The only way to become rich by investments is to either become a Qualified Investor yourself or create a investment. There are not short cuts. "Qualified Investor" most will never ever be able to achieve!
Agreed. Unfortunately, the greed of the victims is their demise for the scam. It’s sad they lost their savings but they were greedy- expecting those kind of returns.
Love DW Documentary. Great quality, thorough, good editing. 👍

Sad but true
Salutes to the investigating team.
I always enjoy Dw documentaries; they talk about what people want and prefer. Thank you.
Speaking of fraud, the ads on this video have a banner which covers the skip button so you can't get rid of it.
It's a trap. The website shows a fake increase of your money. When you go to withdraw it, you can't get it back out.
There should be a mandatory class to warn citizens of this stuff.
Great documentary by DW, as usual. It would be helpful if the government ran massive campaigns to educate the public about these scams.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
@@DWDocumentary DW please contact me I have a case to report is much bigger than this case
The biggest scam is government debt and current monetary policy. Who will educate about that?
12 years in prison for such crimes? I will give him 1200 years.
A good rule of thumb is, you stay away from anything that is being advertised, or pushed to you, on the web.

Yea, real sound logic there. 🙄
Gouverments should release a program for citizens to let people aware of cyber crime ! It's very common across the world that victims loses large sums of money
And said some1 with Thug Life txt as photo😎
@arr8577 What's wrong with that ! Does a photo indicate who I am or what I've done in my life ? Second Even if I'm a thug I do believe in humanity and choose between what's right and what's not right 💯.
Agreed
Right now as we are watching others being scammed 😢
I sometimes translate police documents to investigations like these, and I was a bit sad the documentary made it look like all the work was done by the German police. For an investigation to work, the police departments of all the states have to cooperate effectively. So this definitely involved some good work by the Czech and Kosovan police. Not to mention the translators 🙂
Remember: If it sounds too good to be true, it is not true!!!!
This happens all the time to people in the UK. It even happened to a friend's parent and he tried to tell her to stop but she wouldn't listen to him. I had to go round and explain it all and tell her it's not real and then got her to call the banks and citizens advice. As you can imagine it was a thankless task. Lots of tears. Great fun.
Greedy and stupid are the most annoying type of people. The same type of people who fall for these ridiculous scams. Trying to convince them they're wrong is like talking to a brick wall.
@@Consul99 The scammers got her to take out £36000 in loans to 'invest'. Absolutely mental.
Just because "it happens all the time" doesn't make it right
Ambition came by behind of profit , lost in slander that don't fault of freedom marketing. Crook in acts ,be in human feel . Without freedom marketing, the people lost own freedom.
It's happening in India too. Scammers are so talented that they use emotions, gain trust of people and prepare their mind to invest and loot money not allowing to withdraw money saying it's system that allows to withdraw money when task completed. Scammers ask for more, more more and more money saying you can withdraw this time, you can withdraw after investing more to complete task but it's never ending process they creat by them through system. Later their links and they disappear. They also force and tell to ask burrow from friends, relatives or apply for loan and complete task and withdraw the money and return to friends, relatives or the loan amount. But the task never ends, they go on looting more more more money making people without any Penny in their savings, increase debts, and make them commit suicide as the people atlast realise after loosing completely left nothing and remain in shocked. And scammers simply disappear and their links doesn't work. I experienced faced huge loss of money six lakhs. 😢😢
Thank you DW for good documentaries
Nor all is good, the internet do exchange Who want. The bitcoin is describe like fraud ,awfull ,crook for hide Who state is like this. Already think Who pay debet is thief to the people like documentary acuse ,siber business is? Bitcoin is future and don't have like state see profit in that.Hide fear is word.
This is an old problem that still exists since all platforms love their ad profits. As long as someone else is the victim they can’t care less.
My Motto? " when it sounds too good to be true, it isn't!" A bird in hand is worth two in the bush." I do not gamble.
the irony is that the scammers are still essentially working a 9-5, which probably pays the equivalent of a good tech job or something like that, except the work is even shittier
Good documentary, that is why I watch DW. Scams are so common that I think that everyone is vulnerable. Just based on the frequency of them.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
Everything bought with this stolen money is tainted with negative energy.... imagine buying your kids or partner something that is contaminated like this... from a lamp on the bedside table to the car someone drives... I could never live like that....obviously some people can.
That's not the reality, can't you see politicians using public funds to buy luxury products and drinks, buy cars to their loved ones 😂 still living happily and getting praise from people.
@peacenotwar9267 It is reality, and I can imagine it.....in fact I don't need to imagine it...I live in a country where that is beyond prevalent and no, I don't admire them Sure, there are people that do, just like the people in that group photo... so I will say it again...., I couldn't imagine being like that, but some people clearly can.
@@peacenotwar9267 thats why i can never live and work together with them,
It's based on the good old saying "Too good to be true". If only those victims could have realized that and be not greedy, then nobody can do any harm to their money. Sadly still many people keep being greedy and not realizing that simple rule of "too good to be true".
Problem is that without a reference point you can't tell what's too good to be true.
@@tomlxyz Well, of course, there is no any precise measure of what is “too much”. But there are references everywhere in our daily lives. For example, if somebody told you that he drinks 5 kg of milk every day or eats 2 kg of deserts per day, then I think any ordinary normal human beings would think that is too much.
Likewise, if people claim that they can make 10% of return or more per month from an investment consistently, then that will be called “too good to be true”, and any normal ordinary human beings should think twice.
Both sides linked by greed!
38:21 Once you fall for a scam once, your information is put into a database of potential targets. Not just for the actual people that scam you, but many of these groups share information on targets, or rather sell it to other groups.
It's amazing how the intelligent people are capable of understanding how wrong it is to scam someone, even if the person getting scammed did something that seems stupid.
At the same time it is appalling how stupid some people are to think someone deserves to be scammed.
Great video!
Don't you have an investment advisor or a banker with an actual street address which you know? Who throws money on the internet or to a call center?
Exactly and why not Google the trading platforms BEFORE and not AFTER as in the case of Schneider lady

The second indignity to these fraud victims happens in the rare occasions the scammers are apprehended and processed through the legal system. The penalties and sentencing are so lax and light, that it makes it worthwhile for the perpetrators to continue scamming people. This crime pays well.

I have absolutely no pity for people that lose money when they are seeking free money without earning it.
Have you ever heard of the New York Stock Exchange ??? For almost 200 years, the goal of ALL who participate there is to make free money without earning it. The difference is that the Scam Artists at the NYSE have the Law of The Land protecting them. Essentially, the NYSE is a Government sponsored Scam, while those Scam Artists in Kosovo were essentially doing the same thing but with no "official cover". How can you expect the common people to be morally conscious when their role models at the top of the food change are Crooks ??? Monkey see - Monkey do !!!
And they can choose any reputable broker or even set up an account at their house bank, but no they want it cheapest. Meanwhile the police cannot tackle crime and help Real victims
The money you earnt whilst working where is it held? In the banks. The biggest scammers of them all.
There´s nothing wrong with investing a small sum. People are looking to diversify their incomes in these uncertain times, especially retired people who can´t work anymore and can´t influence the size of the amount they get every month from the government. Sure, a lot of people got into it by wanting to be very rich, but not everyone.
Think before you speak, nothing wrong with investing and trying to make more money, they are not criminals.
Emotional stimulation usually causes the brain to shut down, thus there are no foolish individuals here-just very emotional

I don't know how these people can be so gullible with giving their hard earned money to someone without doing enough research.
Greed and the desire for more is the root of the perpetrator and the victim, but only one wins at the end.

Just the word invest is a red flag, at least to me. You’re always better off not wasting your money on useless stuff than you are “investing”. A penny saved is a penny earned.
