- This is how to clean your oven like a pro in 5 minutes. I will show you step by step cleaning a very dirty oven into one that looks new using selleys oven clear net. Usually you can use natural ingredients to clean the oven such as bi-carb soda or vinegar however when the oven is as dirty and heavy grease like this oven was a chemical may be the best way. In this video i use sellys oven cleaner which works very well and for the price its unbelievable. Im sure most other oven cleaners should work just as well. These days I go to UA-cam when I have a task to do that I don’t do very often, like clean my oven. So I’ve just watch the video and now I’m ready to go and clean my oven. Thank you for the video.
i use youtube to survive my every day chores because i have no longer brain to think or come to solutions by myself
@@e36fanatics
As is evidenced here! Lol
How did it go?
You know about 10 years ago somebody gave me tamales and I wasn't sure how to eat them so I had to look it up on UA-cam
I totally get what you're saying bc I do the same thing!! Unlike some people in the comments who want to be total a--holes 🙄
Put the grille on top of the tray, then spray both at the same time. Less spray wasted 👍🏻
Good tip!
One would have thought that that was obvious :-) better still is to get a large clear industrial strength bin liner and place all trays rack and grills inside along with a generous dose of the chosen cleaner.
Great add
Top tip
I used to put mine in a garbage bag and then spray. I sealed it up and would let it sit overnight if it was bad enough. Then I could just rinse it off in the morning!
THANK YOU !!!
Dollar Tree has very thin SHOWER CURTAINS. I place one under the area that I am cleaning. It catches liquids and debris. Then, just fold it up and throw it out.
What a waste!
My 1st thought. Damaged a floor before.
Newspapers would be less wasteful.
I'd keep the gloves on to prevent any burns from the chemicals used.
Just a small tip, large items like the rack can be washed in the shower room. It's even nicer as your shower can put out very hot water. Also if the hose is long enough you can rinse right near the drain.
Yep, I do it in the bathtub, then I don't need to be careful not to make anything wet that shouldn't be and the shower head is just perfect to rinse it, everything that is big I clean like that.
That's why you should always go with the big single base sink. I rented an apartment while I was remodeling a home I bought from a hoarder. The apartment had the usual double bay sink. Never going back to that! You don't need a special sink bay to dry dishes if you simply have a dish drying rack.
My goodness, why wreck your shower or bathtub and have that mess to clean up.
@@allyelly1519 My sentiments exactly Ally. The grease alone would be murder to get out
Wow, you really did all the cleaning of the oven and the racks and trays i 5 min. amazing talent
you ever heard of video editing bud? ;)
This is the best oven cleaning video on UA-cam!
Best oven cleaning video I've seen and it's a guy doing it. Thank you!
One of the worst mistakes I ever made was cleaning an oven without gloves. My hands went all shiny and hard like plastic, then they cracked and they were very sore for like a week. I've since learnt that oven cleaner is also an excellent paint stripper!
I did that too! 😭 It was painful!
Oh wow. Thanx x2 😬
So quick and easy. But couple a few things I would've done differently is, save water and paper towels, plus moving the side rails, when spraying and then clean again using vinegar and baking soda over, to get rid of the smell and chemicals that's been used in the oven
My tip is if you shut the oven door try to stuff some kitchen roll along the gap at the bottom of the door where it meets the oven, as the gunk runs down the glass when closed makes a mess. Tbh I think it’s better if you leave the door flat, it bakes on better
Thankyou so much for this video.
Quick, easy and to the point.
Bloody legend!
Who'd a thunk it!! fold the kitchen towel to get into the corners!! Take off gloves to wipe up the chemicals..This really is enlightening stuff.
Fantastic, this is obviously a magic oven, now as a housewife of 50 years !!! wow, yes, I'm over 70 - WHAT MAGIC OVEN has no back, and no top. Remember if you have used chemicals, make sure you switch the oven on and the grill in a well vented room to burn off the chemicals before you next use it, since THEY WILL ALWAYS SMELL.
When cleaning a ‘magic oven’ you can also leave the door on & the rack sides in place...oh & don’t forget to remove your PPE half way through cleaning ( everyone loves chemical burns , right?) 🤪🤡🤣
None of the cleaning videos ever show how to clean the back and the top. Just the door, sides and bottom!
Cheers mate.... off to clean my oven now!
Sorted!
Great video. Short and to the point. Thanks for sharing.
You made it look easier than it really is. Appreciate this video. I need to buy a mask!
For those who have self clean on oven....or a special coating inside oven beware that if you spray any harsh chemicals in oven it goes against the instructions in your appliance manual and will void the warranty on your oven.
You should never take off chemicals, especially those coming from a can that says poison, with just dry paper towels. You need to get a bucket of hot water and a microfiber cloth and wipe the chemicals off. You don't want to start your oven with the residual chemicals in there
I think he said to use lemon juice and water to get the rest off
Very good point
Thanks Mary, good looking out 👌
I've never cleaned an oven before.. it's clean now! c: very helpful guide
Make sure you have all doors and windows open. These cleaners are great but you need to be careful some people are more effected by the fumes than others. I know this to my cost i will be sticking to lemons and elbow grease after a trip to the ER
Best cleaning channel I've found. Made my life so much easier. Thank you.
Agreed
It’s very nice clean 👍thank you
I would have sprayed the grills, then the oven. Then scrubbed and washed and dry the grills, by then the oven would have been ready to scrub.
We clean the racks in the laundry tub. Also we use mr muscle non caustic. Pop the wire rack over the grill tray and spray to save product. 😊
Man you were right on time. I was going to clean my oven. When I stumbled on to your video. That same day thanks for the modavation to get it cleaned.
Room should also be well ventilated. I put my oven shelves and fittings in the dishwasher!
Incredible job!
That is fantastic stuff, Bill. Thanks mate.
👍
Good job
How satisfying to watch
Beautiful done. Thx. 😊
May I suggest? I remove the door, it's so much easier to reach inside, and It'd surprise you how easy it is, just check out the model.
That's a good idea. I used to clean restaurant ovens and that's what I would do. Plus I'd take it and the racks outside and use a power hose to rinse it all ,leave it out to dry and you're done.
Fast,I work as a cleaner and ovens take a lot longer. Here in London,I use Mr Muscle Oven Cleaner and a steam scourer to get the ovens clean, particularly the back of the oven and metal trays.I certainly use more than one can.Liked the finish off idea with a lemon smelling spritzer.
Cool video of real life hacks.
👍
People who make videos don't make you suffer through things like waiting for the cleaner to do its job or make you watch every wipe and swipe. It would be boring and tedious.
I'm pretty sure the instructions say to rinse at the end. You don't want all those harsh chemicals in there when you go to cook in it. I'd also recommend to keep gloves on the whole time, gloves come in different sizes so buy the one closest to your hand size. Another tip is to put some paper towels in the bottom gap of the door as some will escape and drip onto the floor but if your worried about that getting missed then I recommend putting some newspaper down on the floor in front of your oven. I liked the scrubbing idea in the oven itself, I normally just wipe it, I do scrub the pieces that come out though. Lastly, always read the directions on the back of the can and happy cleaning to some great music!! 😊
Loving the word POISON on the top of the can: that's the cleaner for ME to put in my oven.
I would say, NOT!!
Heat oven up after it's been cleaned, burn off the chemicals and smell.
I clean ovens for a living. This is a really poor clean. The side panels were not taken out so fat will be behind them. The back panel was not taken out and cleaned behind along with the fan. You can also take the door of and split and clean in between the glass. Just pay a professional oven cleaner to do it. Honestly its the best money you can spend. I have cleaned over 10,000 cookers so I no what I am talking about
I agree, I damn sure haven't done 10,000 but I have done at least 500 and if you want it clean ,take apart EVERYTHING!
Watching this after the bottom of my oven caught on fire lol
Great job
The oven is filthy but the kitchen is immaculate, my mind can't compute 😂😂
After wiping the door lift it straight up to remove it so you can clean inside the oven easily
Thank you! 😍Thank you much!! 😉😘
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! (Off to Bunnings I go!)
Thanks for sharing Bill! Can you share a video of how to install skirting to a room with brick walls please? I would like to install them in my kids rooms. Thank you!
Definitely a subscriber now. Thank you for the video. 😁
Great. Now that youve done that one, can you please do mine?👍😛😛😛😛😛
It would help to include how to deal with the heating elements.
I totally agree
As a cleaner we normally don't touch them beyond maybe a wipe with a degreaser.
@@aidanm5578 My concern is whether oven cleaner would damage the elements.
@@dianemeyers222 Nah it doesn't at all. But when spraying the oven you try to avoid them anyways. But if you do get them, we just do the aforementioned wipe with a bit of degreaser.
thank you Bill! my job for later
Brilliant but here in 🇬🇧 it says on the can open a door or window for ventilation.
Where in England did you find it please. I am in London and I have tried everywhere for the product, including EBay and Amazon. Is there an equally good alternative?
Watching it so satisfying
5:55 so there you go quick way to clean your oven - took about 30mins
Titles the video - how to clean your oven in 5mins lol
still liked the vid 👌 great content
Your wife is lucky :)
Well done and thanks for the video
You’re very welcome 👍
Thanks angel
My oven is about to be spotless. Thanks pal.
Super hack.... soak the rack in a drain crystal solution overnight. They come up like brand new.
All that needs to be said is you're the fucking man!!! Thanks bro my jobs are now way easier
Takes a lot more than 5 minutes to do a good job.
Exactly!! It takes hours and is the worst job in the world!! I hate it!!!
@@wendynicholss6886 Shouldn't take hours. I can do an oven in 30-40 mins, but I have a fair bit of experience.
Like new good job. I'm now ready to dive in... 👌
Cook your meat and poultry in oven roasting bags , saves alot of oven spashes when roasting.
Fantastic my dear son. I need to clean my oven, and you've solved my problem. thank you.
Thank you
WOW!!!! Amazing and so quick. Where can I find this product in America? Does anyone have any solutions or dupes? Thank you so much for this :)
@billshowto
This is great! Thank you. How do you clean the top of the oven where all the exterior is attached, and around the fan on the oven? Also, there are still some more stubborn gunk in my oven, any tips to remove these?
Bill you could be rich cleaning everyone's ovens on here lol
I would avoid using a metal scraper on the glass door as that can scratch the glass. A nylon non-scratch scourer is much safer. Avoid steel wool, as that can scratch enamelled surfaces. Allow the degreasing chemical time to do its work to soften the burnt-on food and fat.
Scraper can be used on glass just fine. I've used it on oven glass, shower glass, windows etc with no issue.
Scrapers are perfectly fine to use provided the surface is wet, great for cleaning ovens and cleaning soap scum in showers
I’ve never had scratches from a blade, and I use a blade to clean my glass stove top!
Liked this, can you do a demo of how to clean inside radiators please.
Nice. They do make oven liners for this. But love this 5 minutes. Great 👍
Thanks Bill, great demo. I guess not to let an oven become as filthy as in the sample, would be preferable. Will give the 'Serlly's' a try. Cheers, George
Most oven doors can be removed, which makes cleaning much easier.
great video bro.
Why not spray the racks while they are in the oven instead of taking them out and spraying the chemicals all over the sink?
Thank you sir 😊
👍
Thank you for video.
It's killed me how you used and ditch the first paper towel 🥲 but very informative 👌
Great job, very easy thks for sharing
👍
Amazing!!
Thanks!
Excellent
How do you do it if you live in a country that you can’t get this product from?....that’s an amazing product!
Just watching the spraying made me cough, won't buy this dangerous chemical
Wow!
I wouldn't mind you coming to clean my oven! 😂 I've had to take a little break because it's hard work when you don't have the rights tools! 😉
I have a Corian countertop that got scratched by a repairman's tool box. Relatively deep scratches. I tried using 0000 steel wool and it brought them down a bit but now the whole countertop has fine scratches everywhere I worked. I would like to restore the surface to its original look.
Was that a plate or spring reverb you used to make this video?
Well done fella great video
Amazing 👌
👍
A wet microfiber cloth is better then paper towels as it's time consuming using paper towels
Oh.. i wonder if i can find something like that here in Denmark
You can use a Qtip too go in tigh spots as well as your refridgeratorvwhen you take shelves out to clean and yes when l am finish cleaning oven I take windex and shine it up inside and it good for extra cleaning what you may have missed. Who woyld let a oven get that filthy dirty??? Not Me
Just be careful of overspray on the floor 👍
How do you stop getting runs in the oven glass please 🙏
Thank you! What if your stove has an element in the bottom?
Don’t spray the element. Chemicals are bad for it. It should lift up to get it out of the way. Spray around it.
Very difficult to avoid the element if you’re spraying it. I find you have to hold it up and wipe around it. Doesn’t get it all but at least most of it.
I have a mini oven with elements at the bottom I’m guessing I should cover then with foil but I’m leaning towards getting rid of it. Honestly the tine and energy is it worth it, especially when you aren’t well.
I’ve never seen anyone ever use just one paper towel at a time …. 😳
LOL - I tear them in half!
Can I buy this stuff in England. Have not heard of it.
It looks like the equivalent of mr muscle oven cleaner to me, except I think you would have to leave it overnight if your oven was that bad.
Nice one but nothing about top oven when you have the grill element on your way
Removing the door makes it easier on your back. Trust me 😁
How do you remove the door
Good job! There was a lot of chemicals used so what's the best thing to do before using again? Turn the heat on for half an hour to get rid with or without door open? What do people suggest? Thanks :)
I always roast some beef bones in the oven to get rid of the chemical odour, but don't use the bones for anything afterwards.
Is this available in the UK?
