I'm an old school Pantera fan and I was lucky enough to see them several times in Chicago in the 90s. I'm also musician that can be very critical when someone tries to cover one of my favorite bands, but This is a really great interpretation of the song and i love it. Awesome job 👍 🤘
You sing in a different register from Phil, so this was never going to have the same sound. The fact that you’re aware of your clean vocals and have the presence of mind to be concerned with the outcome tells me (and others) that you do care about your clean vocals, which is awesome. Once you have really found your groove for your cleans, you can integrate them into different songs even better than you already do. This is what makes you a great singer, and not just another good singer. Keep doing what you’re doing!

I've just recently discovered this massive force called "Slaughter to Prevail" and have been continuously blown away. When I used to hang out with Dime, and tell him how I didn't really want to try to learn his guitar parts because I couldn't hold a candle to matching his sound and feel. My best friend bullet "with a name" iykyk, was laid to rest last fall with a belly full cancer and cemetery gates came on as we were pulling into the animal ER, it has since been heard to me as his going out song. Growing up in a community surrounded primarily by mainstream, old school, reggae, etc, Pantera was my first ever CD as a kid, vulgar display of power. This set in motion my journey through all metal genres, and have settled on Alex Terrible / Slaughter to Prevail.

Your cleans are very different from what people are used to, myself included. That being said, dude, they are harsh and have a violent edge to them, and I can't lie. I preferred this version personally. Just feels more raw and uncut. Amazing bro keep it up Alex 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I've just recently discovered this massive force called "Slaughter to Prevail" and have been continuously blown away. When I used to hang out with Dime, and tell him how I didn't really want to try to learn his guitar parts because I couldn't hold a candle to matching his sound and feel. He'd tell me to do my own thing with it, have fun and just shred. I really like what you've done here.... very cool and sounds killer
