The Rogue Rhino Belt Squat is Rogue Fitness' first foray into belt squats and in typical Rogue fashion, they went all out. Rogue partnered with Louie Simmons of Westside Barbell to create an affordable cable-based belt squat that in our testing, is the best value belt squat we've tested. We highly recommend the Rogue Rhino Belt Squat to anyone wanting a belt squat with a lot of variety at a surprisingly affordable price (compared to a lot of the competition.)

I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B

@@andie_pl drop forces your rack to essentially be used as a half rack... If have rm 6 not sure why you'd do that. The banshee allows it to be used as a full rack and rhino without any loss of function. The drop in sounds more appealing than it is... Saves minimal bucks and limits functionality... Glad I got the standalobe. It's very beefy but fairly compact. I think can fit most home gyms fine unless you got like half a one car garage or something very small. A power rack and rhino will fit a one car garage very easily.

I've used both. That 1:1 ratio is great, but it's harder to get in and out of it.
The pit shark is about a 1.5-2:1 ratio, but it's better to get in and out of.

We got ours together yesterday. Like Coop says it is awesome. Big fan of using it banded. If using it unbolted only secure the belt while standing on the platform. Putting the belt on and stepping up can cause instability and rocking at higher weight. We also attached J hooks to the front to do RDLs today. DB Push press was brutal with bands and some horn weight.

I really enjoyed this review! My local gym JUST got this same unit and I am loving it! I feel like I can squat again because I had to give it up due to my disc issues. One question though...when performing the movement does one need to be that much bent over or should they try to be tall when coming out of the hole? I'm noticing, in the video, that you look almost bent over.
    Again...great video!!!!!

My £360 Amazon power rack has central low and high pulley. A Reebok step on each side of the low pulley puts the mid foot over the pulley wheel. The sides of the rack are perfect support handles and two ratchet straps looped over the top of the rack and on to the loading pins provide the ideal starting and unloading position. Guess I've just saved $1,700 dollars and 6x5 feet of space then.

@@norwaydbp Yeah I measured the one at my gym and measuring from hole 2, the one I use for my height and foot position, the actual weight is about 50% of the loaded weight. The machine itself weighs 50 lbs empty. I love the machine but when I build my own gym I'd definitely at least consider getting one that is a 1:1 ratio. If you have the plates it isn't a big deal because the horns are more than big enough to accommodate super high weight and that is before considering the fact it also has band pegs but you need a lot of plates.

Need some advice does the Rhino pull you forward a bit compared to Squat Max? Any knee pain issues due to this or those who have it like it? I keep going back and forth but for calf raises like the Rhino better, not planning on doing marches but its better I saw a guy squat down pick up slam ball and slam it down looks good for cardio and Rhino better for lunges. Shawn S I think it’s way overpriced and the leverages aren’t right. For example my training partner can squat just over 400 lbs but can load 700 lbs on the pit shark and do reps. He actually ended up with bruising around his hips from the belt because he had to load so much weight on. I think a good belt squat should be closer to rogues and Wenning’s model and be closer to 1 to 1.

yeah but isnt the cable being directly below you superior in tractioning the spine and helping align the pelvis and such? the lever arms still pulls you forward. dont see how i could spend money on that when i could just use a proloc on a landmine barbell and stand on 2 blocks.
also with wennings belt squat, you can only do so much. comparing that to the rogue rhino isnt apples to apples either because wenning wants $4k shipped. this rhino with spotter arms to do rack pulls shipped to CA is $2300. you can compare the wenning to the ATP. can you make that comparison?

yea I was thinking about getting the rhino belt squat plus rack..the rack it's 24" but it looks like there is only about 4-5 inches of space from the front uprights ato the rhino platform on floor..i don't see how I can do incline, decline using a bench outside of rack? Right now I have a prx wall rack and when I do decline and incline bench I have to move the bench back about 13 inches so I can bench..I don't think I will be able to bench outside this rack with rhino built in to it:(
I emailed rogue and they said that not even the 30" rack will work with a bench outside since it only has about 6-9 inches of space in the front:( so I don't know what they ment by me been able to lift outside of rack without a bench. Lol..
Iam I supoused to bench, incline, decline standing up without bench. Lol I don't know what's the purpose of them selling it with rack if I can't really use rack not even outside of it?

Hampus Brydling I have their power rack, works good enough but no options for it and the j-hooks suck. You can find other j-hooks for it. I'll say that body solid does make good products that rogue or titan don't make like pec decs, leg extension, preacher curl, leg press, hack squats.

    • @hampusbrydling6459

David Iron Necklace I have a few things from body solid and I feel like they make good stuff. I do agree that their power racks could be better. For example the power rack I own (GPR378) has a design flaw where the post that is on the ground is located right were your feet is when you unrack the squat. It's no big deal because you can easily work around it, but it is a little annoying.
Another thing about body solid is that not a lot of people from the states talk about it, is this because people prefer other brands? I feel like body solid has pretty good prices.
