed it
Great Yarmouth looks like there’s lots to do there - the pleasure beach looks more my cup of tea than Blackpool (I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to roller coasters!)
You say that the Britannia pier doesn't stick out to sea. It used to though, at least half of it was in the water. I think they bulldozed loads of sand onto the beach.
nope there was a bit extra to the pier that they removed
