What I always found weird is that the first 3 sanctuary guardians are found when going between 3 separate villages, and then there just being the next five sanctuaries being very close to each other.

I like the meme, but man this song is so cool and hearing it in-game feels awesome. It feels intense and slow. Like it's saying "Remember you're fighting against a dangerous foe that will not spare you if you mess up, so take your time and choose your strategy carefully" and the beat goes hard too. I also love that with the Sanctuary Guardians it plays the battle start jingle from Earthbound Beginnings instead of the proper one from Earthbound

Just played Earthbound for the first time recently because I'm an Undertale fan, and literally started dying internally when I fought the first guardian and 0:21 played. I NEVER would've thought that EARTHBOUND was where that meme came from
Beating that boss that uses only lighting attacks when your entire team, Ness apart, died cause of normal enemies and you use that item that deflects lighting attacks is pure joy.
Mother 2 kicked my ass first playthrough, but it was still really fun. I love everything about this game, from the artstyle, difficulty and characters. It was incredibly unique. The whole Mother series was great, not to mention the incredible OST.
