Same. Having adblockers enabled everywhere and not using social media like Tiktok, Instagram or Twitter grants you a blessful ignorance about much of the nonsense out there.
How this is not illegal, is baffling. As the comapny, THEY are responsible for all of their marketing and sales force. THEY have to approve marketing material, presentations, the claims made, etc. If any of those connected to their MLM make misleading statements, then those are statements from the company. There should be no defense or disclaimer that protects them from that. Just because you disclaim something, doesn't mean you can act completely contrary to it. That's absurd, completely ludicrous!
“Unfettered Capitalism” Caused by deregulating consumer protections, rolling back regulations for MLM’s (by former Dept of Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos), people that know that as long as they include in the “fine print” that this company is immune from being sued should the device not work… As well as allowing vague pseudoscience to infiltrate ACTUAL scientific studies by religious evangelicals who believe conspiracy theories that the Covid vaccine has microchips in it… All of those, allow these scams to propagate and as regulations get rolled back, more of them are going to pop up, with the sole purpose of preying off peoples gullibility and desperation.
@@timotheegermes468 Then the law is just shit. That's why it's baffling. If a sales force is either part of your company or acts on behalf of you, you should be responsible for what they do. This of course also means that you have a responsibility to check and know that the sales force does not act in direct opposition to you. You SHOULD be liable for this IF you can't proof due diligence on your part to make sure they only act in your mission and interest. Of course if the sales force tries their hardest to act against you while they can hide it from your checkup, then you did due diligence and shouldn't be liable, cause you were deceived as well. That's the thing. Such systems and strategies already exist. It's not magic. But it's clear that here there is every intent of obfuscation and confusion from the company itself, which they should be liable for.
The issue here is proving Intent, when all you have is 'a wink and a nod.' When I was younger and going through High School I was taught how to collect Data. At one point I realized how to cook said data, even though it wasn't the subject matter, by asking a single question: what happens if you do it 'the wrong way.' The teacher simply said 'don't do that' and moved on, as if that would have stopped me from experimenting on my own. It did teach me valuable lesson on trusting Statistics though, if I can make them dance so easily then anyone can...! To bring it back to context, same thing is happening here: The company only has to say to the sales team 'don't do this thing that will make you lots of money....' They produce all those legal documents and disclaimers knowing that their sale teams are filled with people like me, who will question what happens if you do it 'the wrong way.' There will be more then enough lacking the moral compass though, who will only hear 'this will make you lots of money...' and be sold that the wrong way is in fact, grand. Those are the people who have no qualms teaching others, cause it is a multi-levelled thing in the end, that they should do it the wrong way too. When the main company is called out on it they point to the paperwork they produced and say: We told them not to... it is all their fault, punish them! At that moment, with only the paperwork to go off, it really will look like they tried to do everything to prevent this outcome. Their version of events will be accepted by the government and, at worse, they get a small fine for not being careful enough in their education. Not unless someone comes forth with evidence showing otherwise, the wink and the nod given as they explained this to people, will they be punished for the fraud they created. Oh, and if I sound bitter: Companies do this all the time, a 'wink and a nod' as they tell their sales team what not to do.
I'm often tremendously amazed that people believe devices like this would work. Forget that it claims to heal so many things, let's start with questioning how can such a small device can, say, cure your fever, and with what, "frequencies"?

@@timotheegermes468 quantum field theory is certainly a thing - a field is nothing else than an operation which associates a value to every point on space. For example, the temperature distribution in a room would be a field. Best thing to me is that there is no such thing as a "frequency" as a standalone term. You can have e.g. an electromagnetic field with a frequency, or a sound wave with a frequency. But a statement like "harmonize body frequencies" or "add frequencies to water" should sound the bullshit-alarm any time.
I was diagnosed 20 years ago with MS, and I've seen it all with this type of garbage. MS, it's highly variable from person to person. Some people have few symptoms and episodes and they can be mild, but with others it can be a near constant and rapid downward progression to disability and eventually death. I'm somewhere in the middle, not the best case scenario, not the worst, but pretty awful and it was certainly worse in the first 6 years after diagnosis as compared to now. I've seen Montel Williams selling blenders all-liquid diet scams, "doctors" in Scandinavia selling their fish only diet books, other strange diet fads, healing crystals, incense, marijuana or marijuana extracts, diluted homeopathic trash, special surgeries to widen the arteries in your neck and carry a high risk of sudden death, etc. and of course this crap. It's all garbage, none of it works. Those that claim to be "cured" are just lucky and are experiencing a prolonged remission, and for some people they may never relapse again in their life. I mean, generally, anecdotal evidence is piss poor proof of anything, but with MS it is utterly meaningless given the high variability of disease progression from person to person. The people selling this crap to desperately ill and dying people and marketing it as a cure, deserve a fate worse than death. Eternal damnation and burning in hell is not enough for these assholes. Your best and only bet for treating MS is to find a real neurologist, hopefully one that specializes in the treatment and mitigation of MS, and find out which drug combination works for you. We live in the time of monoclonal antibodies, and right now because of that, people are living longer and living with less disability. That is the one and only thing that has meant a significant change in the lives of people with MS in the last 15 years. If that doesn't work, I'm sorry. There are options for suppressing the hell out of your immune system, and of course steroids when you have new lesions on the brain and spine but that, though shitty, is far and away more effective than giving your money to con artists and scammers.
Just tried to do the complaint for the US and it's pretty complicated and convoluted. I see why nobody ever makes formal complaints about these organizations, it's just to dam hard to.

I got to know the Healy from seeing a german documentary about it a few months ago. And just recently i saw that my aunt has one of these things xD. Really looking forward to the 2nd part now. It would be great if you could also publish this on your german youtube channel.
I am lucky that before my severe chronic pain developed, I was already very aware of MLMs and generally how to find false advertising. My pain is constant and severe to the point of I'd pay about any price if it means getting even some relief. But if you look around at the products offered from most of these companies, nothing is ever as it seems. I didn't get sucked into a path of trying these random health things, even though my mother did. I'm grateful I knew how to spot these things ahead of time, or else we would have put ourselves into horrible financial positions looking for any relief.
I don't know it! Let's say, people just like weird shit that they don't understand, because it seems like a very powerful thing, if there is "the information of the universe" or something like that involved... Ask flatearthers, they will believe everything, as long as the lying authorities claim that it's wrong...
I'm from America, I've never heard of this device, I spent more time on youtube than I'd like to admit but I still never saw this product. I don't spend a lot of time on tiktok, reddit, or twitter.
They are using the despair of sick people to make money. Disgusting doesn't even come close to what this is. It makes me sad to see so many people fall for this scam but they are desperate. Maybe they already tried everything they could and nothing did help so they clutch at any straw they find. Sometimes I really hope there is a hell for people like the "inventor" of this device...cause everything but hell is way to good for them.
Despite the healy seeming to make appearences all over the internet, this is the first time I've ever heard of it, which is sursprising considering how much effort they seem to put into the marketing.
Fern is my new favourite channel, the amount of effort and research put into these videos are incredible and everything is so well put together. I've been a fan of the channels behind fern for quite some time and having them work together on a channel is like a dream come true. ❤
Is the semiconductor used as a rectifier? Why digitize the (DC?) noise? Are those four frequencies really enough to cure whatever they claim to cure? 🤔 Healy is not for me. It just makes me spend time figuring out unnecessary things.😒
Friend of my mother is part of this scam and one of this promoters. So I’m from Germany and my mother believes in this thing. She paid over 3000 for this gadget. I watched stuff about Healy and tried to explain but she still believes.
I hope you guys are as careful as Healy is because you poking a hornets nest with this one. Keep up the amazing work, really looking forward to the next episode.
Now you see you can sell anything to anybody. The government doesn't look good enough. Once it's cleared, everyone believes it without question. Especially the influencers. They promote it just to make money, not to help anyone. And the fact that the funnel in the EU hasn't been closed yet is completely weird, but somehow predictable. I hope they change it, if they care at all. I didn't know anything about the device, but now I know it's garbage. Good video!

My grandma it's one of the biggest sellers of this thing (no lie). I'm going to type my experience in Spanish since it's my first language and is easier for me to express: Mi abuelita es una de las mayores vendedoras de Healy a nivel nacional (incluso llegando a escalas internacionales) y jura con su vida que esa cosa es milagrosa.
I was attempting to make a complaint but you didn’t provide their business address or anything, if anyone knows this information please tell me so as many people as possible can file a complaint about it
As a computer engineer, you made some funny misstakes in the editing in regards to the electronics. But your point still stands. As someone with experience in electronics I laughed out loud at the absolute complete bs the company spread.
Independent peer reviewed studies apply everywhere else.... why not here. Lawmakers must be held accountable. Otherwise, they are complicit, and the worst are the influences and marketing lowlife people.
I have friends with disorders that would totally fall for this thing, as someone with chronic pain myself I would've probably looked into this because my pain is unbearable and I'd do anything to stop it.
changing frequencies starts from within. I wouldn't use anything external to change my energy as I already am familiar with the concept of managing my internal experience to influence my outside experience. It takes real effort but it's cheap and effective.
More people need to see this video! It’s such a sad thing that they are targeting sick and desperate people who would do anything to have their health back 😢
The thing is, if you think this is going to help you, it might actually do that. The placebo effect is very real, and while I’m not indicating the Healy is good and works, for some of these folks, it actually benefits them bc they believe it will.

I couldn't have held back, magic is just a little hilarious.
Wrong legally seen they are NOT they're sales force. That's unfortunately the exact loophole any MLM scam is based on
“Unfettered Capitalism”
Caused by deregulating consumer protections, rolling back regulations for MLM’s (by former Dept of Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos), people that know that as long as they include in the “fine print” that this company is immune from being sued should the device not work… As well as allowing vague pseudoscience to infiltrate ACTUAL scientific studies by religious evangelicals who believe conspiracy theories that the Covid vaccine has microchips in it…
All of those, allow these scams to propagate and as regulations get rolled back, more of them are going to pop up, with the sole purpose of preying off peoples gullibility and desperation.
The issue here is proving Intent, when all you have is 'a wink and a nod.'
When I was younger and going through High School I was taught how to collect Data.
To bring it back to context, same thing is happening here:
The company only has to say to the sales team 'don't do this thing that will make you lots of money....'
They produce all those legal documents and disclaimers knowing that their sale teams are filled with people like me, who will question what happens if you do it 'the wrong way.' There will be more then enough lacking the moral compass though, who will only hear 'this will make you lots of money...' and be sold that the wrong way is in fact, grand. Those are the people who have no qualms teaching others, cause it is a multi-levelled thing in the end, that they should do it the wrong way too.
When the main company is called out on it they point to the paperwork they produced and say:
We told them not to... it is all their fault, punish them!
Oh, and if I sound bitter:
Companies do this all the time, a 'wink and a nod' as they tell their sales team what not to do.
I'm often tremendously amazed that people believe devices like this would work. Forget that it claims to heal so many things, let's start with questioning how can such a small device can, say, cure your fever, and with what, "frequencies"?

16:02 the friend of my mum had breast cancer. She got real treatment and had to use only a few pills for her whole life. I know it‘s not the best solution, but she would have been able to live. After some time she stopped taking these pills because of some esoteric shit. After one year, the cancer was back, this time untreatable and she died 4 months later, leaving behind a loving husband and two kids. My mum is also still struggling. And the worst part is that those people who advised her to let her treat herself differently, won’t get any punishment. It’s unbelievable.
I'm really sorry for your friend. It must be awful to see your loved ones change their on such important subject and their own health and turn to pseudoscience.

They're just idiots.

100 percent because they are idiotss
Bubbles are a powerful fucking thing. Distrust in institutions spreads through certain social bubbles like a wildfire. These people often aren't stupid. They were lied to and then started indoctrinating themselfes. The amount of distrust people often have into science, just because it's science is unfathomable. And it's got to be said: Social media put a turbo on this.Facebook groups and TikTok especially. And we still have no clue how to actually combat this without overbearing political intrusion into peoples freedoms. Shit's scary right now. As a physics major, I particularly enjoyed your nice explanation of the quantum information field. Thanks!
Would you as an expert say this whole quantum field theory is a thing?
@@timotheegermes468 quantum field theory is certainly a thing - a field is nothing else than an operation which associates a value to every point on space. For example, the temperature distribution in a room would be a field. You can have a quantum description of a point particle or a rigid object ( = quantum mechanics), similarly you can have a quantum description of a field (= quantum field theory). A famous example is the Standard Model of Physics, which is a quantum field theory.
The whole thing with "quantum information field" is nonsense, of course

I have absolutely no sympathy for someone who believes you can put healing frequencies into water.
Rule of thumb: You can safely ignore anything that includes "quantum"
For alt medicine bullshit, yes, but for actual science, not really.
To all the German viewers: If you want to dive deeper into the topic, I recommend the podcast episode of the WDR podcast „Quarks Science Cops“ called „Der Fall Healy“. This is were I first heard about this product. Do not get me wrong, the video is amazing (as always), just some recommendation for anyone who is interested in going down the rabbit hole.
Yes, I recommend that episode too. It is OUTRAGIOUS that Healy can still operate even though, clearly, it is a SCAM.
Gladly that’s the only other time I heard about the Healy.
What made it complicated? You can report through ftc or your state consumer protection process
