Virginia those blue and purple slippers look like they’d make great holiday stockings if you never get around to fixing them.
Glad to have stumbled across your channel! I knit the Illuminate but I used Little Fox Yarns Vixen and Nuage bases. I am a loose knitter and had to go down a needle size, my sweater fits fine, but I did have to knit mine longer as her sweaters all tend to be more cropped than I prefer. I am a sock knitter and like the fit of her DRK Every Day sock and especially like the fit of the Fleegle heel on my foot, but I like to switch to a 1x1 rib on the cuff. I also knit the Shift Cowl, and wear it ALL THE TIME! I used Spincycle for it and ended up going down two needle sizes. Oh, and I’ve knit the Vintage Prim hat. I’ll probably end up gifting it because of the fit. I have a small child size noggin and it’s just too big. Maybe if I had gone down an additional size for the brim and eliminated a repeat in the length it probably would have fit better🤷🏼♀️ Hindsight is 20/20 but it’s not worth frogging. I have 3 more of her sweaters in my immediate queue so I obviously like her patterns😁

I enjoyed your podcast. I personally think Andry Mowry, (a lovely person) is overrated as a designer. I see a lot of complaints as you pointed out. I also see so much repetition. That being said, I knit Pink Fizz and Stripes - twice. Both great patterns but I think you have to do your homework before jumping in. There are sooo many other gifted designers out there that get overshadowed by the superstars.

I Impulse bought the cotton yarn she used for her vellichor because she said it was discontinued. So that’s definitely in my queue. I have knit the shift cowl and really enjoy it! I used a superwash DK tweed and so its bigger than its supposed to be, but its still super cozy and i wear it a lot. I recently knit the old port hat with my handspun and a sport weight alpaca yarn and i love that one. Annnnd i knit the free your fade shawl, which i also love but it took me forever haha. Looking forward to watching your Jessie maed video. The cozy classic light raglan was my very first sweater and i think the fit is perfect. I would definitely knit another.

What a fun video! I am a very new sock knitter (currently have my first pair on the needles) but I have been thinking about making both the DK and fingering weight ribbed socks from Andrea Mowry!

I did the stria cardigan, it was a loong journey LOL the hat was okay for me but like you said fingering weight hats are not as versatile in colder weathers. the stria cardigan definitely makes me shy away from knitting the birch though LOL
Your Stria cardigan is SO beautiful, it was worth all that time haha! But yeah knitting 2 fingering fisherman's rib sweaters is a bigggg commitment lol!
